My fresh eyeliner and healed ombre powder brows.
Mars B.

Wow, I can't say enough good things about Accent on Faces! Alesya is a true artist! My brows and eyeliner are leaps and bounds better than others in town. Her work is flawless and sought after. Just look at the proof in her photos. Worth the money and worth the wait. This is your face and body forever, invest in the best. Don't cheap out with a random person offering a discount, the work or end result can not compare. You deserve the best.

Eyebrows after procedure

Alesya is a master at her craft. I was no easy client, but she took my thin eyebrows and fading lips and made them look naturally beautiful. She took away YEARS from my appearance by giving me fuller, beautiful eyebrows. I had chalked it up that my eyebrows were forever thin, and at the rate I was going, likely to be gone before too much longer. In addition, she redefined my lips that were so faded of color that you couldn't make out the line around them anymore. To top it off, she shaved tons of time off of my morning routine. I no longer spend 30 mins drawing on my eyebrows and lips! As a mother of 6, time is incredibly valuable to me. Alesya was very through in explaining everything, included how to keep my beautiful lips and brows beautiful. I can't express my gratitude for her meticulous, detailed work to make me look and feel beautiful again. Thank you Aleysa. I'm already sharing your contact with every woman I know. I highly recommend any one looking for superb work, go see Aleysa for the best permanent makeup in Colorado.

I could not be more impressed with Alesya and her work!!! I had microblading done just over a month ago and went in for my touch up this week. She is kind, professional and most importantly- INCREDIBLY talented! You can tell she takes great pride in her work, but more so in making sure her clients are happy with the results. During the initial session, she took time to speak with me about my desired outcomes & my normal daily beauty routines; she then took her time in measuring & drawing the outline for my brows and chatting through with me to make sure I would be pleased with the shape, size once they were sketched. My biggest fear that held me back from getting microblading done sooner was that they would look too big or fake on my face; I also don't typically wear a full face of makeup each day and wanted something that would look very natural, despite the fact that I have very thin/light eyebrows to begin with. Now my only regret is that I should've gone to her sooner! I can't believe how natural and real they look. You can't even tell where my real eyebrows end and the microbladed "hairs" begin. I am truly blown away. Not to mention the HUGE confidence boost! My eyebrows healed wonderfully, and during my touch up she filled in just a few small strokes where it was needed. Again I saw the exact same professionalism, care, concern and pride in her work as I did during my initial session. She gives you ample after-care information both in paper form and verbally goes over it with you. Follow the instructions! Just like any "regular" tattoo you need to exercise care during the healing process. I've attached a photo showing my eyebrows; top photo is no makeup at all/not drawn on, middle photo is my (horrible!) attempt at drawing them on... which I did every.single.day for the last 14 years of my life... the bottom photo is literally 5 minutes after I left my initial appointment, so keep in mind they're darker than what my final result looked like. I didn't think to snap a pic before my touch-up session, and I'm back in the healing cycle (yes, it's a little weird the first couple days with them being so bold and dark...but hey, beauty regimens sometimes require weird!) but once they're fully healed from the touch up and assuming I think of you wonderful Yelpers, I'll add a picture then. Here's a video on her Instagram showing the results right after the initial procedure. I can't believe how thin and light my natural brows were, but more importantly how real her work looks!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! https://www.instagram.com/p/BtTHdzCnJuo/ You can quit reading now, unless you're an obsessive review reader like me. If so, then this part is for you: I want to quickly address the two or three negative reviews here (yes, I read literally all of them before my initial appointment) as they mentioned things that just are not true. 1- NO she is NOT mean! I feel bad someone would even say that about her. She is kind, committed and obviously loves what she does. Just because there isn't a lot of chit-chat during the procedure does not equate to "mean". Also-- I don't even like my hairdresser talking too much while she cuts my hair (lest she take too much off!) so I certainly don't mind that Alesya took her time to concentrate on her work. I also like the music she plays while working as it distracts me from thinking about the blade two inches from my eyeball. 2- She is in high demand! If you've seen her Instagram, website or reviews, her talent is unparalleled ... so those complaining about having to wait what, a day or two for a call back should check their expectations. 3- Yeah so the first pass is done without numbing creme... I have anxiety so I was nervous for this part (despite having 6 tattoos and numerous piercings over the years lol). It felt like a scratching feeling, even though the dye does burn a bit. I also have *extremely* sensitive skin so the burning could've been slightly amplified by that. Oh, and any other people with sensitive skin, another worry of mine was an allergic reaction to the pigment and I'm happy to report I didn't have any reactions myself :) Thank you Alesya for your talented work but mostly for the HUGE confidence boost! I look forward to seeing you for many many years to come to maintain these amazing brows!!

After my one month touch up

Alesya is truly amazing at what she does. I had microblading done for the first time last month and had my touch up today. My eyebrows look amazing. The color and shape are perfect, and they look so natural! As a nurse myself I was extremely particular about who I wanted to do this. I spent quite a while researching and am definitely happy with my choice. Not only does Alesya have the microblading training, but she is a registered nurse who knows about clean and sterile techniques. I honestly can say I will be coming back for all my yearly touch ups here!

Leaving the touch up appointment for micro blading, color match was spot on!
Mandy R.

I am beyond ecstatic with the results of the micro blading done on my eyebrows and could not have asked for a more professional artist. I previously had very heavy handed eyebrows that I would apply every other day because I did not know how else to make my eyebrows stand out. I arrived for my appointment and was reassured that my eyebrows would fit my face and match the color of my hair. I was not disappointed, the color match was spot on for my hair and the shape of the brow was perfect for my face. The micro bladed brow is much more subtle but highlights my face and brings out my eyes. Alesya truly cares about her clients and strives for nothing short of perfection with her work. I highly recommend Alesya as she's done quality work that has left me in awe of.

After researching reviews online and looking over many photos I came across Alesya and couldn't be happier. She really puts you at ease about the microblading process and what shape and color are best for you while also getting your personal input. She is definitely a perfectionist about her work and takes the time needed for perfect brows. She is very knowledgeable in the process and do's and don'ts of microblading and you leave the salon with all the information you need to get the best results throughout the healing process. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will be a returning client. Since I had the procedure I have had multiple compliments on my brows. She is great.

Before Aleysa shaved my eyebrows without permission.

If I could give negative stars I would! I discovered PhiBrows and was impressed with their technique so I started to research PhiBrow Master artists in Denver and found Accent On Faces -Alesya Mulholland. The reviews on multiple sites were good so I decided to book my consultation and microblading. I was told that she had a surprise opening in her schedule for the week of July 8th. Upon arrival she said that my brows were nice and she thought she could work well with them. She asked what I was hoping for and I explained that I wanted my natural brows enhanced so that I would not have to fill in the gaps, my goal was natural brows that took less maintenance. I told her that I like the shape of my brows and did not want the square heavy brows that you often see on young girls. She agreed and said she knew exactly what I was looking for. She took photos and then had me lie down on the table. She began measuring and drawing... Alesya asked if she could trim my brows and I asked with what and she said scissors, I agreed. She then had me sit up and she continued to work on the shape drawing, combing, and measuring. I asked to see the shape and she told me I needed to wait until she was done. She then asked if she could cleanup the inside of my brow near my nose (she used her finger to touch where she was going to clean up) and I asked with what and she said a razor. I agreed to cleaning up just that spot. I felt the razor right where she had pointed and then on the left side in the mirrored spot; however, she cut me when she used the razor on the left. She then offered me a mirror and said, "Now we will discuss the shape that I have drawn and see if we agree." When I first looked in the mirror I was taken back w/all the drawing and marks on my face so I pulled the mirror closer, that's when I realized she had completely shaved off my eyebrows on both sides from the arch to the end of the tail! I was horrified! I'm not sure when she did this, she never asked if she could shave anything other than the inside by my nose. I think when I was laying on my back and felt her combing my brows she was shaving not combing. She had drawn a new tail from a much higher arch...the top edge of where my eyebrow tail had been would have been the bottom of the new tail. I immediately asked why she had done this and she said my brows were too low and that they made my eyes look too heavy, hooded and tired. She said this was better and that people pay money to have brow lifts, she was doing this to make me look better. She told me I would have to commit to shaving or plucking my brow completely off from the arch to the tail or I would have 2 tails. I was HORRIFIED, I never gave her permission to shave my brows off! I never wanted her to completely raise my brows and change their natural shape. I went to her to get my natural brows enhanced and specifically told her I wanted very natural looking brows and for her to just fill them. She told me she would not enhance my natural brows and that I needed to do as she was instructing, or she would not be willing to do the microblading. I told her I wanted my brows in their natural position not higher -she refused. She told me she would not microblade my eyebrows unless I agreed to let her do them higher and agreed to shave or pluck the natural tail. I told her I absolutely would not allow her to microblade brows above where my actual brows sat and that I came to her to have natural brows that were less maintenance. She insisted she knew better, that I should be thanking her for showing me how much better I could look with brows that sat higher on my face. I told her I had no desire for my brows to sit higher on my face...I grabbed my purse and left. I sat in my car for a few minutes crying, I had pencil all over my face, I had a bloody spot under my left eyebrow where she had cut me, and my eyebrows were completely shaved off from the arch to the tip of the tail. She left my face a mess! At no point did she have the right to shave my brows off (this was during the consultation part of the appointment, there was no reason for that!)! I now have to wait weeks for my brows to grow back in. I went to her for natural, low maintenance brows and I walked out with the opposite. I now have completely drawn in brows that look completely fake and are a ton of work. I saw the original microblader that I was anticipating using in the Denver area and she was horrified; she said there was no reason to shave during a consultation or during a procedure and there was no reason to raise my brows. Another microblading artist was present, and she too was horrified. I showed her my 'before' pictures and she agreed that my original brows were perfect for my face and just needed a slight filling in. Do not risk it! Go somewhere else! If you want to see who Ms. Mulholland truly is read her responses to the other negative reviews - she is unprofessional, rude, and in my opinion incompetent.

We'll call her Erica the Butcher. But this Erica--the Expert--did more than just fix them--they are fantastic! And for HALF what Erica the Butcher charged me! You can only see a faint hint of red left over from the Butcher's work because she went so high with them, but Erica the Expert was able to cover up the old taboo crisscross marks beautifully. I think they look very natural now and are the perfect color, but judge for yourself--pics to come. She did my lips last week too--I'm old, so they had lost their color and definition, and she did such a nice job redefining them and giving me a very natural color. I'm really pleased with how nicely they turned out. The most wonderful thing about Erica though is that she really listens to what you say and sincerely wants you to get what you want and for you to be happy with it, and she will always work toward that end. It's never about a vision that SHE has for your face. She is caring, thoughtful and accommodating. You'll love her.

I waited until all of my brow touch ups were completed and healed before writing this review so I…read morecould give good feedback. This review is long because getting a tattoo on your face is a big decision. If you're curious about why I chose Oxana and all the details about the tattooing and healing process, read on, but if you just want the short story, I'm extremely happy. I went from having virtually no eyebrows, to getting compliments on them all the time. My makeup routine in the morning has been cut by 15 minutes, and I'm comfortable leaving the house with no makeup on because my brows look so perfect that it makes my face look more lifted, more framed, and more "done" even without mascara and lipstick on. Be prepared for multiple treatments, and know that it will be a couple months before you get the result you want, but once it's complete, you will be satisfied. I couldn't be happier, and I only wish that these were completely permanent. Now, for the long story... BACKGROUND I researched permanent brow tattooing for almost a year before I finally made my appointment. I consulted with different brow artists, including some outside of Colorado. I don't have any tattoos and the thought of getting one on my face was a little scary, and I wanted to be sure that I was choosing a reputable and skilled artist who knew what they were doing and wouldn't leave me with something on my face that I wished I could erase. I also wanted to make sure it was a safe process. I looked at FDA and health department regulations, the educational and training requirements, and the reviews for the training centers people went to. OXANA & MILE HIGH MODERN BEAUTY Rest assured that Oxana operates a very high quality operation. Her facility is spotless, she uses very stringent cleanliness procedures and is certified by the health department. She's been trained all over the world, and uses a safe, high quality ink. She's extremely good at color matching, and making sure that she uses ink that won't turn weird colors when they fade. I narrowed my list down to the top 3 artists, one from New York, one from Los Angeles, and Oxana. After researching and reviewing their work, I felt most comfortable with Oxana, because I've seen her work in person and felt confident in her ability to draw brows that fit each person's face. I also felt more comfortable with an artist in my own state because it's easier to get to touch up appointments and to visit her if something went wrong (though nothing did). PROCEDURE I had my brows touched up twice (for a total of 3 procedures). The first time, I was anxious that it would be painful, but it wasn't. Your brows will be numbed with a cream, but it wears off. When they're numb, you pretty much don't feel a thing. When it wears off, you feel scratching similar to a safety pin scratching you very lightly at a 45 degree angle. It's not relaxing, but it doesn't hurt. My first appointment took about 3 hours. The 2nd and 3rd to an hour and a half. 5 days into the healing process, they peel, flake off, and fade away. I knew this was expected, but I wasn't prepared for the beautiful design of my brows to disappear as much as they did the first time. I emailed Oxana in a panic thinking I was a bad candidate for tattooing and considered cancelling my second treatment. She reassured me that the amount of fading was normal, and that they would darken over the next several weeks, which they did. It took almost 3 months to complete the process, but it was SO worth it. HEALING PROCESS I was meticulous about the healing procedures. I kept my brows clean, didn't get them wet, and bathed in the sink for 5 full days to avoid humidity and splashing. I avoided the sun, going outdoors only with a hat on, if at all, didn't work out for 10 full days, and tried my hardest not to sleep on my face. The second treatment I learned to sleep with a neck pillow, and this kept me from ending up on my face at all, even if I turned on my side. RESULT People are constantly complimenting my brows, asking if I just had them waxed because they always look like I just walked out of the salon, or like I just walked out of the makeup artists chair because they are so perfectly matched to each other and to my face. I never have to think before I wipe my face when I work out, or sweat, or go to the beach, wondering if I remembered to take my makeup off or if I'm about to wipe one brow off. Sometimes people say things like "Your face looks really good, did you do something different?" and I tell them my eyebrows are tattooed on, and they are always surprised because they don't look harsh or fake or "in your face" like people expect them to. They just look like I am really, really good at putting on my makeup (which I'm not). I really couldn't be happier, and I highly recommend Oxana if you are considering getting your brows done. You will not be disappointed, and you can be assured that you are going to get a top quality result.
