My dry potato and my overcooked filet. RIP. This poor cow gave his life for bad cooking.
Aaron B.

Tried this place when I was in Midland on business. I ordered the filet medium rare with a baked potato and when the steak came it was burnt on top and tasted like some sort of fuel that they used for the grill. The baked potato was overcooked and drier than the desert. I didn't say anything but the manager was sent over because I wasn't eating it and I explained my experience and she basically told me that no one else complained so I must be wrong. She didn't offer to make it right so I guess I'm paying for a filet. Not sure what else I am supposed to do. I should have checked yelp before I came here. The ratings would have told me everything I needed to know. Try at your own risk.

Great experience for lunch with a group of seven. Food and service is consistently awesome.

Lucky's is typically my go-to place for work lunches whenever I'm in Midland and I would say the food is neither spectacular nor bad. Their main selling point imo is the absolutely delicious garlic bread they serve. My goodness- I'm not even much of a bread person but I look forward to their loaves every time I visit! I think Lucky's other strong suits are there is rarely a wait over a few minutes (even for groups of 5+) and the quantities are very satisfying. I've noticed that the taste and quality of their food varies greatly and I've ordered the same meal multiple times and gotten either very dry, overcooked proteins or cooked perfectly depending on the day. I most recently tried the Maryland Chicken and thought while the chicken was cooked well, the sauce was far too salty and overpowered the more delicate seafood proteins. The prices aren't bad, and I'll be sure to give Lucky's another try when I'm in town!

It's always good, love the fish and chips and the salads. The servers work hard and the restaurant is kept clean.

Excellent service but really disappointed in the food. Quality of the steak was mediocre at best. We won't be returning.

Brinstar is one of those places you walk into and immediately think, "yeah...I'm coming back."…read more If you're into retro vibes, this spot nails it. They've got a great mix of pinball machines, old-school arcade classics, and some newer games, so it doesn't feel like a museum, it actually feels alive. You can bounce between games, grab a drink, and just hang out without it feeling forced. What really surprised me though was the food. I expected typical bar food, but they go way beyond that. The brunch is legit, and the menu has some creative dishes that actually feel thought out, not just thrown together. It's the kind of place where you come for the games and end up staying for the food. The staff are super friendly and bring a fun energy without being over the top. It also strikes a nice balance crowd-wise. During the day, it's totally a spot you could bring your kids and let them have a blast, and later on it shifts into more of a social hangout where you can meet locals and vibe. Overall, it's just a really well done arcade bar that doesn't try too hard but still delivers on everything. Definitely worth checking out.

The Reuben was ok, but this being the second burger I ordered from there, I will never recommend one of the burgers ever. And neither were the full pound sandwich we ordered They expect all the flavor to come from the toppings, the patty itself was unseasoned and flavorless and only added a texture to the burger. Legit, you have to be drunk to think the burgers have flavor. Legit some of the worst burgers I've had and it continues the flavorless bullshit Midland restaurants pride themselves on. Never again.

The Mozzarella sticks are nothing special but okay to munch on. The bread is pretty good but could use something like a cinnamon butter served with it. Some places have terrible water when you order it, not this place! Water is a good choice for a drink as it tastes clean here. MEALS: 1. The pulled pork is decent but could use some more flavor in the meat itself. If you dunk it in the bbq sauce, it's good. The bbq sauce is more of a sour bbq than sweet. The mashed potatoes are good on their own and even better with the beef gravy with it. The baked beans are KILLER in flavor. The only downside is the jalapeños in it make it really spicy but add the flavor. Might benefit from using poblanos to back some of the heat down but keep good flavor. 2. The steak is good with some parts of the meat and some not. It lacks a good meat flavor and could replicate at home easily. It was cooked as asked for (medium well). It may have been better cooked medium or medium rare. The sweet potato is very yummy and done just right. The baked apples may be the BEST thing on the menu. So perfectly cooked and changes the whole dynamic of the food. Overall, some items are good and some items are just eh. With a few changes, this places popularity would increase quite a bit and could grow to be a major hit in the restaurant community.

Take it home no surprise I get it home and my meal is now a hungry man dinner because I have to microwave it. I microwave it cut into my steak which was supposed to be medium you know alittle pink in the middle. To see what I wouldn't even classify as medium rare. Steak was tough and chewy again no surprise. I had to microwave meal for a minute. Everything else was fine but again had to microwave my 60 dollar diner. Wish I could give negative stars after this experience.
