When I got home (45 minutes away) lo and behold, no carrots, celery or bleu cheese and the smallest "wing" I've ever seen. Some didn't even have meat on them. While in town for a basketball tournament, I popped in with a few of the other parents. Normally, BDubs is pretty clutch but this location was a disappointing experience. Our waitress Emma was super slow, she never came to the table and when she did she stayed for maybe 1 minute and we had to flag her back down to get refills. I have never had a great experience at BWW. Ok....in the newer venues, but this Mt. Pleadant location is dank, run down and dirty. The managers are extremely rude. A "manager" came and gave me an CIA interview after they seated us and we recieved the first round of service. Questioning whether our tiney pomerarian qualified as a service dog! Been in town for 4 days, no other establishment acted this way. Kicked us out. I cannot recomend this place on so many levels! read more

Most everyone ordered wings...later that evening all folks who ate wings ended up nauseous, vomiting, and/or with diarrhea as opposed to those who ate hamburgers or salads. Visited on a Saturday afternoon prior to a wedding. This location is a smaller location than others I've been to, but has all the classics. There was a musty smell when we walked in, but it was just in the entry way. The place wasn't busy and we were seated quickly. It took a while for our waitress to appear. This is the best BW location by far. I"m from down state where there are several BWs and non of them compare to this location. Food is amazing and the wait staff is always fast and friendly. Their crispy chicken tenders and great, and it seems like they are freshly battered now. Also the new-ish All American Cheeseburger has a great a great sear and awesome seasoning. The boneless wings were alright, not a lot of sauce, but the burger ended up giving my boyfriend food poisoning, resulting in a night full of puking and stomach pain. Server was nice but had a very dry personality. Host was also very nice and quick to get to us. We sat outside next to a table of Bdubs workers who were not on the clock. Their server who obviously works with them was clocked in but was taking shots, sipping on one of their drinks, or eating someone's food. Normally I don't review chains but the service on Friday night at the Mt Pleasant BWW was so great I had to make an exception! The hostess and manager up front were both very kind, acknowledged us right away and got us seated very quickly even though they were swamped. Our server Brittany was perfect, stopped by just the right amount of times - without being overbearing or making us feel neglected. She timed everything out well and split the checks correctly. Our food came out hot and clearly fresh! I can be a little particular about my food and drink and asked for minor special requests, all of which came out correctly and I was not charged for. I've always been a fan of this location but they went up a few notches, for a busy Friday night they killed it. Very pleased. read more

I love this BWW location, always a pleasure to see the friendly staff and know a great meal lies ahead. Speed is definitely not an issue here, I go several times as a customer and as delivery personnel for an outside company always less than 20 minutes on a food wait. Chicken came out crisp, well coated, and the sauce packed in flavor. Dessert came out shortly after ordering and it was served just as asked, hot if necessary. Everything was good. There was a ton of people waiting for tables but everyone was seated quickly (within 10 minutes). It was busy for a Saturday night so it took probably a half hour to receive our food. read more

I never seem to learn. We were driving back from Traverse City and needed to stop for lunch, so we got off in Mt. Pleasant. Driving along the business loop all we saw was fast food, and as we were growing hungrier by the minute, we stopped at BWW. I mean, how bad could it be? The plusses: Wonderful waitress. Very friendly and attentive. Fast service. The manager dropped by the table to see how we were doing. Outdoor seating. The french fries were pretty decent. The minuses: Everything else. This is the first time I've seen a chain restaurant deliver a hamburger that was close to inedible. The "freshly made cole slaw" on the fish taco was just shredded cabbage. The "pico de gallo" was just chopped tomatoes and onions. When you walk into a restaurant dominated by a bar and wall-to-wall TVs, you should realize that it's not about the food. It's a hangout for ADHD alcoholics who need a mixture of continuous outside stimulation to occupy their mind and a continuous stream of alcohol to deaden it. Food is just incidental. read more

A Bdubs, is a Bdubs, is a Bdubs. You always know what you're getting - TV's, sports, beer, and wings - and it's always pretty good. This one, though, used to be different. Back in the day (ha) when I was a student at CMU, I adored this location because it was smaller and just had a more down-home, neighborhood bar feel than the big sprawling, commercialized-feeling Bdubs of back home. My friends used to gather here frequently for Wednesday night karaoke (I know, what BWW does karaoke?! this one used to), and electronic trivia any night of the week. The seating was comprised mostly of high tops, and long shared tables, giving the place a feel that distinctly said more "bar" than "restaurant." Recently on a visit back to campus, I stopped in for old time's sake, and found it to be just not the same. It's still good, but it's lost a lot of what set it apart from the rest of the Bdubs pack. Walking in, a hostess will greet and seat you. There's still a section of high tops, but a lot of it has been replaced by lower tables and brighter lighting, which gives it more of the casual restaurant feel. While trivia is still available, the karaoke night is gone. It was still a good meal and a good time. But I'll always think back to the good old days.... read more
