Cindy's Nails is always clean and the staff is friendly. I've never had a long wait. You don't have to call ahead, but I recommend it. They have one of largest selection of gel colors I've ever seen at the salon. The pricing is fair ($30 for a gel mani) and their pedicures are affordable and last well. I've had several different technicians and I've always had a good experience. They put a lot of time and attention into shaping the nails and trimming your cuticles. This is another nail place I go to that is in my neighborhood and offers a relatively inexpensive ($12 for the basic) manicure. They tend to last about a week, which is kind of what I expect from a manicure based on how rough I am with my nails and especially considering the price point. The ladies that work here are always very nice, but most of them don't speak excellent English as a heads up. I've also had a pedicure that lasted like 3 weeks or so, which seems to be pretty long. It's a fairly small place, but I've never had to wait for a manicure or pedicure when stopping in. Their online booking is really easy and if you call, they have a waitlist that seems to move pretty quickly. Cindy's nails can't be beat with the location and the price. There is always street parking available. I always get an amazing pedicare and Shelac french manicure for 50 bucks! If you tell me you get better prices somewhere else around downtown Denver, I won't believe you. My Shelac manicure always lasts at least 10 days, sometimes more. Don't walk in expecting spa quality decor because you aren't paying near spa prices. I always call ahead because I can usually only go on Fridays or Saturdays. You cannot beat the value you get at Cindy's! She does an incredible job for so much less than most salons in the area. A few weeks ago I got my nails done at a different salon and was pleased, but it felt a little over priced (especially since the gel polish was chipping in less than a week.) It was time to rebase my nails and I didn't feel like spending a fortune. I found Cindy and I'm so glad I did! She did a better job and the price of a full set is much more reasonable at her salon. This place makes me feel like a princess. A broke ass princess. Still a princess, nevertheless. So I came in on a Tuesday afternoon, really quiet and there was only 2 other ladies there. One of the nail ladies promptly asked me to picked out a color for manicure. They do have a good selection of nail colors from several different brands, and I ended up picking a dark, sparkly purple from OPI. Anyway, since I haven't been to a nail salon for sooooooo long, my nails were worst than Grinch's and the nail lady worked really hard to make sure all the dead skins( is that what you call it?) from my cuticles. She was quick, skillful and gentle! My nails looked absolutely gorgeous and the whole process of soaking to painting took less than 30 minutes! I also got my brow waxed while my nails were drying and it looked bomb as well! Now, with that said, this isn't a place where you'd get a glass of cucumber water and chia snack bar upon arrival. It is right on Colfax and there aren't much "atmosphere" to it. But if you are a broke ass twentysomething (or just kinda broke in general) like me but still want to treat yourself, this is the place to be. My manicure+eyebrow wax only cost me $24 with tips. $24!!! you can't even get a manicure alone for that price if you go anywhere else. Great! 5:45 on the dot I walk in there's a couple ladies getting there nails done, couple getting pedicures and one waiting for a wax. I sat down and waited and never once was acknowledged, welcomed, or asked what I would like done. In fact I sat 45 mins and no one ever said a word to me. I eventually walked out when none of the technicians were done with the original client nor gave a shit that I was there. Incredibly rude!! What a neat little nail shop! I decided to switch up my pedicure routine and ventured into Cindy's. Great decision. As a walk-in, I was seated right away; no wait time. The young lady that did my pedicure (I'm so bad with names; I'm working on it) was fantastic. She was attentive, had great conversation, and clearly took pride in her work. Oh, and the massage chairs? Best I've experienced! My back got pampered while my feet were worked on. My toes look great and my feet feel good. I was a little skeptical, at first. I normally upgrade my pedicure and get a deluxe or spa treatment to combat dryness. I didn't see that option available at Cindy's, nor did I feel it was necessary. Awesome, quick basic pedicure at a great price. I would recommend making an appointment. While I didn't have one, I went in mid-day on a Thursday. I've been here twice now, and both times have been fantastic! The ladies here at Cindy's Nails are super nice, and I couldn't be happier with my pedicure. I get the gel polish pedicure and have left Cindy's Nails each time with my feet feeling soft and looking beautiful, which says a lot since my feet pre-pedicure are usually pretty gross and calloused from all my hiking, judo, and random sporty activities. And that gel polish lasts foooorever. I went for over a month between my two pedicures, and the gel did not have a single chip. AMAZING. Speaking of polish, I love that they have such a CRAZY selection of nail polish here. When you get there, your nail tech will hand you a big box full of different samples of all the various polish colors you can get. Do you want shiny? Sparkly? Matte? Neutral colored? Whatever you feel like, they'll likely have it. I usually sit there for a good 10 or so minutes, indecisively shuffling through all the different choices. PRO-TIP: If you're a noob like me, keep in mind that the color you see on the samples are lighter than how they'll end up on your nails since they put on several coats. Shout out to Trang for the AMAZING foot massages after she's done painting my nails. I didn't know I needed foot massages in my life, but now I'm definitely hooked! I normally book online (the confirmation texts are super helpful!) but I saw that they also accept walk-ins. When I booked my SNS online it stated $45 then when it got to confirm my appt the price said $50. Squeezing good customers for $5 doesn't seem worth it to me. Just state the correct price and if a customer questions it do not ignore them. Common courtesy and basic good business 101. Another customer walked in while I was getting my pedicure and Zoom ridiculed him for being 15 minutes late. This is a place we all come to relax not be stressed out by such an impossible appt scheduling policy. They do decent work, but the customer service blows.
