    Delicious Schnitzel sandwich
    Ben B.

Great food and service. We met a large group of people here for dinner. Our server was excellent and kept everyone happy. We tried the cheese curds and chicken wings for appetizers both were excellent. Burgers were all perfect and the schnitzel sandwich was amazing even the fries were memorable. Overall great experience.

Visited Ascend with my husband for a very late dinner (8 pm) while visiting the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. We were greeted by the hostess who went into a very long/confusing explanation that could be summed up with "They had a list but could not guarantee us a table even if we're put on the list". Ultimately, we asked if we could sit at the bar and were told: "If we could find a seat". The bar was busy but the restaurant seating area was not. Staff appeared to be clearing out tables and chairs, so I am not sure if there was an event although there didn't seem to be one. Nonetheless, we found two seats at the bar that had been recently vacated and needed to be cleaned. Someone came over and mediocrely cleaned quickly upon our arrival. A bartender greeted us immediately, took our drink orders, and gave us menus. The service she delivered during our meal was prompt, accurate, and friendly. The atmosphere at Ascend is great. It's a really nice-looking sports bar/lounge. There are a lot of TVs, as well as a very large projection TV showing various sports. The BIG downside is the food. It looks WAY better than it actually tastes, and given that it's not good, it's also pricey. My husband and I ordered pickle fries (app), and burgers/fries. The food arrived quickly and was hot, but nothing that we ate was fresh in that it was all freezer food. The pickle fries were good because even bad fried pickles are still good but you don't get a lot for the price. The burgers looked good but were not good, frozen premade patties and they taste like it. They were edible but not good. The fries had a lot of seasoning which we liked because without it they wouldn't be good at all. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Ascend, which is too bad because the atmosphere is great but the menu/food leaves A LOT to be desired.

This restaurant inside of the casino is off the hook. First thing we noticed was the electronic ticker around the restaurant giving the sport stats. We were offered a half an hour for a table but we could sit at the bar and order food so we picked that option. The staff came right out from around the bar, and wiped down the surface, passed out menus, and took our drink order right away. Prices were affordable and the drinks strong. We did try our hand at the bar top gambling video machine and did NOT hit the millions but did get to play for 1/2 hour on $20.00 so it was entertaining. The bathrooms are in the back corner of the restaurant. You have to go out of the restaurant, into the hallway of the casino to use the bathroom, but they were extremely clean and convenient. We were able to order two entrees, two drinks, leave a tip and stay within $60.00. we actually came back after our concert to have a burger and enjoy some free entertainment. I very much liked this place. It was clean, comfortable and a perfect spot to be.

    Father's Day burger.

Nice beer selection of craft beers. Responsible priced items. Great atmosphere. Friendly servers.

Always pretty very about Casino food. But luckily ascend opened and we were able to dying here. Started out with the brisket nachos plenty enough for a table of 4 to split this thing is huge. My husband had the bacon burger with fries was cooked perfectly. I went for the appetizer platter everything was spot-on. Service was great.

The aioli and sweet soy was a great complement to the perfectly cooked, juicy bites of fried chicken. Meals: YES, there was just two of us and YES we got three meals, soup and an app. The menu is outstandingly elevated, packed with creativity and flavor profiles. We chose the Venison Chili to start and wow, it was amazing. Our meals were 1. Southern Mac 9/10: not our favorite due to the cheese sauce, but the flavors overall were spot on, noodles perfect, spicy jalapeños and the pickled onion was a perfect touch. 2. Steak Dinner: this is the meal that made me ask who the Chef here is! 100000/10! Most amazing, juicy, tender and flavorful steak I've ever had. I asked for a side of the truffle garlic aioli because I wanted to try it, the steak didn't need a darn thing (although I did take the horseradish aioli home to try and replicate!) The sides were perfect, the veggies and the potatoes - yum. The house made sauces were amazing but for only dunkin' those potatoes - don't ruin a good steak with sauce. Seriously, it's that good. 3. Gyro Lamb Burger: 10/10! The lamb was juicy, the homemade tzatziki was so darn flavorful and the cucumbers were crisp and fresh. Dessert: leftovers, and our delicious drinks from the bar - we didn't have a bite to spare in our stomach's. Hats off to the chef and team who created this menu! We drove almost an hour to come here based on your Google reviews alone and it was worth every second of the long rainy drive! We will absolutely be back. This is a level of service and food you need to tell your friends about.

They were also doing a deal on their mocktails for dry January, which I thought was cool. The menu is pretty varied with lots of options for meat-eaters--I wouldn't come here if you're vegan or vegetarian. Entrees get a bit pricey (their steak frites is $49), but sandwiches are around $15-$18 and come with fries. I ordered the pesto chicken wrap with a side of mac and cheese instead of fries. My friend got the chicken and chorizo nachos and we decided to split them half and half. Our food came out quickly and looked really good! The wrap was tasty but I couldn't really taste the pistachio pesto. The mac and cheese was incredible--super cheesy, perfectly cooked cavatappi noodles, and very flavorful. I'm really glad I upgraded to that and would even consider getting the full entree size in the future. The nachos were pretty loaded, and a generous portion. I liked all the toppings but didn't really taste much chorizo. These would be a good starter for a group. Overall a very good experience and I would come back.

There are multiple curved booths with soft cushioning that feel like something out of a classic movie. Multiple portraits of old time stars on the wall complete the theme. Our server (Maria) was absolutely delightful. She had a large group to keep up with at the same time we were visiting and she did a fantastic job making sure that we were OK too. We started with around of their bread and a bowl of lobster bisque. I was very pleased at the generous helping of lobster made in the bowl, and they expert preparation of the soup. The bread was soft with a crisp crust, and was brought out with whipped butter. The mushroom duck entrée was magnificent also. Duck can be very tricky to prepare, and this cut was well done without being overcooked or overseasened. The fingerling potatoes were also perfectly finished. I finished with a crème brûlée which was perfect with a nice light sugar crust on top that wasn't over prepared. The drink menu is extensive and whoever's preparing the drinks knows what they're doing. I would definitely come back!

Our server was really sweet and gave us plenty of time to catch up and browse the menu. We started with an order of cabin sticks, which are cheese filled breadsticks. Their ranch is famous apparently (you can get a giant container of it to take home), and it was pretty tasty. I liked that the cabin sticks were cut into chunks so it was easy to share with the group. Nate and I got the classic pizza, with pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, onions, black olives, and mushrooms. Our food came out quickly and the pizza was completely covered with toppings! The crust was thicker than I typically prefer, but it was needed to hold up all those toppings. The sauce wasn't too sweet and the medium size was perfect for us to have some left over for the next day. If you're craving pizza, definitely check out The Cabin!
