We had the jalapeño popper egg rolls, birria bao buns, poke bowl and the beignet's, and everything was phenomenal. The beignets in particular stood out to us, quite literally one of the best dessert items we've ever tried. They're layered like a croissant and have the texture of the inside of a cinnamon roll, truly to die for. Staff was very friendly, very quick and prompt service, and a very cool ambiance, clean, quiet but also artsy. I'd come back to Mt Pleasant for the Twisted Fork, don't sleep on this spot!

An hour later they walked up to the counter and told 10 more minutes. That was spot on for us getting our food too. An hour and 10mins. Dropped at the table without a word. Should have known better to order a lobster roll , only one peace of meat that looked the lobster the rest of the meat looked and tasted like tuna.

Our daughter and I returned to the car for a phone battery and saw Proper Taco and immediately went inside. Proper taco looks to be able to support, seemingly, any dietary concern... if it isn't already noted on their menu, I recommend just asking about your needs. There are almost too many tasty items on the menu; after a few minutes, she ordered tacos and I ordered Merv nachos for my wonderful wife and me. While we waited we laughed at the many magnets and other items with humorous quotes on them. We enjoyed this great food back in our seats, at the concert. I can speak to the fact that the Merv tacos are quite nice - great chips with so many flavors on top. Fantastic staff. Fantastic food, leading to my Plus Plus (++) award! Thank you, Proper Taco! We look to return on our next visit.

Place was crowded, small and I was ignored for 20 minutes while they stared right in my face and didn't help. Had a to go order that was soggy and cold by the time I got to eat it. It might not have been bad if not for that. But even on our way home we still tasted dill and they were the first things we tried to eat The signature smashburger was exactly that, a smashburger, and with that comes 2 dry patties cooked until they are chewy and jaw tiring. It had a good flavor but it's like chewing leather every time I order a smash burger from anywhere. I was only able to eat half before giving up. My wife ordered the Reuben. And as she put it, it's a rebuen, kind of hard to screw that up. It tasted like a Reuben should and wasn't anything special to brag about. I was lucky enough to apparently the one of the only people to either order coleslaw or the first to say something was wrong with it. It was dry, no sauce or anything on it, they actually agreed and replaced and fixed the whole restaurants batch of slaw. That was pretty good coleslaw though for sure. The pumpkin pie things, I didn't try them, but my wife said they were actually really good. Overall. Disappointed in what I ordered but between the service and other things that did come out good, I would try this place again, but I really wish people would stop the smash burger garbage.
