Can anyone explain to me why qdoba doesn't let me, as a responsible adult, decide the order that the ingredients will be scooped into the bowl. I went to college and I pay taxes. I try to avoid running over a squirrel when they dart out into the road. But when I walk into a qdoba if I want to get my nachos with the chips on the side I've got to have the cheese at the bottom of the bowl. What kind of world are we living in?! Who would choose to put the queso at the bottom of the bowl when the rice is coming next and just going to make a cheesy ricey pudding at the bottom of the bowl. It's yucky. But you cannot avoid if you go to qdoba in mt pleasant. Kudos to the employees who were mostly straight faced as they explained to me that my nachos would only be nachos if the queso was in the bottom of the bowl. Any other placement of the cheese and the dish would magically transform into something else that is, you guessed it, more expensive. I don't know what those employees were made of but it's better material than me. I don't have what it takes to look someone in the eye and insist that unless the queso goes in first it's not nachos, and seemly actually care and really mean it. I half enjoyed my quesoless nachos. And I hate that in 2024 qdoba is gaslighting me. read more

The employees are always very ornery and do a poor job of explaining the options available even when asked a direct question. This is definitely one of our favorite places to eat in Mt. Pleasant. They have a lot of great options you can put on your burrito, and vegan or vegetarian isn't a problem. Service is quite fast, it's not usually crowded, and prices are reasonable. I LOVE this restaurant, the food is killer. However, the service is the worst I have ever encountered. I have worked in customer service several times throughout the years and try and give employees space that perhaps they are having a bad day. I love this Qdoba and have been going here since it opened in Mount Pleasant! The staff is so friendly and the food items are extremely fresh. The taco salads are always my favorite and they have a Mexican Ceaser dressing as well as a Picante Ranch option for the salad! Both are good and their chicken is so flavourful!! Slightly better than their sister company qdoba, I was offput by them serving Chinese burritos but I guess that's what qdobat is known for.
