While visiting Long Beach, I came across this cute little hidden gem on the corner and decided to give it a try. The customer service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. First of all, I loved that the chips were served warm! They came with salsa and guacamole, the salsa definitely is spicy but the guacamole balances it out perfectly. We ordered the carne asada plate with shrimp, which came with soup, and everything was delicious. Loved the veggies in the soup nice & soft. The shrimp were a great size and packed with flavor, while the carne asada was grilled perfectly. The rice and beans were also really good and tasted homemade. For drinks, we got the Michelada and Lime Margarita both were delicious and perfect for a hot day! What I loved most was that the food reminded me of a home-cooked meal my mom would make. You can tell the food is made with care and authentic flavors. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes from the menu. It's an authentic Mexican restaurant that focuses on fresh seafood. A throng of loyal local clientels filled the restaurant on a typical Sunday. Service was friendly and prompt, and our food came quickly. It's not the best Mexican food than I had anywhere, but it's still heartfelt and we had a great time eating and talking with friends. Tasty for sure, but the portions didn't quite live up to the promise of the pictures. Then again, even McDonald's pulls that trick, so I won't hold it too hard against them. Pricing was on the steeper side for what you get, but you're paying a bit for the atmosphere, which honestly, is worth it if you're looking for a chill night out. The salsa was more like pico and did not have the best flavor. The lintel soup was ok. The bowl was disappointing. The steak and chicken were large thin pieces, and when served in a bowl are very difficult to cut up and be able to eat. The onions were barely cooked and had no char on them at all. We happened upon this restaurant because the Peruvian place we were heading to was closed and my buddy said to try this place.. I said ok and man oh man I'm so glad the other place was closed. Been looking for a spot where the food is tasty and authentic like mom used to make. Their green sauce is amazing had the green shredded beef enchiladas with a chile relleno combo.. the the last bite everything was well seasoned to perfection.. I loved it so Much I came back 2 days later and had the molcajete for 1!!!! So damn good comes with the panela cheese, nopal (cactus), steak, chicken and a delicious salsa that came out steaming and sizzling to the table. I can't say enough good things about it! read more

Simply delicious! It was my first time trying this place out and it did not disappoint. When I first arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome and smile. Wait time for food wasn't that bad considering the amount of people in the restaurant. I got the spicy fish and shrimp soup with a yummy chia limon agua fresca. The drink was so refreshing! We were in the mood for micheladas and stumbled upon this place after the first place we pulled up to only had the non-alcholic version. I'm so glad we did, the interior is very homey and our server was very attentive. I ordered the mole enchiladas, which came with soup or salad, but I was too full from downing the miche plus chips and the salad to dig in. My meal came with a small cup of lentejas (which tasted amazing and reminded me of home). My partner got the pescado al mojo de ajo and camarones a la diabla.
