Wonderful breakfast! Stopped in to grab a bite to eat a few weeks after moving to the area. Stop by and check them out.

It's hard to describe the way they've carved out an entirely new BBQ flavor. I had the BBQ tacos with pulled pork, which was dynamic. The parfait is certainly a unique way to deliver the whole experience in a single convenient dish. Beans in the bottom, pulled pork, with coleslaw on top. Certainly the different types of slaw influenced the overall flavor but I think it was also the way the cabbage in the slaw was rough cut instead of shredded. Siracha and Dijon were in the driver's seat with one of the slaws I tried. The staff was super friendly. Although the restaurant is a humble place it was jammed when we were there. If I lived in the area I'd probably show up once a week too! Maxons clearly captured the rural area's attention and some folks from town were there too. What a great experience. From the moment see left our vehicle we could smell the fire and the smoking meat. Wonderful! Give Maxons a try!

All the meats were nicely smoked, fresh and tender. The Mac n cheese and Beans were very good. Cornbread was also good, moist and flavorful. The food came out very fast, drinks were also good. All the sauces were really good, we like the house made Molasses sauce and Chipotle the best. It is a little pricey, be prepared to spend some money for a good meal.

The front door let in a blast of freezing air every time someone came in, making our food get cold quickly. Most importantly, the BBQ ribs that my mom had were burnt to a crisp. The coleslaw was awful and no one at our table ate it. It was tinged with a pink color...ugh. The smokes turkey that I ordered as part of a 2 meat dinner was drier than a bone. So they slathered some sauce on the top and called it good. Cornbread was good. Everyone complained about the over done meat...and in fine print, beware, if you order the St. Louis style ribs, they will add on a 8.95 cent up charge. For what???? Extra time on the "Barbie?" To top it off, they added a 20% tip to the bill AND they added a 3% surcharge to use our bank card. Overall, a terrible meal and better yet, the manager didn't believe us or care about our experience. Save your money.::go somewhere else.

I also had the ribs and they were tender and juicy but not much flavor without adding sauce. 3/5 Sides: due to not having a ton of flavor, the slaw and Yams were the best, the Greens weren't anything special, needed more seasoning and the mac was bland. Not super impressed with the cornbread either, very cakey. 5/5 Sauces: personally, loved them all. 10/10 service: Veronica was our server and she was fantastic. Restaurant was out of wings, but she was extremely communicative and friendly, offered other suggestions, so kind and knowledgeable about sauces and the whole menu. She was great! The location itself needs a bit of love, no sign outside - just a white board. It looks like they're still remodeling - but it was clean (bonus!), good music was playing, and the decor on the walls was a nice touch. Service really saved this review from being 3/5 and took this up to a 5 star review.

I got Baked Beans and asparagus with it, both premium sides so extra. The Sirloin tips were good, however the Bourbon sauce was unlike any Bourbon sauce I've had before. In this case that's not a good thing. It was saved though by the tables Slo's bbq sauce. The Baked Beans were excellent and slightly spicy. The asparagus was a big pass. I would have expected a bbq twist on it, however they were very plain. When you're seated they bring a generous slice of cornbread. It was excellent. They serve honey butter with it, I'd add cinnamon for a nice addition! The service was good. Friendly and helpful. Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? Yes, but I'd get a different dish. I was surprised it wasn't busier for a Memorial Sunday lunch.
