I was lucky enough to have found Seabron. I got an eyelash lift and my eyebrows microbladed. She was wonderful for both. The eyelash lift was so simple. I could not believe those were my eyelashes. It lasted well over 2 months. It was so nice to wake up with beautiful lashes. As for the microblading... I can't say enough good things. I have oily skin and my eyebrows and eyeliner tend to last for only a few hours before I had to retouch. I am always unhappy with how I look in photos when we are outdoors hiking or skiing because I look like I am a brow-less panda. I've spent a lot of money on 'water proof', 'stay on all day' brow pens, gel, eyeliner etc. with very little success. Well, microblading is the perfect solution! It's not the traditional tattooed eyebrow that tend to look unnatural. A micro bladed brow is drawn on stroke by stroke mimicking your natural brow hair! The result is a pair of natural looking brows that is totally sweat and smudge proof! As far as eyeliner is concerned, I did the tight liner style just to enhance my upper lash line that makes my lashes look fuller. The combination of good shaped brows and fuller upper lash line made a huge difference in terms of how I looked! I only have to moisturize my skin, put on a light tinted cc cream and tinted lip balm and I am good to go! Saves a lot of time getting ready in the morning and since I travel a lot, I also save luggage space with minimal make up and I look good even after a long haul flight! Seabron is very professional and a perfectionist. She would spend a lot of time making sure your brow shape is balanced and looks natural. She understands that brows are not necessarily symmetrical so she would adjust each side to make your brow shape compliment your face. She is very detailed oriented and did an awesome job doing a tight eyeliner for me. I am so happy with her work! Do know that this is not your typical express beauty treatment. Great things about growing up in the 90's: gel pens, tamagatchis, beanie babies, Boy Meets World, constant sugar, and Spice Girls Not-so-great things about growing up in the 90's: the skinny, pencil-thin eyebrow trend So, yeah. I plucked my eyebrows crazy skinny for a long time--to the point that they've HAD IT and sort of just stopped growing. Filling them in was my #1 makeup task for that reason--even if I went out makeup-less, I'd still try to pencil them in at least a little bit. I heard about microblading and while I was a little skeptical (tattoo...on my face?!), I did some research and was super interested. I found Native Crowns on Yelp and after a few digital conversations with Seabron, decided to take the leap and go for it. Here's what to expect: Seabron will schedule a consultation with you where you talk about all the things--what you do (and don't) want your brows to look like, whether or not you currently fill in your brows, your skin type, etc. Seabron is a total gem--you can tell she's been at this for a long time and has a super calming personality. The day of your actual microblading, she'll take a good amount of time (30-45 minutes) shaping and reshaping your brows before the actual procedure. She's great at explaining things (like how most of our eyes are a little uneven and therefore, our brows too) and making sure you love the shape. She'll then put a numbing cream on while she mixes the perfect shade. The "blade" is actually a line of 14 little needles that she drags into little hair-like strokes. The first run through doesn't feel great, but then she adds more numbing cream and the rest is cake. I also had my brows powdered which gives a filled in look--if you're one to use makeup on your brows, I definitely suggest this. The entire first microblading appointment takes about three hours in total. A six week touch up appointment is included in your service--this is to make sure everything healed correctly and you're happy with your brows. I used to wear my brows a little thicker and darker, but Seabron made a great point that I could always darken and thicken them at the touch up. We did slightly update them at that second appointment, but probably not as much as I would've if I insisted on the first appointment (which is a good thing). I'm so happy with how they look! I wake up and they're clean and ready to go--it's a timesaver every single day. They last 1-3 years, so I'm trying to take extra good care of them to make 'em last. Native Crowns is located in the super gorgeous Clementine's salon at Stanley Marketplace. Seabron has her own room so it's comfy and private, and it was a pleasure going to that salon. I researched microblading in Denver for years and kept putting it off because I was honestly scared. The idea of semi-permanent makeup on my face was terrifying. If I could give more than five stars I would. I have had sparse, almost nonexistent eyebrows for as long as I can remember. It's something I've always been self-conscious about, so I've spent the past 5 or so years of my life drawing them in. I cannot articulate how frustrating it is to be constantly worrying about accidentally wiping/sweating/swimming your eyebrows off and have a disproportionate face. I came across microblading as a solution, and saw Native Crowns' good reviews, so I reached out. Seabron responded quickly and we set up an appointment. Come the day of the appointment, Seabron was friendly and personably but very thorough. Any question I may have had she answered without me even asking. There wasn't a single point where I felt rushed/unsure of my decision. She spent around an hour just designing the look of the brows, which I really appreciated. The procedure was slightly uncomfortable, but nothing unexpected or not manageable. Today is the day after the procedure, and my eyebrows look absolutely amazing. I could not be more excited for this summer, to be able to swim and sweat and move around as much as I want without worrying about something as simple as an eyebrow. Seabron is amazing and now, thanks to her, so are my brows. I, like many girls who spent their early teens in the late 90's plucked my poor brows until there was nothing left. I've spent countless hours and hundreds of dollars trying to recreate a natural and full look. What a waste! If only I knew about Native Crowns back then.
