I wanted to try a new salon out and was extremely disappointed. When they were removing my gel polish on my toes i told the lady i had sensitive skin and she hurt my toes like every single one with the filer. then when i kept twitching bacause it hurt she gave ME a dirty look... that was the first lady. the second lady came by and because i guess they were going in a rotation jojo i think was her name did a great job however the first lady came back and was doing a color that wasn't the right color. i could have forgiven all of that because they kinda fixed the color later, but... i had gel on my toes and nail polish on my hand and the nail polish still hasn't dried and it has been over an 1 hour and 30 minutes. idk what was going on but if my polish had turned out nice i could have forgiven everything else. Such a strange experience, I called the day before and made an appointment for a gel mani and pedicure with acrylics take off and they said it would be a $20 up charge and I said that was fine. I asked if they needed any information to confirm my appointment and was told no. I showed up the next day at the agreed time and they were upset they had to take off my acrylic it took almost 2 hours and the quality wasn't that great. I didn't even get the pedicure I made a reservation for because they told me my manicure took too long and other customers were waiting. I am so sick of being "nickeled and dimed" by these nail salons that are not transparent. I was charged $10 extra for sparkles masquerading as something else. I was charged this with out telling me prior. That was after being talked into an upgraded pedi ( which I did know the price). I paid and tipped well but will not return for lack of transparency. I had been going there for a while and was happy up until this. Now they just lost a customer. Just got a dip manicure and gel pedicure with Tseegi and I am super impressed! She did an amazing job cleaning my cuticles, and I am super picky with them. I bite them and leave them bleeding often but she was super careful around the areas I'd messed up. Her polish and dip application was perfect! I should also mention how patient she was at removing my Gel-X full set, and I love that she only used a regular file after soaking, no mechanic ones (which I always fear may file too much). Why didn't someone tell me that for the price of an expensive haircut I could sit back in a cushy massage chair; take my shoes and socks off and roll up my pants, and then have a beautiful woman soak my feet, wash my feet, massage my feet, treat my feet to a nailcut (I'm callin' it a "nailcut" like in "haircut" 'cause it sounds kinda manly that way:), and then give me a hot stone massage treatment and wrap my legs and feet in warm towels. Really? Who knew? I'm this old and forever have totally brushed it off when my honey would tell me she'd gone to get a "mani/pedi." Never had occurred to me that maybe she was doing it because of how damn good it felt. So just because I'm a man I should hang around eating cardboard and sleeping on the ground? No, of course not. And don't I go every few weeks and get one of those haircut things? I don't deny myself the innocent pleasures in life because I want to. It's just that I've been this stupid sexist caveman and blown off the coolness of pedal therapy (I'm trying some new language here to ease my men friends into this slowly). Super slow service for having max 3 customers inside. Minimal selection of dip powders, and when I did choose a color they were out of it. It took close to two hours for a dip powder change. At checkout I presented a coupon that I received in the mail late last week. I was told that coupon expired "two years ago" and she would not accept it. I explained that the coupon had no expiration date listed and that I had just recently received the coupon. Again I was told that it wouldn't be accepted and there was no manager present to overrule it. For the second time I explained that since there's no expiration date listed, it needed to be honored. I recently had a dip powder manicure done here - every one of my nails immediately started to bubble because the powder was applied too thick. I went back the following day to have it fixed...while they did agree to redo my nails, not a single person, including the owner who did my nails, apologized and in fact seemed extremely annoyed that I had even come back. Nonetheless, they re-did my manicure but within 24 hours it was peeling and chipping. Very frustrating given that it is supposed to last for 3 weeks and it had taken an additional 90 minutes to fix. I went back in a day later and showed the owner - again, no apology and he was very rude and short when I asked for my money back. They seem to have forgotten that this is a service industry. When your customer is unhappy you acknowledge the problem and inconvenience, apologize, and offer to make it right. Can you imagine having a bad meal at a restaurant and the owner treating you this way?? I will never spend my money here again and would advise you to do the same. read more

I am so upset about my visit to this salon. I went in two weeks ago for a gel mani. The gal while removing my gel polish, applied the cotton dipped polish remover while also filing the top of my nails to remove the polish. She ruined my nails! They are now paper thin and I am struggling to grow them out! They keep peeling on the ends and I have sensitivity on the nail beds as there is little protection from my nails as they are so thin now. This is a nightmare! This place did a great job on my sister and my nails, as well as really pampering our young daughters. They didn't try and up sell us on full pedis for the girls, and they were incredibly patient with my daughter when she kept wiggling and smearing her polish. I had a bad experience with this salon before but decided to give them another chance because I understand people have off days. I went in for a gel mani today. They didn't ask what I wanted before they started the service. They removed my pervious gel and then made me bleed pretty bad when cutting my cuticles. They asked me what I wanted and they said they couldn't do the design ( half moon-ish mani. Other salons have no problem doing this). So I told them it's okay, I'd rather just pay for the gel removal. They charged me for a full manicure. So I paid $15 plus $3 tip because it's the service industry and it's awful if you don't tip. So, $18 for gel removal and a bleeding finger. I never write bad reviews but I found this to be horrible customer service. read more

Pricing is pretty standard: $35 for a gel manicure, then a myriad of pedicure options to choose from, ranging from $35 upwards. 2) Open on Sundays: Yessir. One of my gel nails peeled off within a few days and I went back this past Sunday to fix. No fuss, no muss, they did it within 15 minutes, no charge. 3) Within walking distance: Uh-huh. Even on a cold day, I can bundle up and mosey on over a few blocks. It's not a difficult trek assuming the sidewalks have been cleared. Once Truffle Table opens back up after the holidays, I will be making this a regular ritual. read more
