After finishing a concert at the amphitheater, my husband and I were craving a late night bite to eat and desperately trying to find anything in Bend that was open past 11 PM. Someone suggested Taco Salsa so we made our way over and waited in the drive-through. Once it was our turn to order, we decided to get a cheese quesadilla, a Carne Asada taco, and an order of the rolled chicken tacos (I just thought these were called taquitos but I could be wrong). We took our food back to our hotel and dug in. The cheese quesadilla was nothing special, but when all it consists of is two ingredients, it's kind of hard to mess that up. My husband did not enjoy the Carne Asada taco and ended up not finishing it. As for the rolled chicken tacos, they were initially crispy and I think they would've been much tastier if they had not been absolutely covered in sour cream and salsa. I would've appreciated eating them plain or having the choice to just dip them into salsa myself, but after sitting in the juices of the salsa and sour cream, they ended up turning soggy and the texture was offputting to me. If you're in a pinch, looking for a late night bite to eat in Bend, this may be one of your only options. read more

Loved this place. Only downfall was they were having issues with the heat so they had heaters throughout the dining room to help warm it up. My food was great. Had the pork burrito and the salsa bar was fantastic. Loved almost all the flavors. Grilled onions to boot, there is something great about this place. Staff was great and super friendly and even gave me a free drink on top as it was a slow night being super chilly January evening. I would eat here at least 3X/month if I lived here. On our arrival afternoon, we were all exhausted and hungry from our travels. We decided to simply hit up a nearby Mexican restaurant for filling food and we weren't disappointed. Come to Yelp, this place was nearby with great ratings so we all stopped in. It looked like it was in an old Pizza Hut, with brightly light and colored menus - way too many things to choose from so there was something for everyone. Food was ready fast, we go everything to go to enjoy at our lodging. The staff here was friendly; food was delicious with large portions for reasonable prices. We recommend it. read more

The guacamole is liquid and has no flavor and the meat is super greasy, but other than that the food is good. The workers are friendly and fast. My only other complaint is that if you don't pay with cash they upcharge you 4%. read more

Over the years, Taco Salsa has become a regular stop for my wife and me. I love the chicken soft tacos and anything with carne asada. Since Super Burrito East closed, this is one of the few places with a full salsa bar, carrots, and jalapenos/onions. The quality is consistent and there's a reason it's always busy. read more

We came here after the place we yelped closed sooner than expected. I'm giving this place a 5 because it was clean. It is your typical taco shop when it comes to the menu. However, i want to make special mention about the staff who was helping us. He really went out of his way to help Modify our taco order to make it no salt. They were able to grill the chicken without adding salt, and even offered fresh slices of avocado to add to the garnish. Being from SoCal, I tend to be drawn to little while in the wall mexican food places. Although this was in a neighborhood in Oregon. I felt i was down some well worn path much closer to the border. The staff appear to be authentic, the prices were reasonable & the food was tasty. I added a liter of Coca Cola from Mexico (it uses pure cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup). which raises all kinds of questions about the states. But I digress. If your taste buds are thinking classic mexican food, then this is where your car should be driving you to. I've only ever come here at night after drinking to be honest, but the food always hits so hard. It's the absolute best drunk meal and the best part is it's open LATE! My husband, and I were heading home from our trip to bend and wanted a quick Mexican fix and found this place. Holy wow was I impressed by the flavors of the shredded beef enchiladas I ordered. They also offer complimentary grilled onions and peppers, and their salsa bar was stocked with tons of delicious kinds to try. It was kept very clean, and well stocked. Nice staff also. This is not your fancy fine dining place to drop your vacation dollars, rather very affordable and authentic Mexican food. Excellent for breakfast with many choices, yes they have a drive thru window.
