This is a taco cart by itself in a parking lot so keep your eyes open or you'll miss it! I did find parking in the little lot at 12 on a Monday. Don't ask if they do the consommé with the birria tacos! When I did, the answer was "we don't serve them that way" like they're too good for that? Is consommé an American thing? Oops! I preferred the carne asada tacos anyway. And I tried the avocado sauce because other reviewers liked it and wow it's spicy! This place is AWESOME!! Friendly staff. Helpful. Their tacos are amazing and the carnitas flavor town here we come. The chicken boarding the rocket ship to flavor planet and the shredded beef with grilled onions, on my flavor explosion and my mouth doing a happy dance. Did was delicious. Giant burritos were loaded with meat, cheese and avocado. Sauce was fabulous. The flan is a disappointment. Too sweet and consistency grainy. Servers are friendly and helpful. Be prepared to eat too much because it's just so good. Seating is outdoor picnic tables. read more

Tried to call in order, but found later that they "don't take phone in orders 15 minutes before closing because of flakes" - luckily, I drove over in time to order before closing. Burrito Linda Carne Asada with no beans, no rice was a solid portion with decent avocado and nice side of pico de Gallo in a takeout box. With just one other customer I got in and out within a few minutes. I can see swinging by again - just not too late since they close pretty early. read more

I've known about this place for a while, but hadn't made the trip over. Well, that changed yesterday when I had a craving for a burrito. I have a couple of go-to spots in town, but you can never have too many burrito spots! There were several people waiting and one ordering when I arrived. The menu is pretty straight forward, so I made a quick selection and ordered at the window. I was glad to see they accept credit cards (I thought they were cash only at one point). The guy at the window was very courteous and the food came out quickly. I ordered the Burrito Linda Adovada. The burrito was pretty large, filling the entire lower portion of the to-go container. This was a fork-and-knife-er for sure! The burrito had a great flavor and the fresh pico and lettuce provided a balance to the savory adovada. While the adovada was pretty tasty, it definitely had a different texture than I was expecting. The grilled onions were a nice addition also. While not my favorite burrito in town, this will certainly go in the rounds. I will be back and try the tacos soon! read more

Moving here from California (I know, I know), it has been a challenge finding a spot that comes close to what we have been used to. Out of the handful of places we've tried, this one is the closest. 3.5* I was looking forward to trying this spot with the stellar reviews but found it to be decent only. I came here and ordered many tacos and a burrito covered in sauce. Food: -chicken is stewed and appears to be breast meat, adobada doesn't look or taste like it's placed on a flattop grill. Carnitas and carne asada were decent. -sauce on the burrito is a bit strong for my liking. Was informed it's sour cream based and tasted like chipotle. Was hoping for enchilada style sauce. Conclusion: pretty much I like my meat grilled a bit and they don't do that here. Tortillas aren't memorable. I'd skip the "enchilada" sauce. Salsas are pretty good though. Highly recommend coming here! Everything is fresh and so flavorful! Tortillas used for the tacos are delicious on their own! Best tacos in Bend? Maybe - they're certainly in the running. Preferences vary in that regard with some people insisting on 'authentic', whatever that means. I judge strictly by what's on my plate so I can and do enjoy a wide variety of local taco styles (Here, El Sancho, Worthy Taps and Tacos, El Buen Zason del Mago, Rodolberto's, etc). Tacos Pihuamo, of course, offers more than just tacos. - Taco combo plate: three tacos with choice of meat, beans, rice, avocado/radish salad. While the beans and rice are not particularly exceptional, I like both well enough to make the entire combo a nice lunch plate. These tacos are double-tortilla, fairly plump and very good. Love the small bit of grilled onion that comes on the plate. - Enchilada combo plate: same deal as the taco plate. You get three enchiladas, which is a big lunch for me. The enchiladas (I order chicken) are quite good but maybe not up to the lofty standard set by the tacos. The red sauce is a bit too creamy for my taste. - Hot sauces: there are four squeeze bottles set out on the tables in an ice bucket and they are some of the best you'll find anywhere. - Quick. Place your order at the window and within a few minutes you'll have your food. Super nice folks inside the truck. - Nice shaded tables for dining in. Best tacos in Bend, and it's not even close. Oregon is notorious for screwing up the simple, yet elegant taco. Don't believe me? Try Sancho, or Lily's, or Parilla. You'll either taste cheap ingredients or caucasian influences, and neither belong in a proper street taco. If you're looking for tasty, handmade tortillas, well seasoned and moist meats, chunky guac with more than just avocado and salt, and fast, friendly service--this is the place. Don't waste your time with all the stunt foods and white washed taco shops in town, Tacos Pihuamo is by far the best in Bend. CA transplants rejoice, you can find a little taste of home down on 3rd street. Get 'em while you can, they're open 10-7 on weekdays only. And for the love of all things beautiful and good, be nice! I tried 3 different tacos at this food truck and I enjoyed them all. Carne Asada, Carnitas and Adovada were all delicious with the Asada being my favorite of the three. I will say that the quality of the meats were higher than I've had at other taco trucks. Where this place shines for me is their salsas. They have 4 different salsas all of which you can use to paint your own masterpiece upon the canvas of taco. I love beans & rice and if a Mexican place can't get that down right it says a lot. They have the best B&R here that I've found in Bend...authentic, unlike other places in town. Everything else is good too...best you will find in Bend. Only 2 things I wish they would up their game on: 1) the flour tortillas they use for the burritos are dry and tough...This makes me sad cuz I love burritos but will not order them from here cuz they are so bad. the tortillas they use for the tacos are great though. 2) I love molé. Unfortunately even though one burrito comes with it on the menu it is not molé. Best way to describe it is a sour cream sauce with a little enchilada sauce mixed in. This is disappointing cuz I was so excited when I saw molé on the menu ;( But overall this place is great considering the location. LEGIT AF!!! Coming from SoCal and my hubby being Mexican, we've finally found out go-to Mexican place that did not disappoint. Everything was so delicious and authentic. My hubby even commented about how good the beans were. My mouth is watering, need to go asap lol. We both got the taco combo plate and both chose adobada, carnitas, and carne asada. Each one was sooo good. The plate came with rice and beans plus avocado. Prices are so reasonable for the good quality too. I just wish they were open on weekends. read more

Tacos Pijuamo is the most authentic taco stand you'll find in Bend. I hit this place up at least once a week. My teenage kids bug me to make runs for tacos from Pijuamo- ALL. THE. TIME. The carnitas are phenomenal! I also highly recommend the habenero salsa. Stop by Monday through Friday only. That's the only bummer- You can only get em 5 days and they close early evening lol.
