Totally stumbled on this place while on vacation in Harrison. Completely random huge restaurant in the middle of a rural area. The inside is gorgeous, real wood slab tables, an outdoor seating area, nice bar & a bunch of TVs. All the food was spot-on and the bread my sandwich came on was to die for. Ate at Juicy Bone last night. Great bread on the sandwiches. I think it's made in house. Rye for the patty melt was great. Fried mushrooms were hot and really good. So this place used to be called Yakees back when they first opened the location. Excellent food, excellent service and great atmosphere. They would get year round business from local manufacturing workers in the surrounding towns. But as things dried up, I guess the business did to. Now its Juicy Bone, a typical locals bar with mediocre food and a wait staff with an attitude. Its sad to see the good old places become - well, just old. read more

Well, I wanted to like this place butt,..... I understand it was the first day open after a pandemic, I get that, I was patient, waiting drinking wrong drink orders. Thats was okay, they were busy. So a friend met us 40 minutes after we placed our order, his came right out in like 20 minutes not bad. Waitress apologized said she was putting rush on order. I get it were trying to get back, no problem. Another half hour goes by, this is where my problems arises and I am no longer okay. I ask another waitress if she could please check on our food its been an hour and half. She get in my face and says "Only because we have been slammed!!!" I said I'm sorry I'm not trying to be offensive, could you just check, please . So I could here this waitress in the back at the top of her lungs, I TOLDTHEM I WOULD CHECK, thats when we left. read more

Went there last Friday hoping to get Pizza, well no Pizza, they were OUT of dough. Ordered 3 beers, my son's beer never came out. They came out to the patio where we were, ONE time after getting our 2 beers and 45, yes 45 minutes later we went in to see if they were even still open and to see where our food was. They said they were prepping it and we wanted to pay. We were sorry for interrupting the bartender from texting on her phone to pay. We usually call in a Pizza(when they have dough) because the service is ALWAYS terrible and slow. Too bad it is the only restaurant accessible by boat on Wixom Lake, Tobacco River and Tittabawassee River. I have no clue how they stay open, especially in the winter as it must be a ghost town. They have to be bleeding money and I don't even think Jon Taffer can help them. read more

The service was TERRIBLE. My waitress told the large group I was with that the kitchen was closed so that they didn't have to serve us. We realized this when she took orders from 3 other tables, and brought their food out no problem. So unprofessional. Other than that, she was slow, condescending, and rude. Salad bar is simple bit good and the lake access makes this a fun spot to take the boat in the summer or snowmobile in the winter. Their fish fry is fantastic and the burgers are amazing!!! Fun atmosphere and very friendly servers/bartenders/owner. Drinks out on the deck overlooking the volleyball courts....kids are welcome anytime!! We love this place!! read more

This place is unique. It is set in the middle of nowhere! LOL! At least to a city girl! But when visiting with family in this rural area, my sister said it was good, so we gave it a try. The atmosphere inside is really cool, beautiful woodworking! The outside atmosphere is very nice, it's on a lake, with an awesome patio and activities. The food was super, we had the ribs and they were outstanding (covered in a mild yet tasty sauce and fall-off-the-bone with no effort! YUMMY!)....and I am a foody, so that's a real complement! The staff was super friendly, prices were in line.....I can't wait to go back on my next visit to this area to try other dishes, but I will probably order those ribs again, they are that good. read more

August 2016 and still not worth the stop - We recently moved to the area (Wixom Lake) and wish this would've been THE PLACE to eat, drink and have a good time but sadly, it is NOT! The food is hit or miss depending on who is cooking. Juicy Bone is being marketed as a bar - well don't plan on getting drinks in a timely manner if even at all! The waitresses would rather stand around and talk than see if their customers are taken care of. Your glass can sit on the table for 10 minutes and then maybe, maybe they will get you another drink. Or... go and get it from the bar yourself. It's not even busy when this happens, either. They are also very unfriendly and almost rude if you don't fit the typical stereotype of looking like you were born and raised in the area. The owner is friendly...sometimes. The waitresses are NOT unless you were to go there daily. This place would really benefit from good management and someone teaching these young girls how to wait on tables and also perhaps how to teach them to look and act professional (not yelling across the bar to customers while waiting on them). I'm sure their tips could really benefit the way they handle themselves. Most look like they are worn out and too tired to walk to your table. The bar is a nice building if they would keep up on it's upkeep. I have yet to see the big blinds opened so that you could look out and enjoy the water or see what is going on outside. (bring the outdoor atmosphere of a vacation spot indoors!) There is also no atmosphere except for some tvs gong. What happened to music at a bar?? There also is not a jukebox to play music either. The pool table leave something to be desired as well as they don't even have all the right balls for some of them. At night, the parking lot is lit (if at all) by very tiny, tiny lights that makes it almost dangerous if you weren't careful. There should be brighter lights if they can afford it? That is the impression it gives you. You would hardly know the place is there! We hope something changes with this place as we would like to go there more, but don't unless we get desperate. If something else comes into this area - they would more than likely go out of business. I'm sure it's the every day regulars that keep it going. It's not any good to go back a second time if you know better. I really wish I could've given a better review but it just doesn't make the cut. Get your act together and run this business right!! read more
