So let's talk about Taco Tuesdays. $1 per Taco for only the following flavor meat selections: - Chicken - Carnitas - Pastor The chicken is just okay. But the Al Pastor & Carnitas are SO good. Slow cooked to perfection. I only wish the Al Pastor had a bit more pineapple in into balance out that saltiness. I've had a margarita or two here during happy hour. Love this place! I actually prefer not to go on Taco Tuesday (because it gets a bit packed), but wow. I'm no expert in Mexican food, but man, their food is good! A good tip is to order ahead of time by phone and pick it up. Also, try the flan! It's not the cheap kind (the little circle one that's prepackaged). They don't always have it though, but when they do, I grab some for my husband. lol read more

Love the tacos here but I'm very annoyed with the operation of this place. Why post hours of operation when in fact you close whenever you feel like you've made enough money? I came in tonight to EAT IN and enjoy some margaritas and tacos. I was told I had to get my food to go at 8:10pm because they were closing at 8:30. But your door and website states 9pm. All of this aside why can't I get a margarita to go then? Going to find a new taco Tuesday spot that has consistency. read more

I've only had the "street" tacos here and they are delicious and quite authentic! Some say the tacos are small but that is actually normal size in Mexico for "street" tacos (in Mexico they just call them tacos), and the price is pretty reasonable. It should take about 4 for a decent meal but I usually end up getting 6 or more just because they are so good. I've tried the carne asada, pastor, carnitas, and chicken tacos and they are all very good, with carne asada being my fave. Each taco consists of your choice of meat on double corn tortillas, topped with fresh onions and cilantro. I like that they keep it simple like it should be. They have bottles of green and red salsa made in-house, and some delicious marinated/pickled carrots, for you to self-serve. I should note that they literally just increased their prices as of today (Tuesday 5/24/15). I went in for Taco Tuesday expecting to get them at $1 each, but they were increased to $1.25. Regular (non Taco Tuesday) prices went from $1.50 to $1.75 each (excluding seafood). Taco Tuesday applies to chicken, pastor and carnitas but not carne asada nor seafood items. read more

Hola and happy Taco Tuesday! I was looking for a different taco joint and stumbled upon the small but awesome Los Taquitos. Yes, it is Taco Tuesday and the place is hopping, but the cashiers were quick, efficient and friendly. Next time I'll make sure to call in my order! Ever on the hunt for a good al pastor, I ordered a trio of the taco specials - pollo, pastor and carne asada. Each came with a lovely sauce, onion and cilantro (of course) on some nicely cooked corn tortillas. The pastor rocked - leaning toward the savory side with just that bit of sweet to offset the heat. Lovely flavor. All of the meats are flavorful and tender - the sauces have some kick! (I think I'm sporting a "sweat moustache" as I type.) I also ordered chips and salsa for that nice crunch - just a very slight disappointment here. The pico de gallo is on point - fresh, spicy and flavorful. The chips were moderately thin and very crisp - too crisp today. They were unfortunately overdone (and I'm not that chip-picky!). All in all - HIGHLY RECOMMEND (but do yourself a favor and call in your order. You'll get in and out quicker.) read more

I've been coming to this location for a long time. The latest remodel is beautiful and the addition of the bar and expanded dining area turned the place into a nice eatery and is no longer the dive from the Guy Fieri days. I judge my food by how good the basics are. With Mexican food, it's beans and rice. At Los Taquitos, the beans and rice are always excellent. They have their recipe nailed down. This visit though I stuck to the tacos since it was Taco Tuesday. Two fish and two asada all on warm corn tortillas and I was happily full. Paired with the Pomegranate Margarita, it was the perfect meal, all for under $15. read more

I arrived at Los Taquitos at 12:02pm and the place had about 12 people sitting at the tables eating and a couple ordering at the register. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and a cheese quesadilla. Simple right? Wondering why it took them 30 mins to make my food. My number was finally called at 12:31pm. I could get faster service at a sitdown restaurant. The chorizo burrito was OK. I give it three out of five stars. It didn't have to much flavor to it. I did enjoy the quesadilla. The cheese was really good and they served it crispy. I would recommend this place to others maybe try something else on the menu. You can get a better chorizo burrito down the street. read more

Just had the 3 street taco meal. That was great! They were quite busy when I arrived and it was standing room only so I ordered to go. By the time my order was ready the place was only 1/3 full....bad timing on my part, friday@12:30. I got one pollo, one carnitas and one pastor. They were all great. The meal also comes with rice and beans. Im full for $7. There are 7 tables and some outdoor seating so its a small place. One wall is adorned with some cool murals. Five stars because it just can't be improved on. Simple menu & legit authentic Mexican food. Breakfast burrito: yes please. Carne asada street tacos: yes please. Pozole: yeeees. Even the kids loved their quesadillas with chicken (which most places can't get right even though it's so simple). My personal favorite thing though: the salsa. Yes yes yes! Got to the restaurant at 11:09am and we were then only 2 people there. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos and the lady that took our order was very nice and confirmed the order to make sure it was correct. 20 minutes later we got our order but the order was wrong. So we told another lady at the front desk that our order was wrong and it was actually 2 burritos not 1 burrito and a quesadilla. She acted like it was our fault and asked for a receipt. We didn't take a receipt because the lady before confirmed our order. So she looked at the receipt they kept at their front desk and showed us that the receipt showed 1 burrito and 1 quesadilla and continued to act like we ordered wrong. So after telling her 2 different times that we ordered 2 burritos she finally told the chefs to make another burrito. At 11:50 we finally got the second burrito but they didn't bother to remake 2 burritos even though the first one is now cold. I love the food here however your customer service is pathetic and at no time did anyone apologize for getting our order wrong. This location has officially lost 2 regularly returning customers. read more

I had actually consciously avoided this place for a while. It just seemed too mainstream and "polished" to have food at a level I expect.... but after a couple coworkers told me about it, I gave it a shot and was very pleasantly surprised. I eat here pretty regularly now. The Menudo is delicious but if you get it too early in the day it is a bit chewy. The refried been a seem runny and bland looking at first but are absolutely packed with flavor... a creamy savory taste that pairs really well with their foods. I was craving taco and this was pretty close to my new living location. I've dine-in for lunch for my very first time at his location and my nacho supreme was stale, so I had asked to remake it because I wanted my money to be worth it. They remake my order, it's way better this time. Although they do put a lot of beans, it looked very appetizing but not enough cheese...most of it, it's on the top! I like their beef enchilada with green sauce. The beef is not shredded, it's a good cube size of beef and it's seasoned well...tasty! This place can use a renovation of some sort. Dining area has dirty tables and sitting. Customer service can be more friendly. They take your order in a rushed manner even if they are not busy. I sat and eat quickly as I can't really enjoy it due to the crowded space in this establishment and energy flow. I recommend the other location better, which is located in West Ray Rd. in Chandler. This will be my first and last visit in this restaurant. read more

Another quick lunch visit to one of my favorite taco places in the valley. I haven't reviewed this place in more than 5 years so ... Expanded seating area, friendly service, and still really great food. I was craving fish tacos and ordered a trio that did not disappoint. Not your overbattered fish taco here - nope. Pozole is so good and that dish alone is worth the visit! Pollo asado and carne asada bowls are amazing, street tacos are as well. So many good things here and so glad they are now within blocks of my home. Both the Ahwatukee and Chandler locations are great and staff is always very friendly. We have been coming here for years--- we love it. The service is always good, the tacos are amazing and the new look is fun! This is our usual order: tacos-- adobada, lengua, carnitas, two agua de horchatas (definitely the best!) and a flan. Don't leave without trying the carnitas! The rice and beans with the meal are pretty yummy too. My only complaint is that they often run out of flan and agua de horchata... But I call before making the trip. read more
