This place is a hidden gem, the food was amazing and the portion size was good. Service was excellent, location is clean and not crowded.

I have menudo mania, and they offer it on Monday, so I was instantly sold. It is $10, huge, and delicious. It comes with a tortilla, half a lemon, and some onion garnish. I wish it was less oily, but despite this, I still found it to be so comforting. It really tastes like authentic homemade cooking made by my nonexistent Mexican grandmother. The place is counter-service, with lots of booths inside and outside if you want to dine in after ordering. Cute Mexican decor, too. Definitely recommend if you want local, genuine Mexican food at an inexpensive, no-frills place.

Del Yaqui is a perfect family restaurant set in the city of Guadalupe inside the Yaqui reservation. Great food, genuinely kind people, in a nice, clean, sit-down family setting. All this at a reasonable price. And, they are open later than most other Mexican restaurants on Sunday evening. Recently, a friend told me of his experience at Del Yaqui, so I went on his recommendation. I was not disappointed. I ordered the chile verde plate, which came with rice and beans and two tortillas. The pork was perfectly tender, the green sauce was delicious, and the dinner was served hot. My friend ordered a meal with two tacos and the rice and beans as well. Finally, we also split a full bowl of the Caldo de Pollo (chicken soup), which came with its own tortillas as well. The soup was phenomenal. I absolutely love good soup, and this was a joy to eat. All the food came in good portions as well. The staff was very kind and explained the entrées, as well as making sure to accurately take our orders. Even though this is a counter-order restaurant, they still served the food to the table and graciously helped us when we had requests. The prices likewise were reasonable. Most meals were right at $11 each. If you are near the town of Guadalupe, do yourself a favor and try this little gem, Del Yaqui! You won't be disappointed!

Post Quarantine Review 7.3.21 The best breakfast burrito in town! Del Yaqui is very near and dear to my heart. It's one of the local, hole in the wall gems that aren't typically found anymore. The owner or head chef can be found working everyday typically in the early AM hours. I love the tortilla here! And the Huevos Rancheros. This was a typical breakfast spot of mine, as it was nearby the office. We came here for 3-4 days ina. Row, took a break for a few months; and ended up coming back here for six days in a row. It's that good! Support Local AZ! I recommend Del Yaqui Plate! Thank you Señor Beto + The Crew! Try the delicious fresh Agua Fresca, the carne asada, or an authentic bottled Mexican Coke. There's also an awesome Jukebox and 2 crane game machines :)

I was in Phoenix last week while my parents were in town. My mom and I were exploring the area and she wanted some fresh Mexican food and this place popped up in my yelp search. I had a little trouble finding it because the entrance is not on the street - it's inside a little plaza. I ordered the sopes with carnitas and my mom had the enchiladas and a tamal. You know a place is legit when there's a bottle of Tapatio on every table - I was happy with that. But when she brought our food out, she brought out a bottle of homemade salsa that was even better. I poured it all over my sopes. The sopes were good - thick and crispy on the outside. The carnitas were flavorful if a bit on the dry side but still a bit greasy. My mom liked her enchiladas and tamal. Prices were super reasonable and the people working there were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back if I lived in the area.

Lovely place ! It's located inside a court with other shops and would've been lovely to sit inside as well (: I was greeted with a smile from the beautiful woman who made my meal. The food was amazing and stayed warm my whole drive home. There was so much meat!! Amazing value! I ordered two pozoles to celebrate my grandfathers birthday. He unfortunately passed last year and this place was a perfect way to remember him and celebrate him. I know he would have loved it!! I will for sure be back very soon to try other dishes!

A city rarity! This restaurants serves menudo every day, not just on the weekend!

If you're feeling nostalgic and miss your abuelita's homemade food, this is a good place to visit. Everything from the menu, to the decor, to the bilingual staff will remind you of home. In fact, nothing screams 'Mexican childhood' as much as several older women calling you "mi niña" and "mi reina" as you're ordering your food, and those same women asking if you don't like their food when they notice your bowl is still half-full after half an hour. I had the red menudo and my sister had the birria. Both were good, but we didn't like that they left the bones in. I also wish they would have cut the meat in my soup in smaller chunks when preparing it. I found it a bit annoying having to spend a few minutes trying to cut those pieces with a spoon while my soup got cold. In summary: the food is good (although not the best authentic Mexican I've had) and the whole experience will remind you of home. They also get bonus points for offering menudo every day of the week instead of just weekends!

He was incredibly kind and attentive, especially with my friend who is deaf, making sure we always had water, napkins, and plenty of chips. The margarita flight is always a must for me, so I had to order one for my friend since it was her first visit. I told her that even though neither of us are into spicy margaritas, I knew she'd love it and I was right! Every margarita was delicious. I also ordered the lavender lemonade, which was refreshing and just as good. Ghost Ranch never seems to miss when it comes to drinks. Potato tacos! Another must have My friend ordered the Aztec Cake and insisted I'd regret not getting it. She was absolutely right. It was bomb and Torrance offered us a side of chips .TY. I ordered the short rib. It was flavorful, tender, and filling, with lots of garlic and savory flavor. I'm not sure if short rib is just not my thing, but it didn't wow me the way the Aztec Cake did. I warmed it up later and it was delicious a second time so no complaints. Excellent service, delicious drinks, and a fun way to spend the Fourth. We'll definitely be back!

Been waiting to check this place out for Happy Hour and finally got around to it with friends. Happy Hour is daily with $3 off all appetizers (not just selected as the menu says) in addition to drink specials. We ordered a few apps to share and had: - Chips with Guacamole and Salsa: solid - Queso Fundido: I was excited for this as friends have said they liked it, but the cheese harden within minutes and it wasn't as nice - Street Style Esquites: I was expecting more corn rather than mixed in another cheese dip and likewise, the cheese harden quickly. - Shrimp cocktail: it was pretty heavy on the liquid rather than thicken, but good - 3 potato tacos: okay, wasn't expected it to be fried so it was a bit greasy but loved the slaw it came with - Southwest egg roll: not bad, was a crowd's favorite and I liked the sauce it came with We didn't realize most of the apps came with tortilla chips otherwise we may have ordered differently. I got the frozen margarita and it was a bit sweet, but nice for the summer evening. Our server wasn't super attentive, but was nice whenever they came around. There's a sampler entree platter I'd like to try, but of all the appetizers we tried, the best was probably the chips with guacamole and salsa.

Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.
