I've been seeing Ali for 10 years or so. She's incredibly detail oriented which shows how much she takes pride in doing a good job. She does impeccable charting so she knows exactly where she injected before and how much she used. She has me make a bunch of faces to check, and double check, where I need the Botox and filler. Angela and Ali are the best! I had an OxyGeneo facial with Angela, which was wonderful. I was literally glowing when I left the salon. Ali did Juvaderm filler for me. Angela noticed a suspicious mole on my face and suggested I get it checked by a dermatologist. I went for a complete skin check, and the doctor found a couple of other suspicious moles, one of which was the early stages of malignant melanoma. I have been going to always beautiful med spa for over two years. I used to see Erica who used to work there. She has since left. Today I saw owner Ali McCoy. I was very uncomfortable with her demeanor. She was very stressed taking on a full book of patients from Erica leaving. Sadly I was on the receiving end of that stress. I know this post will have some kind of reply that I left and refused treatment. And in fact I did. I would not allow someone with a needle near my eyes so rude and aggressive. Scared me honestly to be in her chair. I took a copy of my chart and will take by business elsewhere. Not sure what's going on here. I tried to schedule an appointment as a new patient, was told that I need to bring my records from my previous medispa, so I arranged for that. Then I was told that I need two separate appointments for different consults and different services. When I asked if there was a time slot in the near future for just ONE appointment for both services, the receptionist said she didn't know how much time she needed to set aside for the appointments. Lots of other options around for a place that will handle my services in one appointment. I will go elsewhere. read more

Another update on 6/4/15: I'd like to point out that the text below pasted from her email is a stark contrast to the public comment she provided below in response to my updated review. Now I have Ali, the owner emailing me about how offended she was that I provided honest feedback about being rescheduled. "Dana, I saw your Yelp review 2 weeks ago. Honestly, I was stunned and had to take a little while to think it through before responding." From Ali's email. Stunned? Did I say something so horrible? I even said the rescheduling was MINOR. But, I felt it was worth mentioning in my review. "You were the only person on the schedule that wasn't supportive of my situation and to accommodate you, I made these arrangements. I literally did all of that for you alone and you didn't even miss your appointment! So, to see that you talked badly about this situation was hurtful when I went above and beyond to be there for your scheduled appointment. And anytime you've received a call about coming in earlier or changing is actually a courtesy as most people would rather be seen sooner and out the door to beat traffic, etc." - from her email to me. That's a small paragraph of several. If she could not make our appointment due to personal reasons, she should have just canceled instead of jumping through hoops and then blaming me for having to work that day and unable to come in earlier. UNPROFESSIONAL. I offered to come in the following 2 Fridays instead but was told she would be out of town on vacation. Other days I was working and they work at another location further away so I just didn't have many options but I did try and I offered. I provided plenty of positive feedback based on my experience but think it's strange someone feels the need to write these long novels about how hurt they were. Sorry, not everyone has the flexibility to change appointments last minute but to be called "unsupportive" is just plain rude. Just cancel next time instead. Jeez. Only you know what's best for you and your family. If the office tells me they can accommodate, then certainly I am going to try to keep my original appointment because that's what works best for me and I've already planned around it. read more

It is amazing how many compliments I get on my eyebrows after Ali did them. I have such blonde eyebrows that honestly, they are pretty much invisible. For that reason, I have struggled with being insecure pretty much since I was in high school. I started drawing my eyebrows on about the same time, and refused to go to sleep-overs, swim parties, the beach. I didn't want people to see me without makeup just because I didn't like seeing myself without makeup. That's when I found Always Beautiful Medspa through Yelp, and let me just tell you, it was one of the best investments I have ever made. Not only was Ali completely understanding and so sweet, but she was very precise and detailed and wanted to make sure my eyebrows were as perfect as possible. From the color to the shape. With my red hair, we actually had to mix two colors to try to get the right shade to match my hair. Now almost a year later, I can go out without makeup without feeling self-conscious. I had permanent eyebrows done by Ali and it was the best money I have ever spent. I get compliments on how perfect my eyebrows look all the time. Not only did she make it look natural where I had major hair loss, but she also helped me reshape my eyebrows to help lift my face! What a difference it makes! If you don't like to wear too much makeup - permanent makeup is the way to go and Ali is a person to see. She did awesome job on few of my friends including a brow correction. I do not write many reviews on yelp but, this one I feel is SUPER important so I am. Permanent makeup is obviously a permanent decision and although I have other tattoos, one I was a bit worried about getting right. I just finished my touch up appointment with Ali and I can honestly say her handling of that has made me an even bigger supporter of her work and her business now. Ali took a LOT of time the first go round to make sure she had my eyebrows just right; color, depth, centered on my face all of it. I was super satisfied but, Ali insisted I come in for a touch up to make sure and I am glad she did. Ali saw some loss of color (that was my fault) that I didn't think much of and hooked my completely backup on the touch up appointment. Ali takes her job and customer satisfaction very personal and very serious and I will recommend her and her practice to anyone I come across seeking permanent makeup and will likely be back myself for more work.
