Lomo Saltado - a lot of great sear and smokiness in the steak and veggies. Good umami flavors. Honorable mention are the Dan Dan noodles - they lean a little peppercorn heavy and don't have as much tahini as I'd like - but still yummy To avoid- the vegetable curry- it's watery and thin and doesn't really have any depth of flavor or complexity - leans very cilantro lime and has no funk. The staff was very friendly, professional, and polite. You order at the counter, and they bring the food out to your table. The line was very short and moved quickly. We placed our orders, sat down, and shortly afterward, our lunches arrived. I ordered three tacos, and we shared an order of chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were pretty straightforward ($4). My three tacos were carnitas, carne asada, and wild Mexican shrimp chorizo, ranging in price from $4 to $4.50 each. Unfortunately, the tacos were rather cold and lacked bold, distinctive flavors. Oddly, I'm not sure I could have told them apart if I had been blindfolded. For instance, with the shrimp and chorizo taco, I couldn't taste the chorizo at all. The shrimp looked like something straight out of a freezer. In my opinion, there are better options in Bend for tacos. But if you're in the neighborhood and have a hankerin' for tacos, Hablo Taco will do the job without bankrupting your wallet.
