This was one of the worst nail salon experiences. They are ridiculously overpriced. This is not even a nice nail salon and a regular manicure/pedicure was $70! I almost died! $70! They did a terrible job on my nails. They did not even cut my cuticles! She spent almost an hour giving me a manicure and she only was able to push my cuticles down and barely cut them at the bottom. I asked multiple times for her to cut the side cuticles and hang nails. This is more than price gauging. Paying $30 for a regular manicure is borderline criminal. I normally don't even pay that much for an acrylic fill in! The pedicure was $40 and I barely even got a massage. I will absolutely never step foot inside this nail salon ever again and you should keep searching for a new nail salon. read more

I don't get pedicures often, so when I do I appreciate a thorough job. Kim was meticulous in her work and I never felt rushed. I run a lot, and it shows on my feet. Knowing that was important to me, Kim spent a lot of time removing callouses. The massage was great too.  This is a no-frills shop, but they do a great job. $40 was well worth the attention to detail!  They also have a great selection of CND shellac and vinylux polishes. Very sad and disappointed. I did not want to go down this route but I think it is necessary to do this after sleeping on this. As I am heading out for my trip and I wanted to get my nails done. (I don't get my nails done often so it was a huge splurge for me) Seeing photos and majority of great reviews so I have determined to go. I got pedicure and acrylic nails done. Pedicure was okay. 5 minutes total of massage. Although they did give great attention on heels and cuticles. Although the acrylic set I have received is just horrible! Looks like 15 years old learning how to do the set. I believe the owner did my nails unfortunately. I will post the inspiration pic and some nails are longer than others. Some has semi coffin shape. They are not smoothed over you can see some bumps/creases. Not smooth around my cuticles. Most definitely not happy. Stressing out trying to find another place to fix this error. A mistake going here. Here is my response to owners message. Kimberly. This was photos taken the next day! Not a week old! I have time stamp of my transaction and the pictures. Don't lie about that. I went to other place and they were able to fix and it was beautifully done! Although that is more money out of my pocket. Don't use my deafness as a excuse. Hollywood Nails always does an amazing job, and they have been my go-to nail salon for over a year now; however, I called to schedule a time to have my dip taken off, and I was not so kindly told they were fully booked. A friend called right after to get an appointment for a manicure, and they suddenly had a few openings. If a customer gets their nails done at this salon, I think it's unprofessional and poor customer service to deny them the service of having it removed solely because they're making less money. The service was great and both my mani & pedi are still in perfect condition. I have been traveling/socializing/working like crazy over the last week and not a single chip. Hollywood Nails was walking distance from my friend's apartment and they were able to take me in the same day. They were pretty booked otherwise, so I'd call first. Kim has been making my nails beautiful for 6 years now, and I won't let anyone else at any other place touch my fingers or toes. I feel like family wth Kim and Tony, and am very blessed to have found them. Kim's attention to detail and artistry really shows. I have been getting CND Shellac on my hands/feet since I first found Hollywood Nails. A year ago, I started to get a thin layer of acrylic under my shellac, and haven't looked back. It lasts me for 3 weeks, and my job is really hard on my hands, wearing gloves all day. The location is great too. Coffee next door, and yoga across the street, in case there is a wait. One thing I *really* liked was how she soaked my nails and used a professional cuticle remover a few times instead of chopping them up too much. I love Hollywood Nails! This is the only place I will go to get my nails done in Denver now. Kim & Tony are so sweet & welcoming. Kim always does such a wonderful job (I get shellac mani/pedi). She is incredibly meticulous and no cuticle gets left behind. On top of her precision, she has taught me a lot about how to take care of my nails and strengthen them. Other nail salons didn't care about that and weakened my nails. She's told me all about the history of shellac/gel nails, how to do them properly and remove them properly. Typically when I get them done they stay on my fingers for 2 weeks and feet for at least a month. My manicure was SO expensive ($50!) and below par. The lady who did my nails was new and I could tell she was really trying but it just didn't come out right. The paint was blotchy and messy.. I have been getting my nails done for 35 years on and off and I can honestly say Kim's talent far surpasses anyone one else I have encountered. She is obviously a perfectionist and honors her craft with abilities. A true artist. The care and attention to detail she has is amazing to watch. She uses techniques I have never seen anyone else use. This comes from years of experience and pride in her product. My nails are beautiful, natural length, natural shape and very cool chrome finish, which by the way is hard to do. In the past with chrome I have had many bumps, with Kim, she takes the time to remove any debris, to ensure a smooth finish. Her words not mine. I didn't have to direct anything, she is brilliant and honest. Previously there were gaps on the sides or by the cuticle where polish wasn't applied but Kim makes sure to cover the entire nail. Tony removed my old shellac with the utmost care, the most gentle removal to date. They actually care about the condition of your nails and take care and use additional conditioners to help build up strength. They are amazing at their profession and some of the nicest people I have met at a business. They are warm and inviting and have set high standards for themselves. My nails look perfect, and Kim takes the time and care to make everything look great. She has obviously been doing this a long time. OMG their prices! $33 for a basic pedicure - no air conditioning, door wide open, noisy, no music or ambiance, and they were under major construction and basically did not have floors. I came for a pedicure and received quick and good service however when getting the dead skin off my heal and ankle it hurt a little. I was also surprised with the price for a regular pedicure as $41 seemed High. Unfortunately yesterday only a few days after my pedicure I have a crack in my heel that is extremely painful and must come from a bit too much shaving of the heel. Hands down the best nail salon I've ever been to. I just am a simple girl, who just wants white tip acrylics. Nothing fancy No Frills. I walked in without an appointment and immediately got seated. The two people working were both incredibly nice and welcoming. They did really good work in a very time efficient manner. My nails were pretty jacked up, but they got them fixed and looking great in 30 minutes. Even though it's 40 minutes from my house, I wouldn't hesitate to make the drive any time I need service. Polish was left on my skin and missing near the border of my nails, and just not much attention to detail. I cannot even fathom what it meant to do nails on Colfax almost 30 years ago. But her quiet tenacity and commitment to excellence is evident. I even learned several things about nail care and left with a small bottle of oil that smells like cotton candy and is sure to help my brittle nails heal (all for the totally reasonable price of $4). This place is more than meets the eye. Upon first glance I probably wouldn't have stayed but I'm so glad that I did. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable. The woman who did my nails actually took her time with me rather than rushing me in and out. The quality and craftsmanship of her work is unrivaled. I have long natural nails so it's hard to find people who can handle them delicately, but she did a brilliant job. This woman knows her stuff! The couple that owns the shop are extremely kind and personable. I learned how long they have been in the neighborhood, which is always a pleasant feature in our everchanging city! Kim does an amazing job, takes her time, and offers suggestions. Would definitely recommend.
