But today I realized my toes aren't even painted to the ends of my toenails!!! What! I paid $57 for this pedicure including the tip and a 9 year old could have painted these better. I promised my sister a pedicure & manicure for her birthday. Some sister time after her birthday. She had an appointment not far from where I live. I choose a place close to me that I thought would be affordable and give enough time for us to chat, but give her enough time to get to her appointment. This location is located off Colorado Blvd and Mississippi on the Northeast corner. It is in a shopping center plaza. I made an appointment there 2 days prior. When we arrived, parking was fine. Though I was bothered by the guy who asked if I wanted him to buff out my car. Not interested and a parking lot approaching women is not appropriate. That isn't how to conduct business. Anyways, we were on-time and went inside. We were greeted and we picked our colors. I decided to have a manicure done while she had a manicure and then a pedicure. Mine seemed to go fine and I was happy with my aesthetician. Her pedicure seemed to go fine too. My sister's manicure was a disaster. Let me start by saying I know my sister is particular, it runs in our family. I am super selective too. However, we are respectful and courteous. I am not sure if it was a language barrier issue or what, but my sister was mortified when the lady told her that she was expecting perfection and she couldn't help her. We ended up leaving immediately. I paid for the pedicures, including a tip for my aesthetician, but never had such an experience in my life. I felt embarrassed for my sister AND for the business to talk to a customer in such a way. It was my first visit and my last. Family comes first. We ended up going to Bora Bora nearby (we made calls) and they took us right away and didn't give my sister any issues with what she wanted done. I don't think there was a language barrier issue either. They understood her plenty. My thoughts are, make sure you are clear in communicating what you want from the start, before they even touch your nails. read more

The woman doing my nails took a chunk out of my finger with the cuticle scissors and left me bleeding for the duration of my experience. The dipping was a mess. This nail salon is the absolute best. Their staff is so friendly and accomodating! Today I walked in for a fill without an appointment and had to wait about 30 minutes (I didn't mind; I expected to wait). The staff checked in multiple times to make sure I was ok with waiting and even let me sit in the massage chair while I waited. I went in for a pedicure with 3 other friends. The lady helping me prepared the water and started working on feet. She then put lotion/chemical on her glove to massage my right leg. She put her hand on my calf and then stopped, got up and walked away. My leg started to burn. During this time I took a photo and showed my friend next to me. I had know idea of what just happened. A few minutes later the lady came back and pretended like nothing happened and starting massaging my other leg ignoring the leg she just burnt with a chemical. I believe the owner was helping my friend to the left and did or said nothing. I'm pretty sure I received 2nd to 3rd degree burns, I have know idea what chemical she put on my leg to do this. it took months to heal and now my leg is scarred. I just sent an email. The nail tech did a great job and was fast with no mistakes. For everything it was $17, which doesn't add up to the math from their online menu. If you're black. Don't go here. This is the second salon in Denver where I am the only person of color and am treated different than other clients. If they don't think that's apparent, than it's a reflection of their own lack of awareness. I initially went in to get a dip manicure done, I had a previous dip design on my nails and as they were taking it off my nails were feeling sore so I asked if instead of dip we could just do a manicure so my nails could rest. The lady doing my nails didn't shape my nails, she didn't clean underneath my nails, my cuticles look raggedy. I had to ASK her to shape my nails after I heard the other lady who worked there next to us, ask the woman she was helping "if she liked the shape". In the middle of the manicure she asked if I wanted my eyebrows done, when I said no thank you she said something in her native language and laughed. I was so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave, so I didn't ask to get anything else done. I will add a picture of my nails. It's frustrating and heartbreaking to have to write this, but business need to be held accountable. Treat everyone the same, it's not ok. It never was ok or ever will be, do better. read more

NEVER GO HERE Came in for dip nails because the salon I normally go to my girl was out of towns they usually last me 1 full month and the set I got here all cracked and fell off the next day. NEVER AGAIN! I won't type my review in all caps but just had to get that out because two weeks later, I'm still pissed off about my experience. Three of us went here after work on a Monday night with appointments set up. We picked our colors (huge selection) then the experience went downward from there. The girl doing my pedicure said two things to me the entire time, the first one being "Is that your color?" and then NOTHING through the whole pedicure, that was a tad awkward. She barely let me soak my feet and got to work on my toes right away. While doing my cuticles, she pricked my skin and it hurt so I said "Ow". She kept going and did it again when I screamed "OW!" that time and almost kicked her in the face. I think she finally got the point that it hurt me and then finished the pedicure. I was chatting with my friends trying to enjoy the experience when she came up to me to say the second thing of the night "Are you ready to pay?". I gave her my card, we continued to talk then at 645p they started to turn off the lights and get their coats. I was confused by this since the sign on their door clearly says they are open until 7p. They didn't say one word to us like ummmm "Hey, we're closing early" then just stood there, looked at us so we got our belongings together and went outside to continue our conversation. Oh yeah, I didn't mention how my color still wasn't dry on my toes and I was wearing the crappy flipflops they give you huh? That and the fact that it was snowing so I had to walk through the snow in the flipflops was just the cherry on the sundae for my experience at CT Nails. Once more--NEVER AGAIN! If you're going to get your nails done, visit a place that knows what customer service is and how to treat paying patrons. This place freakin blows. read more

My nail technician that dos my pedicure didn't file my nails, clip my cuticles, she only put one coat of polish on, and I purchased the second from the most expensive. My boyfriend received it but I did not. It was just meh. I used to live near here and went all the time so I made a special trip to go here. I've been trying out different places around denver to find one close and have been disappointed every time. I will say that I like that they use bowl liners for the pedicure chairs. I'm not a snob by any means, but I was very disappointed with the service I got at CT nails. As a younger customer I was treated terribly. The woman painting my nails asked me how old I was right as I sat down. I told her I was 20 and then she tried to make me pay before I even got my nails painted. I said I would rather pay after since that's the typical protocol and she put up a fight and was very rude about that, yet I didn't see anyone else being asked to pay beforehand. I'm assuming she wanted to either make sure I had the funds to pay for it since I'm young or she wanted to see how well I tipped in order to base how much effort she would put into my manicure and pedicure. Overall, the mani/pedi was decent. Nothing special, but not bad by any means. I will not return simply because of the service I received. Warning: they also try to get your money by up-charging for every little thing. Very mediocre experience with poor service. Will not be returning. There are much better nail salons in Denver. read more
