Newcomers are greeted and given the typical routine - What service do you want? Pick out the polish. There might be a short wait to see a tech, but luckily in this neighborhood one could go grab a coffee and by the time they return, it's all good. Pricing is pretty standard: $35 for a gel manicure, then a myriad of pedicure options to choose from, ranging from $35 upwards. 2) Open on Sundays: Yessir. One of my gel nails peeled off within a few days and I went back this past Sunday to fix. No fuss, no muss, they did it within 15 minutes, no charge. 3) Within walking distance: Uh-huh. Even on a cold day, I can bundle up and mosey on over a few blocks. It's not a difficult trek assuming the sidewalks have been cleared. This place is definitely not going to be gaining my business in the future. I called and made an appointment 8 and 1/2 hours in advance. (You would think that in this time period, someone would write down that I had an appointment--they did not). Not only did I walk 20 minutes from my work to get to this place, I was immediately told that I did not have an appointment upon arrival. Whatever, shake it off. There were two manicurists available...this is where it starts getting interesting. Brace yourself. The two women starting ARGUING with each other for 10 minutes about who HAD to do my nails. Are you kidding me?! This isn't even the worst part. Upon my FINALLY being seated, the manicurist hucked her supplies onto the table and said, "Now what do you want?" Once again, Are you kidding me?! And finally, the grand finale to end this amazing experience, the lady proceeds to tell me that they do not offer the service that I SPECIFICALLY asked for when booking my appointment. This is the closest nail place to my house and it's actually a convenient stop on the walk home from work. Called to make an appointment earlier in the day and they were able to get me and a co-worker in for shellac manis before we left the next day for a business trip. Both manicurists were extremely thorough and took their time getting the shellac just right. And they have A TON of colors. I get totally bummed when I go somewhere and all the options are some shade of hooker red or bubblegum pink. Not the case here. Grays, Blues, Greens, etc. Love the mint color I chose. My only complaint is the price. A got $5-10+ more expensive for all their services. But the old adage is true, "You get what you pay for." :) I don't really mind paying more if the quality is always this good. read more

Total waste of money and time. I would not recommend getting French-style. Lack of attention to detail and precision. I have white polish all over my toes and the overall pedi looks sloppy and terrible. $48 and an hour of time down the drain! I could have done a better job myself. Three of us were meeting here for pedicures. When we arrived it was clean and the polishes were all in order by color which made it look very neat and it was easy to choose your color. The wait wasn't to long (we didn't have appts) and we got into our chairs. The chairs had great massagers... really some of the best pedi chairs I've sat in. Unfortunately, pretty doesn't equal quality. First off, there is no "regular" pedi. You must choose from one of the $35 hot stone or scrub options. I went the hot stone. My service began with them wrapping toilet paper around my toes instead of using the toe separators. I guess that's a good thrifty idea, but for a $35 pedi, I expect more. Then he proceeded with a good picking of the cuticles so I stuck my nose in a magazine and talked to the girls I was there with. As I was distracted, I didn't even realize that only my heels got a light scrubbing. There was zero work done on the calluses on my big toes which is where I needed it! . The hot stone treatment was about a minute of him rubbing a rock on my legs. I've never had a hot stone massage with a pedicure so maybe that is typical but I saw no value in it. The polish job was done impatiently and looks like I did it at home myself. As we left I just smiled thinking the other girls were happy. Finally one of the women said her lady was rude to her and we all agreed that the service was very poor. The one lady got the callus treatment, and she didn't get hers scrubbed either. I always go to Signature Nails and I love them. We only went here because it was closer to the pool party we were headed to. That will teach me! read more

There's nothing that makes a girl look more put together and polished than...well, a bit of polish. A friend and I visited Classy Nails a few days ago to get much needed manicures. Right away, we received a friendly greeting and an invitation to pick out polish and take a seat in the waiting area. We didn't have appointments so we had to wait for a nail tech to be free, but in less than 15 minutes they had both of us seated at one of the stations (not too shabby, considering it was a Friday afternoon). Because they were busy, the same tech worked on both of us, one after the other. She was quick and efficient and did a good job fixing up our rough cuticles, but what I was most impressed by was her attention to detail. I got a shellac manicure, and once the top coat had been applied, she went back several times to rub and check my nails to make sure that the color and edges were even and that everything was glassy smooth. Almost a week later, my nails still look amazing (which is saying something considering everything I did over the weekend). A few last things to note: they do seem to strongly prefer cash (but then, what nail salon doesn't?), prices were reasonable, and the place seemed quite clean (though I plan to bring my own buffer and nail file next time). Also, though we got in fairly quickly during the afternoon, I'd probably recommend an appointment if you're planning on going after work or during the weekend. read more

Great new nail salon in the Lohi area. I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. Huge collection of Opi colors to choose from, plus both Shellac and Gelcolor for manicures. Six pedicure chairs for large groups or bridal parties. Moderately expensive, but the leg and foot massage was lengthy well worth the extra cash. Would definitely recommend this place to friends. Also, we visited before my best friends wedding to get our nails done. They were more than accommodating. We stayed pretty late and they were very friendly. read more

This is my neighborhood nail salon and I continued to come here because it was convenient. While it is easy to get an appointment, Classy Nails does a TERRIBLE job with shellac and regular polish. The past 4 times I've had shellac done, the polish has easily peeled off within 5 days. When I came back to have them fixed, I had to pay $20. Once again, I don't really know why I continued to come back. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere. read more

Living in CT, DC, NC and now CO this was the best mani/pedi I have ever gotten! The staff spends so much time on every little detail and doesn't just breeze through the services. They spend extra time on foot/leg massages that go along with any pedicure. They really get after it and it's so nice especially since most people treat themselves to a pedicure to unwind, relax, get pampered and feel pretty. That's what this place is all about - their attention on you and only you. Their prices are very reasonable with the amazing services you get. They really go above and beyond and are very nice, too. I got a mani (shellac) and pedi and I would not recommend. My shellac came fully off within a week. Worth looking somewhere else.

The pros: 1) A regular manicure is $15 2) It has been 4 full days without a single chip (I haven't been super hard on my nails but still, very exciting) The cons: 1) Was not greeted when I came in... No one asked me what service I was in for, how long it would be, I just stood there waiting for someone to look up and finally had to interrupt someone's service to ask. 2) I was told it would be 20 min (okay since I was a walk-in) but it ended up being 50 min without anyone ever coming back to say there would be further delay 3) A woman who came in 25 minutes after me was serviced first 4) They have a rewards card but do not openly offer to stamp your card. I waited 5 min to be helped at the counter for my stamp but no one bothered to help so I gave up as I assumed I wouldn't be back anyway 5) AND THE MOST IMPORTANT: NOT SANITARY. There was no sterilization process for the tools. Gross. I can deal with everything else and would have been back but I can absolutely not get passed this. read more

This message is primarily directed to the ownership...here's some feedback on how you can improve for your clientele: Centrally located in LoHi, your customers are on the higher end and expect great nails and customer service. You're priced way too high at $70 + tip for my usual gel mani and regular pedi. Also, I don't have 2 hours for my nail services! This takes way too long for a mani/pedi. If you can't get it done faster then you should offer lower cost express services where you can do both hands and feet in less than an hour like in other large cities. Also, many of your chairs are old and broken and falling apart. The salon has been around long enough where it shows a lot of wear and tear. It need to be re-painted and the decor upgraded to accommodate your clientele. And why are you playing a radio station with commercials from an old boom box when you can install a decent speaker system and subscribe to XM/Sirius? My gel manicure inevitably chips and peels within the first five days but when I go to other salons it lasts two weeks, easily. I don't think you are investing in new UV lights and the right tools and polishes. Every time I choose a polish, the technician is scraping the last drops from the bottle and it compromises the quality of my manicure or pedicure. Also who uses punch cards anymore for their loyalty program? Please go digital so customers don't need to find their little paper card! All these things add up, and as a longtime customer I'm fed up with the inadequate caliber of service you offer, and I get mad every time I pay your inflated prices for low quality. If you invest in your business and keep up with the expectations of your local clients I would bet that your business would grow. Right now it's showing a serious lack of pride in your small business ownership. Oh and one other thing - why does a men's manicure cost as much as a women's manicure with full polish?? read more

I live in the neighborhood, and have always said it only needs a nail salon and a convenience store to be perfect. It's half way there now! I stopped in on a whim and has a mani-pedi by a nice woman named Ono. First, the decor is great. It's nicer than the run of the mill standard French manicure touching a rose postered place. It's nice to be pampered in a space that feels upscale with a reasonable price. I was there for longer than expected, but the result... wow. I came in with ragged cuticles, calluses, the works. I bet I was a manicurist's nightmare. Their color selection was extensive mostly OPI. Ono was like an artist, a cuticle surgeon, a... I don't know what to call her. But she was darn good at what she does. She spent 90 minutes gently scraping away at my nasty feet, meticulously trimming my cuticles, making sure the color was even and perfect. The pedi even included a hot stone massage! My hands and feet look gorgeous, and as long as the color lasts a few days, I will be back for sure! read more
