For this to be the new hot nail trend, I am shooocked that not many places in the Denver area offer this service. Anyone who gets their nails done especially GelX knows that's not something that can be fixed in 30 freaking minutes. When I asked them to please just give her the money back the woman refused. $92 to the trash. Not even willing to work with us on a solution. Worst experience ever. Not professional at all. Ladies do yourselves a favor and do not go to this place. SOOOO MANY better places in Denver where you'll actually be treated with some respect and dignity. I'm embarrassed for y'all as a business. First time trying this Nail salon. Always wanted to but don't think I'll be coming back. Nail tech is very nice and owner is kind as well. Only problem I had... my nails. Missing polish on the sides, gel was left on the sides of my nails digging into my skin then lifted in the 1st week and it looks like the gel nails don't fit my nails with my real nails peeking out from the sides they also did catch on my clothes. The staff is very nice if you have any problems they scheduled you in but I shouldn't for $130 + tip Lady next to me got her nails put on Instagram and I understand why mine (yes they are plain) weren't. A very big HELL YEAH to my new favorite nail salon. And it's within walking distance from my 'hood. No, there's not the typical massage chair/pedi bowl combo here. But as other reviewers have mentioned, there's no harsh chemical smells or slight dust in the air like you might experience in other nail salons. It's extremely clean, hip and doesn't have your corner nail shop vibe at all. Speaking of vibe, I gotta give a shout out to the Lauryn Hill Pandora station playing while I visited yesterday. Not only did I get some late 1990's and early 2000's hip hop flashbacks (Fugees, Mary J, India Arie), but it made the late afternoon experience that much sweeter. What else made the whole thing awesome was that it wasn't loud or crowded. They said Saturdays and Sundays are their busiest, FYI. I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure. My nails took a little longer than usual since the polish was kinda funky and because I was being extra patient, they gave me a slight discount. I didn't mind the extra time pampering and gladly tipped more since I was having a perfectly good time. $55 for both (plus tip) was a pretty darn good value. Call ahead to make an appointment if you don't want to wait. Or if you do, there's a velvet couch in the waiting area... there's worse places to pass the time! Stopped by here after a really rude experience at a "high end" salon. The staff was nice, attentive, courteous, and really cared about how my nails turned out and my experience with them. The gel manicure with nail art and tip was $50 which is more than I usually pay home in California, but seems to be average around here. The good: quality! I got a shellac manicure that was the best I've had in Denver. The polish lasted 3 weeks and the manicure itself was great and very thorough. $37 for a shellac manicure is reasonable to me. The bad: the atmosphere here was really weird. No TV's to mindlessly watch (I am very bad at small talk). The music was great in my opinion but the older lady doing my nails seemed to really dislike it. It ended up being a bit of a music war between the front desk girl and the lady doing my nails. The pedicure chairs are also just plain folding chairs... not the massage chairs I usually see in salons. Overall I'm not sure I'd come back solo. Maybe with a friend to distract me. read more

I had an appointment with Robin, going into the salon it was dark and unwelcoming. My nail artist kept talking about her husband cheating on her and how she was going to beat up the girl. I didn't want to hear it nor get involved. I have had gel x nails before and she refused to cut the nails down to the length I liked and said and couldn't do it. I had a great experience at Hey Babe. I came in on a crappy weather Saturday (rare, I know!). Naomi was working and was awesome. She started my nails and after getting half way through on my gel manicure decided to start over because she didn't like how it was turning out. I've NEVER had that happen to me. I would have ended up having my nails peel in a week and been upset. Thankfully Naomi helped me avoid that dilemma. I'm about a week and a half in and no chips so far. This is a clean and cozy salon with cute modern decor and relaxing tunes. I enjoyed how fresh smelling this place was - no nail polish stink here! The service was friendly and my nails do look nice. However, do not come here expecting anything except your nails done - this place is totally zero frill. The polish selection is limited, and besides nail service the only extras included are a hot towel and about five-seconds massage on each hand or foot. I don't treat myself to mani/pedis often, so I really missed the extras. This place does not have massage chairs, no jets on your feet, extremely limited massage on feet and hands and no massage for legs/arms. There was no exfoliating scrub, no callous remover, and no nice smelling lotions. Given that the price point is similar to other salons in the neighborhood which do include these extras, I left with my nails done yes, but feeling disappointed and not as relaxed as I would have hoped. read more

A new staple for me! Locally owned, clean, doesn't smell like chemicals (cuz they don't do acrylics) and very friendly technicians. I've never had an issue with being seated quickly as a gel mani walk-in (been about 6 times). They do a great job, have attention to detail and care about the health of your nails/cuticles. I absolutely LOVE this place, I've been twice now and both experiences were excellent! My gel manicure lasted almost a month looking flawless. I have two toddlers so mine are usually destroyed after a week and a half even with gel. The owner and staff are always warm, welcoming and accommodating. The salon is chic, modern and clean.
