My brother, our friend and I enjoyed our entrees and drinks during dinner time on a Saturday. We were seated immediately without reservations. I enjoyed the pricy but large portion of shrimp broccoli Alfredo that was excellent. I also ordered a take out stone fired BBQ pizza for the family. This again was on the pricier side but was also excellent. Our service was great especially since she had a table of 8 and 12 that she was working by herself. Food took a very long time to come, then was cold and very poor quality. Sauce was basically just water. Was missing toppings. They just had excuses about how busy it was. My advice; have standards and take pride in the food you are serving. Seat as many people as you can serve well. Don't lower your standards because a lot of people showed up at once. If 6 tables don't get sat and they went somewhere else because the wait was too long and everyone else had a great meal, that is not a bad thing. read more

Was a really great find! We were here the night before my wife's commencement obtaining her doctorate degree & there were 6 of us. Didn't have a reservation & they were closing soon, but still rather full. No problem! We were seated at a round table in a sort of alcove area - perfect! This is also a brewery & at our server's suggestion, I had a Ghost Train IPA from their beers - quite light & delicious with lots of juiciness. Others had champagne or cocktails. We all shared an order of Lager Cheese Dip, my wife had the Wild Mushroom Bisque & it was wonderful. My friends and I recently met up here before a comedy show at Soaring Eagle Casino. Luckily we arrived right before the dinner crowd filled up the restaurant. The drinks were great and we all loved everything we ordered food-wise. I devoured the Mountain Town Salad-- it was perfect! Light, fruity, and the grilled chicken on top was cooked to perfection. My friend's "Pepperoni Peak" pizza was very spicy, but exactly what she wanted in terms of size and flavor. The restaurant itself is classic and intimate, and the booths are comfy and accommodating. A group of four will have more than enough room to stretch out and relax during dinner. Next time we're in the Mount Pleasant area, we'll stop here again for dinner and drinks! read more

They recently catered our wedding, and their team did a phenomenal job. We initially had the tasting at the restaurant, and the service and atmosphere were great. All of the food was incredible. The prices were reasonable, and they were very accommodating and easy to work with. They hosted our rehearsal dinner in the garden out back. We wanted to keep it simple, so we had the pizza, and our guests said it was the best pizza they had ever had. They brought everything to our venue about 30 minutes away. We started with bread and hummus, and the spinach dip. Our menu was the fettuccine Alfredo and pork tenderloin with a vegetable medley. Apparently it was good -- our guests didn't leave us anything to take home. Definitely recommend these guys. read more

This place is pretty large with wood everywhere - Beautiful modern looking place. Our family of 5 sat at a big round table which was nice so we could all see each other. Waitstaff was attentive and served us right away. We had to ask for kids menus. I had the fish and chips. The beer battered breading was thick. Fries were great. This place has been a family favorite of ours when we get the chance to get together. Yesterday my gf and I met up with my parents and uncle. The food was great per usual. I had the Crispy Chicken sandwich, my gf had a pizza, my mom got the walleye, my dad the fish n chips, and my uncle the french dip. It was all great. The beer is also phenomenal. If you like extremely loud restuarants with mediocre food, poor service, and dirty dishes, this is the place for you. We 'dined' here recently on a week night. We were very disappointed in the service, the meal, and the atmosphere. We were seated right away, and our server came to our table within a few minutes, but then we waited over half an hour just to get our salad (we added a side salad to our meal). We both ordered the Herb Pecan Walleye with a side of red-skin mashed potatoes (and the added side salad). While the Herb Pecan Walleye was very good, as was the side salad, the potatoes were terrible. They were barely warm, tasted sweet, and were visually unappealing (a perfectly mounded scoop like you'd get in a cafeteria). No bread or rolls were served, which is disappointing (bread is always appreciated - especially with fish). Our server took our order and delivered the check, but that was the only time we saw him at our table the entire time we were there. Someone else brought our drinks and our meal, but no one bothered to check on us to see if we needed anything, if our drinks needed refreshed, or if our meal was to our satisfaction. Fortunately, I had opened my napkin & silverware prior to my salad being delivered, otherwise I would have been left with a dirty fork (dried on crud - just disgusting). The restaurant was incredibly loud - and the staff only added to the noise level by literally slamming dishes. At one point, dishes were slammed so loud behind me, I actually jumped in my seat. Clearly, none of the staff have been trained properly on how to discreetly clean a table, or behave with customers. We can't recommend Mountain Town Station with good conscience, but if loud restaurants, mediocre food, and poor service are your thing, go for it. read more

I'm going to start with desert because they should be Three Stooges slapped! WHO in the whole wide world serve ALREADY BAKED chocolate chip cookie w/fudge topping, ice cream and whip cream?! The deserts on the menu were deliciously original which I wanted but who can resist WHAT I expected to be a fresh baked HOT cookie! Its an insult to ALL cookie and ice cream lovers to be presented with a cookie that was precooked and room temp fudge smeared over. I had every right to assume the cookie would be freshly baked... can I get an AAAMEN? When the waiter stated good choice and that the fudge was put on top and put back in the oven to melt over the cookie I just knew I didn't mind the 3k calories. When he came back 5 minutes later, I was too out done when he questioned me why I questioned a rubber cookie. Nuff said there, I've made my point. (It's in the trash, not worth the calories). We ordered the 10 beer battered shrimp to share and received 10 popcorn shrimp, I wanted to play a game and see who had good aime and throw in each of our mouths. That's my hilarious review. The Pecan Walleye fish (WARNING contains bones) was a first for me delicious but I would like options for the topper. I'm from down South so our chefs cook differently and our taste buds are different in expectations. I'm just a food critic and have eaten from many places around the world so Im unapologetically giving 4 stars for MY OPINION. My coworkers chunky chicken strips and beautiful burger was highly rated to my eyes, I wish I still ate meat. My nonalcoholic drink was a perfect original surprise, needed a splash of sprite but good. Ambience was a perfect atmosphere for an after work meetup. 4 stars from a Southerner. read more

Mushroom soup was bland, the caprese salad was good and hearty portion, as well as, the coconut shrimp. I didn't care that the shrimp came already in a bed a wet sauce. No choice whether to have sauce or not and by the time you eat the last one, it's soggy. Good wine list. We ordered, ate, no problem. Comfy booth, loud atmosphere but all was fine. The service was great, until we were done. He was doing everything, except bringing our bill. Serving other tables, getting refills, taking orders. I am not exaggerating when I say 20 mins. Our drinks were long empty and saw that and cleared our table on his last visit. We refused refills and just wanted the check. The only saving grace to this place is the management. The hostesses found the manager, who was clearly elbows deep in something, sweating like a champ and I felt bad for dragging him away from whatever he was doing, but he was on top of our issue, got our bill, added a discount and apologized profusely. It took longer to pay then it did to order and eat. Ugh, this could be a great place, but this visit was not good. We won't even think about giving it another try. read more

It was excellent and I will be ordering it again. My wife had the Millennial yardbird chicken sandwich. It had a chicken breast on a grilled brioche bun. It had bacon and avocado on it. She said the chicken was very tender. The bacon was very crispy and just enough to make it right. The avocado added a good flavor. My daughter had the salmon. I can't remember the name. It had a Hawaiian sauce on it with a pineapple. She commented "why can't mine taste like this when I make it". So I'll take that as a thumbs up. Lol. She thought it was weird but she was craving fries so she got them with the salmon. I say nothing is weird if it's what you want. I tasted a few, very crispy and flavorful. I enjoyed myself at this brewery. I had a seasonal craft beer that was 7.1%. It tasted excellent. The waitress gave me a sample first and I liked it. I ordered pork tenderloin with mash potato and asparagus. The mushroom gravy over the pork made it taste very nice. I've been to Mount Pleasant many times but this was my first visit here. I'll stop by again the next time I visit. The service was excellent and the price was modest. There was plenty of parking and the ambiance was that of a brewery. Let me start by sayin the ONLY reason this is a 4 star as opposed to 5 is strictly because of the noise level. Yes, picky, but just something to bare in mind. Given it being a popular restaurant in a college town, it's to be expected. But it was difficult to even hear yourself think, and that was at 4:00 in the afternoon...couldn't imagine late night service. They do offer outside dining options however, so you can possibly get around it. That being said, everything else about the experience was INCREDIBLE. Even with the restaurant being fully packed, it was less than 30 minutes from being sat to having food on the table. The server was also very attentive (even with a full section). As for the food, it was well worth the price (slightly high compared to others in area). My steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the baked potato was even properly seasoned (which seems to be skipped a lot). My wife had their brisket and it was delicious as well.
