Have dined here 3 times. Service can be hit or miss and seem to be training people every time we have gone. Drinks are basically whatever is on tap. If you're looking for a good custom cocktail, this is not that place. They seem to be out of well liquors every time we have gone. If you want basic tap beer and pizza, this is that place. Specialty pizzas are unique. We have tried 3 so far. Spicy Hawaiian is our favorite. Crab Rangoon was a disappointment. Honey pepperoni was also a disappointment. Pepperoni was chard on every one we seen going out to tables. We were told that's how we make them. We picked them off. The last visit about a week ago was the most disappointing. We took my mother and aunt, they had never been. The atmosphere was weird on this Friday at 5p. Teens had seemed to move in to stay. Staff seemed to indulge them, rather than move them along. Again, no bourbon for an old fashioned and no gin. Skip the custom cocktail menu. Pizza and breadsticks are what they do best. Love the pizza crust! read more

By far the worse dining experience we have ever had. We ordered to go and after 20 minutes were told it would be another 15 to 20 minutes. (All we ordered was 2 grinders and a small 8" cheese pizza). 50 minutes later still waiting when they finally brought our order out. Honestly, we were the only 2 people in there. Brought our grinders home and there was only 2 paper thin pieace's of turkey on it and very little of anything else. Never going there again. To their credit, The bartender was very nice. Unexpected! So, in all honesty, I didn't intend on writing a Yelp review today. I was running around like mad and completely famished when I stopped in impromptu like. I thought, "It's just gonna be pizza," so no pictures were taken. But this place was so impressive in both food and service, I had to write one anyway. The quaint, welcoming atmosphere and spotless cleanliness immediately caught my attention. What really sets this place apart is the staff - not just friendly and helpful, but their enthusiasm for the menu is contagious. You can tell they're proud of their food, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. Everything is prepared in-house, from the delicious salad dressing to the croutons and pizza dough (you get the picture). We tried the margherita pizza, which was absolutely delicious, paired with a couple of glasses of wine. While I didn't take any pictures this time, I'm already planning my next visit. There's so much more to explore on their menu, and I can't wait to dive deeper into what this gem has to offer. First time here. Have to say very glad our 2 year old wanted pizza. Otherwise, I don't think we would have stopped here. The energy in the place is amazing. The music isn't too loud but loud enough to enjoy. Shout out to our waitress Chloe she is absolutely amazing! Love her energy as soon as she stepped up to our table. Her look is unforgettable. The pepperoni was crispy and flavorful, the honey was the perfect amount of sweetness and the tomato sauce was a bit spicy which made for the perfect combination! The ranch was also delicious! I don't normally give 5 star reviews but this one deserves it! Small but intimate place with booths along the wall opposite a beautiful bar. We came in on a Friday afternoon around 2 and was seated immediately. Summer, our server, came over right away to take our drink order (soda for me Michelob Ultra for hubby). We decided on stuffed breadsticks, pizza and hubby got the salad bar. The kitchen made a mistake and made us regular breadsticks but Summer said they were remaking them (we took the regular ones home for tomorrow's dinner ). Hubby liked the variety on the salad bar and with the stuffed breadsticks....yummy!! We got a meat pizza and added mushrooms with a thin crust... delicious!! Not sure how busy they get but as I mentioned, it's pretty small. They do have a nice patio area though so in the better weather months I'm sure that would help with the space. Prices are average (but probably a bit pricey for a college town). For the 2 of us with above food and 3 Michelob Ultra's it was around $65 with tip. Parking is on the street, so again if it's busy you may have to walk. We'll definitely be back when in the area and I may even try a drink from the bar read more

I ordered a bbq chicken pizza with extra chicken, extra red onion and add pineapple....i received a little chicken, little red onion and pineapple. Unfortunately I received no bbq and no extra chicken or extra onion. I called and was told they would make a replacement (that I again had to pick up). What I received was a bbq chicken pizza with extra chicken extra onion and pineapple.....there was enough bbq and mustard drizzle for 5 pizzas......it was not edible. We ordered pickup for two pizzas and went in early for a draft each while we waited. They have a large selection of drinks on tap. They were both delicious after a long week. The Philly Steak & Cheese Pizza is exceptionally flavorful! We also had a pepperoni and black olive for the kiddos, and it was good, minus they thought the pepperoni was overly crispy. Hands down some of the best pizza Ive eaten in Michigan. We ordered 4 different personal pizzas so we could try a variety and were not disappointed. The two that stood out the most were the margherita pizza and the pickle....yes, pickle pizza. I dislike sliced or chunky tomatoes but went outside my comfort zone and the margherita was so fresh tasting with the basil and mozzarella cheese, i loved it! Our server talked us into adding ham and onion to the pickle pizza and it worked. I was leary too, but the flavors really blend and i would order it again for sure. Bread stick were soft, garlicky, and delicious. We came on a Friday and there was no wait. If i lived closer this would definitely be one of my favorite places to eat, but for now Im keeping it on my list for the next time I pass through town. We went there for the first time - not sure what to expect. Not a big place - narrow with Booths on on e side and the bar on the right. The booths are half an oval ; so if you go with a bunch of people you'll probably have to sit close and all face the same direction. There were a couple table but nobody was eating at them. Had pizza and wings. Good news here. They have gluten free dough. We didn't get it but always a good touch. Also they have a lot of toppings. They had anchovies! Ok pizza more thin than thick, great flavor , great toppings and it was quick. We love the pizza ! Wings are all baked - they are great ! We wanted extra crispy and they were ! Staff was great ! Walked in and I should have turned around based on the smell of stale beer, but thought I would still give it a chance as we were killing time waiting to go a different restaurant for dinner. Sat down and the bartender older blonde lady, sweatshirt and jeans, asked what we wanted, we said we were looking at the menu listed on the tv of beers, then we mentioned we may want a martini, assuming she was going to get a martini menu or ask what kind of martini we want she just asked if we like vodka or gin in our martini. She then starts making a drink, I don't think anything of this as I thought it may be for someone else and moments later she produces 2 dirty martinis one for me and one for my husband who didn't mention a martini at all. We are trying to be kind so we sip the drinks and order wings which were fatty and not great. We get the bill and it is over $60 for 2 gross martinis that we didn't want and 6 wings. Looking closer she charged us for doubles on the martinis as she said they weren't full enough when originally making them so she added some more. Will not be going back. read more

First time trying this new MP Restuarant and seemed appropriate for National Pizza Day. The food was absolutely delicious! Three of us went and each got a personal pizza and traded slices: BBQ chicken, Philly cheese steak and chicken/bacon/ranch. We also shared a Cheese bread. More than enough food for 3 college students (hard to do) however we did have a few hiccups in service which is why I gave it a 4/5. It was a Sunday around 5pm so there were probably 4 tables of people in the bar. I really think they could use a "seat yourself" sign because we just stood in the entrance for a while before it was said from the bar. 45minutes after ordering, we got the 3 pizzas but when asked about the cheese bread the server apologized as it had not been rung in and would be a few minutes. (It happens nbd but we were hungry) As I said the food was all delicious, fresh and unique. I will definitely be going again but hoping for quicker and more accurate service read more

This is a review of the establishment known as Vin Trofeo's. I rate this place a 4/5 due to the reasons explained below. For everyone who doesn't want to read the review, this is one of the better places in town to eat. I came here two total times. The first I couldn't eat due to a backlog of people, the wait would have been 2 hours before Covid19. The second was when I was able to eat. When you enter the joint, you find a simple look to it. I guess it's minimalistic. Though it could use more decoration. The beer selection is good, this place is good to grab a nice brew. Though, selections for liquor are not as good as the previous bar that VT took over. This place should have a good liquor selection like the last business that occupied that building did. Now for the pizza itself. The pizza is good, quite good. The crust is done nicely, it has decent flavor and it has a nice crisp. The cheese is the strongest part of the pizza that was made. The sauce itself was the weakest point of the pizza, though it was not bad, it did not have the flavor the other portions of the pizza had. The toppings of this Hawaiian pizza were decent. Now I would rate the pizza itself an 8 out of 10. This pizza is very good but it is not quite award winning best in the state kind of pizza. To get there, the sauce has to explode with flavor. The crust needs that little bit of nuanced flavor that top of the line pizzas have. But, this is also the best pizza in town so credit where credit is due. The service itself was adequate. It was neither bad nor good, just neutral. Service would be a 3/5. It earns a 3/5 for meeting general expectations. To make it better, I would say attend to customers more often, guess and read their needs more acutely. Overall a decent place to go. It could be worthy of a 5 but it will take time to get there. Covid doesn't help. Keep working on improvements. Attention to detail is what separates the good from the elite. read more

I stumbled upon Vin Trofeo's while driving through Main Street downtown, and invited a friend to come check it out with me. Boy am I glad I did! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, the architecture was a gorgeous rustic modern, and the pizza had many locally sourced toppings. I noticed a pepperoni and honey pizza, and decided to try the bacon chicken ranch pizza with Alfredo sauce instead, and honey on half. The honey elevated the meat of the pizza to incredible heights, but unfortunately overpowered the cheese and Alfredo, so next time I'll ask for light honey on half. The waitress and owner were both so kind and told us the place has been open for just over a year. My friend and I both had a marvelous time and plan to introduce friends and family to this wonderful little hole in the wall! read more

I hate that I can't complain about the food because honestly it is SO good! The service makes me not come back though. I have walked out of this restaurant before because I was not helped but the first time I ate here it was good. Service is just HORRIFIC. It is never too busy but the staff is so incredibly slow and you don't seem to be helped in an efficient amount of time unless ur sitting at the bar. It's kind of sad because the restaurant is small so you are still right in front of the staffs face if you aren't at the bar. One thing that somewhat was gross to me was the owner begging us to review his restaurant and rate his pizza on dave portnoy's app. I know he is trying to spread the word but came off a bit desperate especially with how poor the service quality is.
