I only ordered a baked potato! It was perfect! Nice and hot but fluffy. You'd be surprised at how many mess up a potato!

The atmosphere here is classic old world charm meets bustoric building charm. It has an upscale…read morefeel to it and lots of light. I ordered the USDA Choice Filet Mignon ($49). This is a 6-ounce, 21-day aged, Black Angus steak cut from the center of the tenderloin. I got the Cajun Butter ($4) to go on top of it. I ordered it cooked medium. It came out medium rare, not even close to medium. I should have sent it back, they have you cut it to check it. I don't like to send food back because you never know what they'll do to your food. Besides they are pros and should know how to check a steak temperature. That being said it was a high quality piece of meat. If it hadn't there's no way I could have eaten it. I did enjoy it anyways, I just didn't come close to loving it. The cajun butter was very good and definitely helped the steak and they gave me an extra dish of the butter. I definitely appreciated that. I got the mashed potatoes wirh it. These were good, but not great or special in any way. I was asked about a salad and not thinking about it I ordered the side salad. That was an extra $3.50. It was an excellent salad. I also ordered an extra side of the Elote Style Corn ($3.50). They forgot it when they brought out my food and I had to ask about it. When it did come out it looked good, but I ended up hating it. Way too much lime in it, that's all I could taste. The bread bowl that came before my meal was delicious. I also ordered a Cheesecake ($10.50), I think it was Cinnabon Cheesecake, to go. I ate it that night and it was delicious. The service overall was excellent. That old world charm feel again meets a higher tier restaurant. Besides the forgotten side. The service was perfect. Overall the best I can give is 4 stars. High quality meat, but not cooked right. Excellent bread and steak toppers, but very ehh sides. A very good dessert. All this on top of the price. I'm willing to pay for an upper tier meal, but my expectations go up with that. Honestly 3 stars also would be fair, but I'll keep it at 4. Would I return? I would definitely give it a 2nd try if I'm ever in Saginaw again.

We sought a fresh fish restaurant r to celebrate our 54th anniversary. Gemini recommended this…read moreplace so we took a chance. It was excellent. Prices are increasing so our bill was just over $100 but we ordered drinks which added $25 to the bill. Drink instead of dessert, all things being equal. They had adequate seating. Food service was quick, we were in and out in less than 90 minutes. Never felt rushed. Waiter was quick to take our order and food come in a reasonable time. Funny thing was when I call to get reservations they specifically asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, we were celebrating our 54th anniversary; " Oh great I'll note that" she replied. It meant nothing at the place. Not sure why they wanted to know. Yes, we made sure the host seating us and waiter also knew. Nothing. What ever that is worth in your selection process.

I'm a little disappointed I suppose…read more After reading all the glowing reviews and looking over the menu I was sure I was going to have a delightful meal this evening. This restaurant is attached to what is clearly a dying mall, and that may be part of the issue they're having in terms of retaining staff and maintaining foot traffic. It is desperately hard to maintain a high quality standard in food when you simply don't have that many people coming in to eat. The staff I interacted with were generally friendly, but also quite busy and trying to keep up with the various tables. The seating options were a little uncomfortable, but serviceable overall. Everything appeared to be clean, although I noticed a bucket of dishes sitting out in the main dining room That was not being attended to. Given the volume of business they were having at the time this wasn't a huge deal. The food was a mixed bag. The chips were decent but a little greasy. My chicken was well prepared and had a delicious cheese sauce on it. The rice and beans were quite regrettable unfortunately. The beans were overcooked and too pasty, the rice had no real flavor to it. It really is a shame, I was looking forward to trying this place.

I was angry, I was like "no I'm not going in there, it's an abandoned restaurant in an abandoned…read moremall" I shouted in the midst of an argument with my wife who "wanted to try something new" Fortunately for me we had my mother in law with us who brought sense to the situation by just walking inside the Cazadores restaurant. This was some of the best Mexican food I've had, period.

( by the way the Hampton is good too). The food is very good and excellent by Logan Roadhouse level Restaurant standards. The price is reasonable and excellent if you consider the quality and taste of the meals. The menu is diversified enough that I ate here 3 out of 4 nights and was never short of options. Just the smell of the steaks as I walked to the Resturant from the hotel made my mouth water. Service was top notch and friendly despite being what looked like a little short handed- everyone was pitching in and working as a team. One night I watched a patron give a manager a unreasonably hard time about his impression of his steak being a sirloin when he ordered a ribeye. I understand a disagreement, but this individual either was having a really bad day or purposefully trying to illicit and adverse response from the manager. I ended up leaving due to being uncomfortable with the patron's repeated abusive response. The manager remained professional through out the exchange. I travel 3 weeks a month all around the country- I eat at some very high end restaurants when I'm with clients. This little roadhouse is a gem and a go to for my future visits to the Saginaw area for business. If you live or work on a budget- enjoy good food, value and solid customer service - I think you will be happy with your experience here. My compliments the entire Roadhouse team for making this "road warrior" feel at home. ( by the way; I like meat loaf- but add the onions, mushrooms and gravy and it becomes downright exciting !) who would have knew ??
