This was my first time eating at a Culver's and it exceeded my expectations. I appreciated that it's made to order and the wait time felt appropriate. The menu is large! I chose a butter burger--the ButterBurger Cheese, with a side of Wisconsin cheese curds. Both were very tasty. I had a Vanilla Malt to drink. It's hard to find a good malt and this one was delicious! Very friendly service. Very spacious and clean inside, including the bathrooms. I enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. Easy parking. read more

Culver's is truly one of the best places to get a burger or chicken. We ordered single cheese burgers and one crispy spicy chicken with fries and onion right. Dang the food was outstanding and fresh. Yes it might take longer to get your meal but it is cooked to order. Prices are on the high end but it is so worth it. read more

This has got to be the worst drive thru experience. When we order, I always tell the person I want ketchup and salt with the order. After paying at the window, we always get a sticker to put on our mirror and go wait again further down the line for the food. I'd say we average about 15 minutes to get our food. Totally unacceptable. You would think after waiting that length of time that we could get the ketchup and salt in the bag. Napkins ought to be a no brainer for the drive thru, but not here. They can't get it right. It's always a hit or miss if the food will be warm. Never hot. We've had burgers when the buns were ice cold. The patties not much better. The custard was pretty good. Had vanilla and chocolate. Didn't care for the chocolate as much. The place wasn't the cleanest. A lot of tables were sitting dirty and it really wasn't that busy. Maybe 10 of us in the place. The staff was super friendly and kind. They seemed very conservative which is not matter to me. I saw one help an elderly woman to her seat with a cup of coffee and then later she started cleaning up the floor etc but she was the only one. read more

Consistently the worst drive through experience. I've waited for over 20 minutes in the drive thru for my food every time I've been into this location. The final break in point was two cars that ordered after me got their orders before me and they had bigger orders than me. I had a very simple burger and small fries and it didn't get to me until I parked my car and went into the restaurant and asked for a refund. They kindly apologized and refunded my order and even let me keep the food that was just coming out. I only had a short lunch and didn't have time to wait that long for my food, so my suggestion is that you better have time to wait if you want to go through the drive thru here. read more

I've revised this review (original is below), because I've found that I like culvers a LOT more than I originally gave credit for. I had said it's 2nd best in MI behind Five Guys, but I find myself Craving Culvers a LOT, and I rarely crave five Guys. The Cheese Curds especially, are just frickin' AMAZING. I have YET to find any Cheese Curds that can come close. I'll stick with my statement that most the entrées are subpar, BUT it's a BURGER JOINT at it's core, and THAT is what they're good at. If you like frozen custard, they are pretty danged good at that, too. Also, I like that the employees, while typically VERY young, are (or are trained to be) very courteous and helpful, and not dim-witted lazy turds. That goes a long way in my book. ----Original Review Below-----Culver's has the 2nd best burger chain restaurant burgers in Michigan behind Five Guys (well, at least off the top of my head). I found the restaurant very clean and neat. The staff was friendly. This was the first time in a couple of years that I had gone to this particular location and it seemed vastly improved. For the first time I had one of their burgers and I found it to be quite good. I loved my French fries, which were nice hot and crispy. I used to love this Culver's, but it has gone down hill. Staff is not on top of cleaning like they used to be. Last time I was there I overheard what I assume is the manager or owner yelling at a staff member. He was obnoxious to her. I will not patronize a place that will treat employees like this. They're really dirty and their staff clearly aren't treated with the respect they deserve from their employers.

Let's just say that my family eats at Culver's...a lot. It's our go to fast food place when we travel due to multiple allergies, and they've always done an excellent job for us until this evening. We waited an extremely long time to get our food to go. We went in to place our order as the Gluten Free burger doesn't come assembled and challenging to do in the car. When order finally arrived my burger was not on GF bun even though I said it a couple times. Cashier was mostly concerned that I got right toppings but my standard line is "gluten free is most important item." We could not wait another 20 minutes to have it remade so I requested a refund and explained the situation. I can 100% understand that mistakes are made and they were apologetic. But what bothers me the most is the person who took our order, overheard the conversation, turned and saw me and recognized she was the one who messed up, and basically sprinted to the drive thru window to avoid any conversation or repercussion. A simple "I'm sorry" from the person who made the error would have gone a long way. Perhaps Culver's will see this and use it as a training moment for their staff. Perhaps customers with food allergies will see this and be overly concerned on stressing the importance of honoring allergy issues and making sure they don't have the same error at this location. read more
