Bunk & Brew isn't one of the most popular food cart/tap houses in Bend but it hosts one of the better carts in town: Alebrije Oaxaca. Definitely worth a visit. - Quesabirria tacos: these are some of the best birria tacos around. Well prepared, delicious and the tortillas are sublime. The beef consomme added a facet to the flavor profile and while good, really isn't necessary. You have a choice of two 'salsas' (I'd call them hot sauces) - I chose the hot. Very tasty and not wimpy at all. Two tacos is enough for a moderately filling meal. Big eaters might want more. The menu is ripe for exploring, particularly the mole dishes. Prices are reasonable; service is quick and Bend friendly.

    Quesa Birria - INCREDIBLE

The Beef Consomme and Quesa Birria blew our mind. We've tried this a few times before at other restaurants and they have been greasy. This food truck did an excellent job at this dish. We think of this dish often and when I am back in the area I plan swing by to get another order. There is a great spot to sit and enjoy your food. There is a stage, I think they have music here sometimes. There is a tent with heaters, which is great because it was freezing when we were here. There is also a few other food trucks that share this space. Highly recommend coming here for the The Beef Consomme and Quesa Birria!

quesabirria torta. Fantastic! The bread was so good and the consome had a wonderful, complex flavor

My 5-star review is really a review of the quesabirria torta! Everything about the sandwich was awesome. The bread remained intact and almost crispy, despite being coated in sauce. The filling was perfectly matched to the size of the bread and stayed inside even when dipping continuously in the consome, which had a really complex flavor going on. The size of the sandwich was also perfect. I'm used to either leaving half a sandwich for later or consuming the entire thing and wish I hadn't lol. This was the prefect amount of food for aa lunch that didn't weigh me down. I've wanted to try this place for a while, but was intimidated by its location and potential parking issues. Turns out, parking was a breeze! There are several parking spaces right next to the food court. You just have to venture down the alley just past Bunk n Brew and avoid other buisiness' parking areas. Now that I know they have close parking and more importantly, how damn good that torta is, I will definitely be back!

Somewhat hard to find it's behind a youth hostel but so worth it. Found this Jem on Yelp and did not disappoint. Fun e-bike ride to find it but so worth the adventure. Quesabirria tacos are a must and the family run place had a line with the locals.

It's definitely 5-star and the best tacos in Bend. We had the 2 Quesabirria Taco specialty with a cup of Consome. Both the beef and pork Birria Tacos were beyond delicious...probably the best we've had, and they were enormous! The price is reasonable and the outdoor seating (with the canines) was nice. the parking situation is a little sketchy, but after you walk past the dumpster and other trash containers all is good. Give "Alebrije Oaxaca" a try. Oh, and we've spent time in Oaxaca, Mexico for comparison.

    Quesa Birria Taco. Yum!

Best Birria ever. I love this place. The Jamaica fruit drink is perfectly sweet and tart. The quesabirria is the perfect taco. Obsessed.

    Birra tacos were godlike.

Everything we had here (torta, birra tacos, enchiladas, asada fries,) was amazing. There was also beer at the tuck near by. Do yourself a favor and go here.

After all that hard work, our family always ends up back at El Rodeo. It's our go-to spot and has been for years. The service is always great and the people working there are genuinely friendly and kind. It feels like a real family restaurant where they're happy you showed up. The bar is also a fantastic place to grab a drink or margarita, play a little video poker, and end up talking to half the locals in Bend. Somehow you go in for dinner and leave feeling like you attended a neighborhood reunion. The food is exactly what you want when you're craving Mexican: hot, good, and a lot of it. I have never once left there hungry or disappointed. Plates show up looking like they were designed for a lumberjack who skipped lunch. They recently remodeled the bar, which looks nice... but personally I believe Mexican restaurants should be built once in about 1987 and then left exactly the same forever. It's part of the charm. That said, the remodel won't stop me from going back regularly. Great people, great food, strong margaritas, and the kind of place that makes Bend feel like home. Five stars all day.

I ordered a Tostada with ground beef and a side of rice, the DH a Carne Asada Burrito. He got a margarita with "grand mariner" on the rim which means "gran gala". I got a top shelf with rail tequila; salt- rocks. I was surprised to receive our drinks in a plastic cups; which of course the salt does not adhere to. The tostada was so loaded and large that the corn tortilla was soggy immediately. It ended up being a plate of mush. The rice was very bland, and it had peas in it. This is not Mexican rice. The husband said his was okay, but there is a Florida chain called "Chuy's" which cannot be touched by any restaurant here in Bend. . The ticket was $78. Way too expensive for plastic cup drinks and mediocre "Mexican" food. Our server was nice and the reason for the 3 stars. Again, Bend is the destination for high priced and mediocre dining food and experience.

The calling and pickup experience was good. The super supreme burrito was definitely not super and was not enough to fill my appetite. It felt like there were ingredients missing and all I could taste was a lot of refried beans and some meat. Definitely was not super or supreme. I hope that it was a one time experience at this location. I tried the chicken fajita burrito with was quite watery and I was not expecting raw green onions in it, but overall left me craving for a better version of a burrito. Super Nachos were good, not the best that I've had but quite good for the price. Overall I'll try this location again just to see if it was just not the best day for the restaurant.

They cater to their clientele, the people of Bend. I don't blame them at all for catering to their customer's tastes. I ordered an all meat burrito, some fish tacos and a couple of carne asada tacos. Let's talk first about their tacos. The tortillas are flour tortillas. Most Mexican joints use corn tortillas. The fish tacos are made with tilapia. They are grilled, not fried. Not quite the same fish tacos that we have in Southern California. The carne asada was grilled. However, both tacos seemed to be missing flavor. Adding salsa did not help. The all meat burrito was indeed all meat. I thought I asked for carne asada, instead, I got a burrito full of shredded beef. Again, adding seasoning would've helped. I'll be super nice to them and give them 3 stars. But, if you come from an area with lots of Mexican food, you won't like this spot.

Loved that all the food is homemade including the tortillas. We ordered the carne asada and chipotle tacos along with an order of eloté. We could not have been more pleased. Carmen's Famous Tortilla Soup looked really tasty as well, so it looks like I have a reason to return. Alcohol including tequila is also served along with refreshing aqua frescos. Our food came out fairly quickly and it was hot and ready to eat. Tacos were juicy and the eloté although not the best I have ever had still provided good flavor. Location is easy to find although parking was tight. Perhaps it was the time of day we came and it was a weekend. Service was quick and efficient. Ambiance was perfectly beautiful sitting amongst the trees. I would recommend should you find yourself in Bend stopping here for a little bit of Mexico!
