"ABSOLUTAMENTE DELICIOSO!" Customer service was amazing. The restaurant is clean. Great music, great vibes. The food is made fresh to order. You can taste the quality. They give you fresh grilled onions and jalapeños. The sauces are bomb. The margaritas look really good too! Prices are really good for the portion I would definitely be back here, and I'm gonna definitely recommend it to all my friends and family. !! Thank you for the great service! Gracias amigos!

The food was Amazingly delicious! The Service with all the staff was awesome! Everyone was Welcoming, Attentive and very Positive. The Ambiance was uplifting, inviting, clean tables and flooring, good music and volume and restroom was very clean. All around I give 5 Stars. I will share with family and friends to eat here as a number one choice. Great job guys!

The agua frescas here were really yummy. Little sweet but not overly sweet and very refreshing. We tried the papaya and mango and they were both really good. The Rey Torta sandwich was delicious too. It was juicy and full of flavor. The fries were thick cut and perfect complement to the sandwich. The service was excellent and efficient. Highly recommend.

Tasty!! First and foremost, staff is so friendly. It's a surprisingly large restaurant, and as we made our way to our table, anyone we passed who wasn't tending to other customers said hello. Started off with complimentary chips and salsa before we ordered the following items between two people: Strawberry agua fresca Mango agua fresca Le Reyna torta (full sized) Milanesa de res torta Super Coctel Agua Frescas were made with real fruit, refreshing, but nothing too crazy. I opted for the La Reyna torta, which was MASSIVE, and my friend ordered the milanesa de res. Tortas come with potato chips, and fries are extra $2 - in the future, will go with the included chips. They make their bread in-house, and it was indeed very tasty and fresh. La Reyna has every meat imaginable on there (pork, chicken, beef), along with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. We also split the Super Coctel, which is a delicious shrimp cocktail - I'd never heard of this, but my friend insisted we get it so I could try. Think a delicious ketchup-y based bath for shrimp, along with cubed avocado and cucumbers. It comes with Mexican saltine crackers, which you can put the shrimp/cucmber/avocado atop, or you can eat the shrimp, and eat a dipped cracker - there are really no rules. Once I was out of saltines, I started using chips because this was so tasty, even sipping on the broth between bites. The avocados and cucumbers added a brightness to the meal, along with the optional lime squeeze. There was also a plethora of shrimp in the cup it's served in. I ended up leaving with over half a torta, and a very full belly. On our way out, everyone said bye, which really made a positive and lasting impression on the visit. Great value for the amount of food you get, and such friendly staff!

The very first thing I noticed when I walked in was the smell. Oh my! It smells soooooo good! Kind of like when you walk into your aunt's house and they are cooking. I was craving some tortas and found this place. Let me tell you, it is awesome! I had the Reyna , and I posted a picture of it sliced in half so you can see the wonders. It's got some milanesa (steak) , ham, chicken, and avocado. It originally comes with potato chips, but I asked for fries instead. The other torta is the Norteña which I only had a bite of was also very good. We also had an appetizer queso fundido with chorizo. I was so happy when it arrived at my table that I just dug right in. So my picture is the last bite of it, however, you get the idea. It was really good. They don't go skimpy on the chorizo. Last but not least, the service was amazing. From the moment we walked in to the very end. Very nice and terribly efficient. They were super fast at getting our food to the table. Will most definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

Got takeout on Saturday and it was quite busy for lunch! Lots of families and lots of seating. Ordered the norteña mini torta and peluche plate so I could have multiple meals for the weekend. The mini torta was the perfect size for one meal but if you have a big appetite the regular size will probably be good. The melted cheese was amazing and the bread was nice anf soft but that made it fall apart pretty easily. The peluche plate was also quite large. Lots of meat. Wish the side of rice and beans were a little bigger as I enjoyed those too. Overall would return to try other items.

Quesadilla de Maiz (steak de encebollados, el Rey style)

Been coming here for a long while. I first came by this place about 15 years ago before moving to the valley thanks to Guy Fieri. My husband wanted to try the ridiculous tortas (layers upon layers of meat). I have found myself obsessed with the Quesadilla de Maiz (encebellado, del Rey style) and it'll never get old. I've always preferred corn to flour and never knew until I found Los Reyes that they make corn quesadillas!!!!! And they make it from fresh masa. And they are mouth watering. Their steak is great, tender and flavorful. I'm so lucky to live by one location and work by another.

Great tortas here! I loved the chips and salsa. The salsa is very fresh and the chips are served warm. You can also upgrade from chips to fries for $2 - which my husband did. My husband ordered the Del Rey and I ordered the Norteña. Both were really good and affordable. I would have liked the bread to be slightly firmer though.

Portions here are huge! The tortas bread is fluffy and I'm sure the other plates on their expansive menu are just as good. I had the green sauce enchiladas and that was very flavorful. The aguas frescas here are super refreshing!

Our group of 8 ended up here when another Tempe restaurant had a kitchen emergency and cancelled our reso an hour before dinner. Alter Ego was able to accommodate us, and we were glad they did. If you enter from the street side you'd never know you're in a hotel restaurant. It's got an upscale, classy vibe not usually seen in hotel dining. The waiter and bartender were attentive and knowledgeable. The menu wasn't huge but it was a great variety of options. Table had some salads, flatbreads, burgers and a round of butter cake desserts. Each was really, really good. Way more sophisticated plates than expected. Also had a bunch of craft cocktails, unique and well made. Sometimes the best experiences are unplanned. But you SHOULD plan to give this place a try.

I got the bang bang shrimp and it was good (6/10). The problem that I have is the pistachio gin fizz was an absolute no! I am a HUGE fan of pistachio and gin so immediately I had to get his drink but it was beyond mediocre. Are we drinking only syrup??? My last complaint is the coconut tres leches dessert.... Do we actually know how to make tres leches or we just naming desserts however we want? Just curious. It came out super hot, steaming more like a molten cake. As a Hispanic woman, I was expecting a creamy moist cake to celebrate my graduation but this was not it as well. Last but not least if the bald manager with the orange shirt wants to eat in the back of the kitchen, not the problem I get it (I work at restaurants) HOWEVER shoving your two index fingers into your mouth to get your debris out was my last straw. Like I said I like this restaurant and never had problems but today felt like a fever dream there.

While the ambience is fairly simple, the overall experience is a positive one, especially once the food arrives. I ordered the lox and bagel and was impressed by how substantial the portion was. The lox was generously layered, with a large amount of arugula on top. The arugula appeared to be lightly dressed with olive oil, which added great flavor. While it did not fully align with my personal dietary preferences, it was well executed, and I would be happy to return to see if it can be adjusted. The dirty chai was another highlight in terms of flavor. It was well spiced and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Although it was described as very hot when delivered, it arrived closer to lukewarm, but the taste itself was enjoyable. Service was efficient and attentive. The check was dropped off relatively early, which initially felt a bit quick, but our server continued to check in on us throughout the meal, creating a balanced and courteous experience. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent, and everything we ordered was well prepared. Parking in the area can be challenging, though the nearby parking structure behind Pedalhaus makes it more manageable. Overall, this is a reliable brunch option with strong portions, thoughtful flavors, and enough positives to make it a place I would gladly return to.

It was absolutely delicious and the best part of the dining experience. The BLTA (Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avacado) sandwich was way too heavy on the lettuce and the bread was quite hard, making it difficult to eat. It was moreso a handheld salad. Service was okay, though not especially attentive, as our water wasn't refilled. At the host stand there was some confusion when we arrived. She didnt realize we were standing there and then when my boyfriend asked a question about a menu item she didnt respond. Not sure if she was just not paying attention, the music was too loud, or didnt want to converse with us. Sort of awkward. The mimosas were honestly one of my favorite parts because they had so many different fresh juice flavors to choose from instead of just the typical orange juice. It made the experience feel way more fun and customizable, and you could actually taste how fresh the juices were. Every mimosa we tried was refreshing and super easy to drink. We were welcomed with a friendly smile. We explained that the other half of our party was on their way & the host promptly prepared our table... mostly. There were small plates set for each of us, but only one roll-up/napkin (for 4) & no drink menu. Minor details, but it kinda set the tone for the service experience. Now listen... the spot itself is cute. Once we actually got service, our waiter was cool. It just took forevvverrrrr & I ended up having to request cutlery after food was served. To be fair, it was busy, but there also seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect was. Food-wise: the spinach artichoke dip was definitely the table favorite. My caprese panini was ok, it was sadly lacking pesto which feels a little criminal for a caprese situation. Our friends loved the fancy French toast & I was absolutely there for the prickly pear mimosas The entire brunch honestly felt like it was one dropped plate away from becoming a sitcom episode. One poor new waiter dropped a plate on the floor, then later knocked glasses off the rack above the bar & shattered a couple right next to guests sitting there. I genuinely felt bad for him because you could tell he was having a rough shift. That said, I really appreciated that they acknowledged the long wait & gave us a discount without us having to ask. That kind of accountability goes a long way. Overall, I'd still go back & give them another try because the atmosphere was fun, the vibe was there, and I can see the potential. Every restaurant has an off day -- especially during a busy brunch rush.

They serve salads, bowls, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, protein shakes, fresh juices, and other healthy, fast-casual eats for dine-in or take-away. My kind of place! This is one of those spots that I'd frequent if I lived nearby (ChopShop, want to open in Northern California?!). I stumbled upon this spot after a little self-guided tour of ASU campus on a sleepy Sunday morning (everyone must have been asleep after the big football game the day before). I'd forgotten about this spot and it was such a happy surprise to find it again and to see that they survived the pandemic and are still thriving. First visit I ordered: -Cheat Day Wrap: scrambled egg, bacon, white cheddar, smashed avocado, tomato, brown rice (I ordered without rice), and turkey or ham (I skipped these too) *DELISH on a whole wheat wrap!!! Full of flavor and super easy to eat. This hearty breakfast sando fueled my active morning of hiking "A" Mountain (Hayden Butte Preserve) the running around the the IronMan course to spectate (30,000+ steps as a spectator!). We couldn't leave town without another trip. I took my guy and we enjoyed a salad, another breakfast wrap, and: -Chicken + Prosciutto Sandwich: grilled chicken, prosciutto, fontina, arugula, fig mostarda, dijon (no dijon for us), on a house bun. If you're in the area, looking for a healthy-ish breakfast, lunch, or snack, definitely check out Original ChopShop. Note: it gets busy at peak meal hours with students and faculty. But my first experience was not that great. They had plenty of places to sit, whether you like to sit indoors or outdoors. I decided to try the "Glow Up Shake," which is their protein shake. The shake was okay; it didn't blow me away. Considering that it has banana, pineapple, dates, etc., I was hoping it would melt in my mouth with a galaxy of flavor--darn, no such luck. But like I said, it was an okay drink that I think others might like. Now, as for the $3 pre-wrapped Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie? The first cookie they brought me was hard as a diamond. I asked if they could heat it up to soften it a bit like they do at Starbucks, but he said they can't? Wow, I didn't realize that heating a Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie was so complex that it can't be done by some places. Anyway, the minor good news was he brought me a different cookie that was soft enough to bend and break off a piece and chew without worrying about breaking a tooth. But the big question is, will I be back? Of course I will; the place has a plethora of healthy food which I like. And I'm sure when I order something other than a diamond-hard Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie, my experience will be somewhat better. This place does have a fantastic Wi-Fi. That's a plus.
