The service here has always been stellar, and in a COVID-19 world it's no different. Upon arrival, clients should either text Tonie or call the front desk number that is posted on the door. When Tonie is ready, she will escort you back to her salon. She's allowing time in between clients to ensure proper cleaning. And of course, everyone needs to wear masks. Im a little shook--I've been doing it wrong all this time. Eyebrow threading is WHERE ITS AT! Tonie does such a great job..you can tell this is her art. She was sensitive to the fact that I was a noob and a little nervous. I have tons of sensitivity on my face, so I let her know how waxing has affected my skin in the last and she definitely took that in, and walked me through process. Pretty good experience here! I found it a bit tricky to find but I think they moved locations so might not matter there. I made an appointment online and that was super easy. I felt like she was super precise with my brows and tried to make sure each misplaced hair was fixed, which I really appreciated! It was worth it for the yelp discount as well. I found Tonie and The Brow Snob via Groupon, bought it on a Friday and had an appointment the next day on Saturday morning. She's located in the Oxygen Day Spa at 3rd and Josephine and has a little room in the back. She's super friendly and asked me what I wanted to do with my brows. Was very unpleased with the quality of work. Had an eyebrow threading today with Tonie and was surprised that she did such a poor job since she has all of these wonderful reviews online. Just relocated to Denver and have had my brows threaded for over 5 years, so it's not as though I am just being subjective and don't know what to expect. She made one eyebrow absurdly thin, that looked nothing like the other and showed me the mirror as if she thought it looked good. In addition, after she attempted to fix it by now thinning out the other side (EEK!) she showed me the mirror again and there were blatant stray hairs that I had to point out. She seems like a very nice person and was quite apologetic for what she had done and offered a refund, which I commend her for. The issue is that I expected someone with her reviews, and that fact she solely focuses on brows and is an expert...to do a quality, expert job. Not sure if it was an off day or what was going on as she did seem frazzled since she was late, but I am embarrassed as to how my brows now look and have to go fix them with someone else, if that is possible. read more
