This place is no frills, just straight great quality service. She is sooo detailed on how she cleaned my toes and callus removal, and massage. Then came the nail filing, at first thought I had to cut my nails down bc it looked a bit long to me (I don't like to keep long nails bc I tend to scratch my face), but she filed it down and it looks perfect!! This review is for Denver residents and downtown visitors. If you are particular about your nails, this is the place to go. After one visit, I can honestly say that if I lived in the Denver area, I would have a standing monthly appointment with Lynn. I was supposed to get my mani-pedi at my home salon the day before our trip to Denver, but I was feeling too poorly to go anywhere. I started researching nail salons near our hotel to make an appointment for after we arrived. Cosmopolitan had great reviews, was closest to our hotel, and when I saw they accepted walk-ins, I decided to call after we checked in, since I had the flexibility to go the same day as arrival or the day after. After the airline delayed our flight by 2.5 hours, I likely would have missed any appointment I had scheduled. When I called, Lynn had an opening within 45 minutes. I actually got there within 30 minutes, and she took me immediately. I will confess, I have been to salons that were more luxurious and offered more frills. I can now see those salon owners added bells and whistles to distract you from the fact that their providers aren't as talented, dedicated, or conscientious as Lynn. She made me very comfortable in the massage chair. She asked if I preferred the water warm or hot. No one has ever asked my preference on water temperature before! I always adjust to the provider's comfort level of the water temperature, which is frankly never hot enough for me. I'm talking well over 30 years of having my mani-pedis done in salons from Manhattan to Princeville, Kauai. Lynn gave me hot water. She completely removed my dip fills and tips. She gave me the most meticulous pedicure I have ever enjoyed. Then she applied a full set of new tips and gave me the most stupendous manicure ever. She worked on my cuticles for well over 20 minutes. She clipped but never nicked my cuticles once. That was a first for me, too. She shaped my nails exactly like I prefer. I can't tell you how many providers have rounded the corners of squared nails instead of giving me the rounded shape I prefer on my stubby fingers. She also did my pinkies straight-on rather than slightly angled (as that is easier for the provider). My nails looked spectacular before any polish. I could have left then and been happy with them for two weeks. Lynn asked my opinion and preference on each aspect of the polish (I got a French manicure). At one point, I thanked her for doing the pedicure and then taking me to the manicure station because I hate it when salons do both at the same time, which my home salon normally does. Lynn chided me for not making my preference known when that happens. When the work was complete, she asked me if there was anything she could do to make me happier with my nails. They looked stunningly beautiful, so I declined. If I had been displeased with anything, even though her next client was waiting, I could have asked to reshape or repolish a nail, and she would have done it. If you take pride in your nails, if you work on your feet and they need babying, if attention to detail and outstanding artistry is important to you, you need to come to Cosmopolitan Nails, and especially to see Lynn. read more

While in town on my husband business trip I desperately needed my nails done. I chose this place because of the name ( I Cosmo's ). When I arrived it was completely empty. There was only one lady working. She was able to start my nails asap & had me out of there quickly. Unfortunately, my French tip started to chip the day after! I went back a day or so later and she was so apologetic and nice. I waited until she could take me & she fixed it with no problem. We brainstormed and assumed her polish was old. In town for a conservation fundraiser. My friend and I have extra time and we were already downtown. Spur of the moment we decided to get pedicures. There was only one person working and she already had a client. Even the client chimed in and said, this will be worth your weight. We seated immediately in the pedicure chairs, with warm water and massages. It did take a while. Because there was only one person working, she had to do the pedicures individually. It was worth the weight though. Both the gel and the regular pedicure came out beautifully. I very much enjoyed the massage, and the conversation. I left feeling like I had made a new friend... and more pretty than I was when I walked in. That's an awesome combination. read more

I just had the worst experience getting a dip manicure. I would not get a dip here. Regular or gel is probably ok. UPDATE: By the next day-- the dip started chipping and coming up. this is the best nail salon I've ever been to. Unlike most salons, which take very little trim, your cuticles, this salon takes the time to do a quality manicure and pedicure. They also do good long massages when you have a pedicure.. I'm 65 and have been to countless salons, and this is the only one I will go to now . highly recommended. Highly recommend this hidden gem! The lady who did my nails (the shop owner's sister) is super nice and I could tell that she really cares about her work and her customers. I have long natural nails and it's really important for me to preserve them with either acrylic or hard gel, and I also love unique designs. The only salon I could find in downtown Denver that does Acrylic nails I saw the bad reviews but decided to take the chance as I am from out of town and needed a pedicure and removal of a bad gel job for a full set of acrylics. I had time and wasn't in a hurry. It was a short walk from my hotel and a sunny day so when I arrived the place was empty and looked like it had seen it's better days.
