I've worked in restaurants in my years and if that happens it's typically first priority if someone is missing part of their order to avoid just that. We went back tonight to give it another shot and noticed it completely dead again at dinner time which is so odd because in years past it's typically slammed with people. Met again with rude employees who treat you as your inconveniencing them by placing an order. That was our last straw. Really bummed as it use to be SO good but they've lowered their quality of service down to the point where it's just not a good place to go anymore unfortunately. Add to that axing great menu items has them struggling to keep business coming in. Icing on the cake is they have recently gotten rid of their Morita hot sauce which might have been the best hot sauce ever made in human history. Don't get me wrong it's a still a big step up from Taco Bell but if you're living on the Eastside, that gem of years past is slowly dying away. I'll miss you Hablo!

She was a huge fan! I brought her back two more times before she went home which was definitely not in my bingo card for her visit. Lucy's is unassuming. It's not some fine dining restaurant. There's a counter where you order your food and they call out your order when it's ready. What you can't see from the street is the salsa bar. Holy smokes it's fresh and delicious. They have all the condiments you'd expect from traditional Mexican street foods and hot chips just sitting there. The fish tacos my mom had? They were delicious! I ordered her two thinking they were tiny. No, they were huge so I had to eat one for her. Poor me! I've had the asada on multiple occasions and it's delicious every time. For the money, the portions are huge. You definitely get your money's worth. From what I can tell, there's usually only one person manning the grill and she pumps out food so hot and delicious all the time. They even serve menduo (Mexican hangover stew) which a lot of places in LA only do on weekends. I can't say good enough things about Lucy's. It's what I think of when anyone ask about authentic Mexican cuisine in Bend.

We told her the waiter didn't seem very willing to help so to just eat it as was. We didn't complain. Then my son ordered a steak burrito with no tomatoes. It came out covered in tomatoes. Again we told him to just pick them off. Then I ordered a chicken burrito. I took three bites and only got beans. I asked my daughter if her burrito had chicken, maybe they mixed up our meals, nope only beans in hers too. I told my husband I didn't see any chicken in my burrito. He told me to look on the other side, maybe there was only chicken on one side. Nope. I finally sliced the burrito down the middle and still only found beans. So my husband called over the waiter and explained the issue. He rudely grabbed my plate and took it to the back. He came back to tell us they were remaking it and I asked for it to go since my family was already done eating at this point. He was visibly angry, but went back and did it. Then came back and very loudly told the people behind us he was so sorry for the inconvenience. NEVER did he tell us he was sorry for the mistakes we did bring up and we only brought up 2 of the 4. Our bill came and there was NO compensation for the wrong meal, that I didn't even get to enjoy with my family. No apology, no nothing. We headed home and my daughter was upset. I told her it was fine. Then she informed us that she had tried to talk to the waiter on her way to the restroom to tell him it was my birthday so it could be celebrated and he put his hand up and told her not to talk to him. This was our first time at your restaurant, it wasn't a busy night, and we were treated like complete garbage. I was so disappointed that we traveled so far just to get the service we got.
