Siracha and Dijon were in the driver's seat with one of the slaws I tried. The staff was super friendly. Although the restaurant is a humble place it was jammed when we were there. If I lived in the area I'd probably show up once a week too! Maxons clearly captured the rural area's attention and some folks from town were there too. What a great experience. We ordered a rack of ribs ($32 with no sides), chili cheese fries ($19), and brisket fries ($17). Our takeout order took about 50 minutes, and after a convenience fee and tip, the total came to over $87. The ribs were fairly fatty and average at best. The chili cheese fries were covered with so much chili that they were more like a bowl of chili with fries underneath. The brisket fries were probably the best item we ordered, although the meat was more similar to shaved steak than the BBQ brisket we expected. To be fair, the portions were generous, and while we were waiting, a local customer mentioned that the mac and cheese is one of their better menu items. The staff was also friendly.
