I've been to this nail salon a handful of times, the last visit I made was the worst mani/pedi I've ever received given the lack of lasting results. It's a nice place. I don't want to write this review but just sharing the truth. It was less than 12 hrs since receiving my gel manicure. I already had a polish chipped nail. That's never happened to me before after all the years and gel manicures. Less than 12 hrs? Never. Less than 2 days I had 3 Polish chipped nails from my gel manicure. Less than a week, even my toenails, which were not gel, but they always last longer than anything even being regular polish, I also had a chipped toenail. This is truly unprecedented. Why didn't I go back? Answer, because I got my mani/pedi done the day before I was leaving to go out of town. I never would've thought within a week any nail would've chipped. I paid $100. I got worse results than if I did my nails at home on my own for free. In retrospect, as she was doing my fingernails, I especially noticed she was really quick on the shortness of the UV machine. She only cycled it through one time each hand and layer and quickly pulled the machine away sometimes before it was done. Was that the issue? I remember thinking is that long enough under the UV light to fully cure? I thought to myself of course because I'm not trying to question the "professionals", right. I just thought maybe this machine is quicker/more advanced/newer than mine at home so the nail tech would know! But as it always turns out, my intuition was correct. At least it seems because of what happened shortly after with the chipping. My biggest turn off with any nail salon, and it's happened many times, is when the person doing my nails seems like they're in a hurry. Anytime that happens the job just isn't well done. I've walked out of places after ordering a mani/pedi when only half the job was done because the worker seems like they want to close up and are in a rush. I'll just keep my money in that case and do my own nails at home. Because I'm not trying to pay all kinds of money for a less than stellar job. I don't know why so many nails chipped so fast other than it just seemed like the nail technician wasn't being thorough. Maybe rushing? After this experience, I just can't return because I can't trust the quality. And it's too expensive of a price tag for results that I have to fix myself the next day and the day after, etc. I'm paying this extra money to someone else so that I do not have to do this stuff myself every once in a while when I'm trying to pamper and treat myself. Something is wrong here with their process or that particular technician's process, but that's not my job to figure out. The salon needs to train correctly and adhere to the best practices for customers. I expect quality for my money. And gel nails should not be chipping in less than one day. Or a week. Toenails should not be chipping in a week. Something isn't right. I want my $100 back! But didn't return home from out of town until a week and a half later, so nothing I could do to say the job wasn't well done so long afterwards. Sadly, I just won't go back. Like I said it's a nice place, but quality is more important than anything. And there are way too many other options to go to instead. read more

I was able to get a pedicure as a walk in and I was staying right next door so this was the most convenient. There's a list and I opted for the slightly more expensive pedicure at $65 - not quite the top but not the bottom or middle. Besides a little bag she opened that had the name of the scent I selected, I'm not sure what was much different than a regular pedicure. It was over in maybe 35ish minutes... my toes chipped within a week and I usually always do regular polish on toes as if just stays forever, but I guess not here. I would say go for the cheapest since you'll probably get that service anyway and not be hit with the $25 over fee. There were two people who were already getting a pedicure when I sat down and they weren't finished by the time mine was done. I'll pass next time. read more

My nails looked better going in than coming out. I just moved from SF and my gel still looked perfect after the move and unpacking but it was growing out. I asked for a pedicure with buff and to take my gel off and do a regular manicure. The buff was an extra $5 which I have never paid, those buffing cubes are super cheap. The woman doing my toes cut them so short that there was no white left, she did not shape them and they were not even. She also told me that I had no cuticles to cut. So I was going to pay $45 for this? I asked for someone else and the woman that came over told me that the one working on me was very experienced. I insisted on someone else, but at this point, the damage was done. I saw her work on another client, and with in 10 minutes, she was already applying polish. I'm used to pedicures taking 45 minutes and being meticulous. First, they only had one person working on me, I had to move from the spa chair to the manicure table, so why not have it done at the same time? They wrapped my nails in foil and acetone but didn't wrap them on hot towels to loosen the gel. They were in there for a while and the gel was still hard to remove, while my skin was getting dry. They didn't soak them before doing the cuticles. The polish went on thick and they didn't wait for the top coat application. After 15 minutes under the fan, it was still not fully dry and got smudged which I fully expected. The woman doing my manicure was very friendly and chatty and she was more skilled but not detail-oriented. The lighting in the salon was poor so it was hard for them to see the details. I was there for two hours and had to come home and fix my nails for an hour. For close to $100 this was a terrible experience. read more

The location is right downtown, easy to get to. The staff welcomed me when I walked in, and told me where to sit. The young lady asked me what I wanted, and I made some suggestions when I wanted my nails a little bit shorter, she did it without hesitation. They were well shaped and painted. Im 60 years old, male, and I've never felt so excluded for being a man. This was the most horrible mani-pedi I've had in my life! I paid $80.00+ dollars and I didn't even get my hands in warm water! Definitely recommend this nail salon for a good dip manicure. I found this place on a whim when I had a layover in Denver and really wanted my nails done. They fit me in quickly and easily on a Tuesday. I got a dip manicure with Love is in the Bare. She took her time with the manicure including cleaning up my cuticles - which a lot of places don't do if you get dip I've found. Right after choosing my color I was seated in my chair for a pedicure. The pedicure seats have an awesome massage back! The seats, equipment and salon overall was very clean!
