The most authentic Mexican food in the area. This has become our "go to" place. Everything is good, so I won't push any items, but my wife loves the Carnitas. The portions are large enough to share, or take home for a second day. They also have a nice covered outdoor eating area. The only downside is no alcohol, but we don't mind that. I recommend them highly. read more

The place was clean and bright, the service was ok...felt a little rushed...and the food was pretty nice. Their 1/2 order of queso is a silly little thing...don't bother with it. Their contents were nice, there just wasn't much of it. When I return, I will stop in again. Maybe I'll be allowed to relax and try some of their more recommended dishes. read more

Food was just ok. Charged for extra salsa when only gave 1 for 4 people. Service was very slow. The other couple ask for 1 extra sour cream, didn't bring out until meal was finished then still charged for it. Bill was all messed up. No flavor in the beef. Would not recommend. read more

Food is Wonderful and affordable and service minimumal but when the food came out I only got half of my meal

Our favorite Mexican restaurant, great staff, five star food, presentation of food top notch, clean room, great prices. We eat here all the time! read more

As usual friendly staff and great food! Have to try the Queso Fundito , creamy white cheese with spicy chorizo! Shredded beef and bean nachos, burritos (one with shredded beef the other with pork). Delish! They have the best pulled pork here. Ask for your taco, burrito, enchiladas..... any way you want. They are great about being flexible. I like pork in my of my items either alone or in combination with another meat. Love it when a Mexican restaurant allows me to be creative with their many delicious items. So hard to just order any one thing!!!! read more

Los Amigos - Favorite Mexican food in town. Really good flavors all around. Tacos perfect. Good queso dip. Molcajete is a volcano of delicious meats! - Mexican Near Me - Mount Pleasant, Michigan

The servers were friendly and the food was nothing short of amazing. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends! The only downfall is that they don't serve alcohol but the quality of their food makes up for it. Tip: Mix the cheese sauce with the salsa, it's delicious even though it looks strange! read more

Los Amigos - Mexican Near Me - Mount Pleasant, Michigan

My family loves this restaurant. The food is delicious!!! We eat here at least once a week. The staff remembers you, they remember what drink order you place and are attentive to your needs. Do yourself a favor and visit them soon! read more

We love this restaurant. The food is great, the prices are fair, and the service is good. I believe that it is also locally owned, which is a big plus. For a family treat, this is our go-to place. read more

Service and food very outstanding. Wasn't sure it was open but what a great location will return in the future

Los Amigos. Tried it for the first , and last time. Let's start with the positives. The building looks nice from the outside; new and visually stimulating. The service was decent as well; not too long of a wait, and our server was accommodating. This is where the pro list ends. The food is incredibly mediocre. The menu selection is poor. If I wanted to eat inauthentic Mexican food, I'd just get Taco Bell for half the price. read more

Los Amigos - The beef looked a little pink. - Mexican Near Me - Mount Pleasant, Michigan

First time and last time. One step above the Bell. Place was empty, a clue. Burritos were soggy luke warm really didn't want to hear the two waitresses complain to each other a out how slow they were. I will be on the quest for a better place. read more

Los Amigos is a pretty great restaurant with space for customers, friendly service and overall comfortable eating conditions. The booths have coat racks to hang up your coats and the food is real good. read more

Food was good. Got carry out and food was hot and tasty. Forgot some things so that was a bummer but over all it's good Mexican food and will get it again. read more

Very bad food and the drinks definitely had no alcohol in them. We ordered shrimp and fish tacos and the tacos had no type of sauce on them and they tasted and looked undercooked. A waste of money for a family of three going out. Our daughter's grilled cheese didn't even have melted cheese yet very toasted bread. read more

Every once in a blue moon I'll get a good server. Tania has a nasty attitude. Good atmosphere

Excellent food. Horrible service. It's covid so I didn't hurt them on my review like normal. The salsa is really good and the tacos are very good. Margaritas are huge and cheap. Overall good place to eat. read more

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in a long time, and definitely the best in Mount Pleasant. We started off with their chips, salsa, and cheese dip and knew once we started eating that the food we were about to get was going to be delicious. The cheese dip and salsa are perfectly spiced. My husband had the Tacos de Carne Asada and I had the Chimichanga. Both were absolutely fantastic. Finished off our meal with Churros, and just like the rest of our meal they were amazing. We highly recommend Los Amigos! You will not be disappointed. read more

Received food poisoning after eating here. decent food just needs to be better prepared.

This is fairly typical Mexican restaurant with the usual dishes. The chips were very good! I actually liked that they had a variety of burgers on the menu because sometimes you have that one picky eater! The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. The place was very clean! Also, it doesn't bother me, but they don't sell alcohol, so don't go there if you want a margarita. read more

Ate lunch at Los Amigos in Mt. Pleasant, Mt. recently. I spend 4 months a year in south east Texas, and have eaten a lot of Mexican food. None of it beats the food at Los Amigos in Mt. Pleasant. The sauces tasted authentic, the chicken in the chiminchunga was tender pulled breast meat. Taco beef was lean. The chips were excellent. Beans were perfect. So happy to find this restaurant! read more

Best Mexican in town already! Fresh hot chips served with fresh salsa. The service was fast and friendly and the food came out very quickly for being as busy as it was. I ordered an enchilada lunch special, it came with two enchiladas and rice and beans. The portion size was enough to fill me up and bring some home. I appreciated how they seasoned their food here, they applied it to add a spicy kick without being overwhelming unlike other restaurants in town. The prices were also very fair for what you got! Loved Los Amigos and will be coming back! read more

Not bad, but working out some issues still. Overall the food was very good, with only a few small issues. The salsa had a good flavor, but was terminally salty. Hopefully, that is not a recurring thing. The enchilada sauce was pretty bland and could use improvement, but all else was good. The fajitas were prepared well, but beware, there was some serious heat! Since my mouth was aflame from the first couple bites I couldn't narrow down whether it was the fajita sauce, the jalapeño in the pico de gallo, or if there were strips of pepper in with the veggies on the fajita plate. I enjoyed it, but some might not. We all thought that it seemed to be vaguely similar to Rancheros in Midland and found out from our server that most of the staff came from there, which explained that. Hopefully they do well here, because variety is the spice of life, but Los Palominos is still my favorite (however, I do love the Tacos Al Pastor at Aztecas). read more

Best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The prices are great and the portions are large. Highly recommend.

One of our go- to Mexican restaurants. Nice atmosphere, clean, friendlly and attentive service, and good food. Our favorites include enchiladas, chiles rellanos and pollo blanco ( chicken strips and mushrooms in a mildly spicy cream sauce)). I think it gets overlooked by passers- by because it doesn't serve alcohol; but we have never had a bad meal there. read more

The restaurant is clean. Looks new. Service is good. Food came out piping hot. No alcohol but that is ok if you are looking for a good meal.

Chips were warm and salsa was fresh. The Mega Burrito tasted like a Burger King burger and was on of the more expensive ones on the menu. Worst entree I've ever had in my life. Service was pretty mediocre. Cramped cheap atmosphere... AND no margaritas to make up for this! read more

Service was very poor. Deep fried tacos were absolutely awful. They were clearly not freshly fried and tasted like paper.

Had the Burrito al Carbon. Dried chicken chunks inside a tortilla. Absolutely nothing else inside it. No mexican spices used whatsoever. A scoop of rice and salty refried beans for the sides. They also put a bit of watered down cheese sauce on top of the tortilla. Kinda strange. Definitely not worth the $11. A little sour cream, pico de gallo or guacamole would of gone a long way to making mine better. My wife had the Chicken Chimichanga which should be fried crispy. They put the cheese sauce on top of that which made it quite soggy. Both of our meals were on the small side. Service was good as was the warm chips and flavorful salsa but that was it for highlights. I've had better mexican food when I ordered it from a clowns head in the drive thru line. read more

The Mt. Pleasant area has plenty of options for Mexican food----the best being Las Palominos and the worst being Aztecas. Los Amigos is near the upper edge of the middle. It is good, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. It is also convenient to the shopping areas located at the south end of town. It is well worth going to and I will be going back. read more

We are always looking to try new restaurants when visiting our college students. We tried Los Amigos today. It wasn't bad and wasn't great. Definitely affordable, "decent" Americanized Mexican food. Pleasant Waitress and super fast service were a plus. read more

This place has good food and great service. Its pretty good. Anyways the moon landings were faked on the moon.

Average food. No alcohol and the wait staff seemed to forget we were there when it was slow.

We order here like once a week, the food is always AMAZING. Their staff is always friendly. Best In Mt. Pleasant!

Awesome food and very friendly service. Its a new business so they're working out the kinks but I'm definitely convinced they will do well.
