Ah the resort buffet for your all of your breakfast and dinner needs. Yes you are going to pay more than you would pay compared to Golden Corral, Old Country Buffet, or any Chinese buffet for the same quality/quantity of food, but you are at a resort and you always pay more when you visit, which is expected. As for the good, it's pretty good for what you pay for. The kiddos love the Mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, rolls, pasta and peas, as well as the desserts. Cause kids just live and thrive off of that type of food. So when you take your kids here they will be full and happy. For the parents, there is also plenty to choose from depending on the day and time. For breakfast, it's your typical super expanded breakfast experience of Eggs, pancakes, bacon, waffles, omelettes, cereal, you name it from a typical American breakfast and boom it will be here. For dinner you can range from prime rib (which is great), salads, pasta, Salmon, chicken, soups, meatballs, bbq ribs and brisket. Service is good depending on how busy they are. Great service if the place is half full, ok service if they are packed, which is to be expected. Overall, if you are fine eating at the resort this is the place to be. If not you are literally minutes from the rest of Grapevine by ride share, or a quick drive. If you are here you should at least try it once, and if you leave hungry, you are not doing it right. read more

Convenient only. Not a "good" breakfast spot but will certainly do the trick if you have big eaters looking for quantity. For those entertaining littles you don't really get the value of a buffet and your money can go farther elsewhere. Buffet has your typical guest, fruit, potatoes, pancakes, omelette bar etc. They also had some chef items like Chilaquiles. The buffet is a solid three. Dining with little kids I didn't feel the value was there for the prepaid breakfast I opted for but if I had big eaters, I definitely take the all you can eat option just to fill up the belly before play and get the high price tag out of it. Recommend booking your time in advance via Yelp. Service was nice, area clean, and again the most convenient breakfast option around. read more

You know what, any and every bad review I read about this place, it's almost as if it was written by one of the absolutely terrible families that decides to eat here and act entitled. Don't act like that. Most of the rest of us don't want to expose our families to your tirade of BS. Let's put it this way: the service and the quality of the food are absolutely on par with a four-star family place. People who seat you bring you to excellent wait staff who really do go above and being to make sure you have a nice meal and keep your drinks full. You need to come down and set a reservation first, then you wait a little bit, and you get a text saying you are ready. It's that easy. There's no need for people to act like they do. But, this is the world we live in. Tip accordingly. This is an excellent place to eat with excellent and tasty choices. read more

The food is decent. We went there for dinner buffet that begins at 5 PM and the cost is 25.99$ with drinks per person. I like the brisket, the grilled salmon, the macaroni and cheese, the cream corn, dinner rolls with butter. For desserts I like the buttermilk pie and the bread pudding. The servers will attend to you quickly and made sure that after every plate you used they took away your plate right away and the iced tea is always refilled. They need to make sure that the floor and tables are clean and not sticky. read more

For a restaurant inside of a waterpark, we had fun. After speaking with the chef, they were able to accommodate my son's food allergies well with a variety of options. The waiter was attentive and made sure we never ran out of our beverages. There was a character appearance during the meal too, so that was fun. Omelet station is 1st class. The chef there & the wait staff do take CASH tips. This resort has you pay everything with card or room charge so we didn't have tip money, but they were deserved. Loose Moose along with the rest of resorts theme is right in line & quite cute. read more

Lots of fun! Absolutely must make a reservation while staying at the wolf lodge to come in for their breakfast. Do so and you get seated quickly, order your drinks then you're off to the breakfast buffet! Taste is about what you'd expect but their large selection of items makes it all worth it. Very nice! We made reservations for a Christmas Day brunch at noon a week in advance. We were informed at 12:15 that the wait would be at least an hour! Obvious bad management when a restaurant can't operate a brunch and have the food prepared on time! My grandchildren are young and can't be expected to wait that long. Being a national chain, desired better treatment than this and have no plans to ever return to any Great Wolf lodge as it appears to be a setup to disappoint our grandkids! read more

Though it's nice to have a breakfast buffet in the same hotel that you are staying, the quality of the food compared to the price doesn't add up. Also the pre reservation service never worked well either. They also took away the characters meet and greet. If they make some necessary changes, maybe this can be a good breakfast area again. read more

The food is decent, but there are not any gluten free options. Some of the service is okay, but it depends on who you get as some will ignore you and others will dote on you. I do believe the Hostess area should do more to accommodate customers with disabilities rather than waiters saying "you're fine," when clearly a booth is difficult to maneuver in a wheelchair. The decorations are quite nice and the ambiance is reminiscent of Las Vegas but with a cabin feel. Waiters or waitresses are supposed to refill drinks; however, this does not occur all the time. In fact, those bussing the tables will pick up dirty plates more often than you will see the waiter or waitress. read more

Insanely overpriced for the setting. Guests are already paying resort fees, paying for access to the facilities (water park, rope course, etc), on top of their hotel stay. It's ridiculous to have to pay $20 and up for a meal per family member irrespective of age. read more

At breakfast today, we ate at the loose moose and was told to come back for the dinner buffet as the overall cost is way better than the other restaurants At GWL. We were told, after the waitress went to confirm price, that it would be $25/adult and $10/child. So we canceled our other reservation to come for dinner. Food was okay, much like what you get at the Golden Corral. When we got the bill, we nearly fell out of our chairs! $45/adult for the buffet and $17/child. They said it was a special holiday buffet and that they had a sign posted at entrance. When we went to look for sign, it was in small print at the bottom of the sign, however, the sign was not in a location where anyone would see it entering in, much less a sign with small print. The cost of that meal was almost more than our entire meal pass that we had gotten! I had to go up to multiple levels of management to at least get 1 of the meals compted, but still, they should have given the originally quoted price. Very disappointing to spend that much money on a plate a Golden Corral food. read more

Breakfast was good. A ton of stuff was overcooked. But dinner is my main concern. My husband got food poisoning from eating dinner at this restaurant. A ton of stuff was undercooked or overcooked. There was also items at dinner that were left unattended for guest to eat that looks like it's been sitting there since breakfast. There are certain temperatures meats and other foods are supposed to be kept to prevent contamination and one item I can say that was not upto health department standards was the cauliflower. I recently dined at a GFW, and I must say, the experience left much to be desired. The food was disappointingly bland, lacking the flavors and spices one would expect. To make matters worse, the prices were exorbitant, leaving me with a hefty bill that did not align with the quality of the meal. Not only that, but the restaurant also managed to run out of forks, which led to a frustrating dining experience. To add insult to injury, they couldn't even provide a simple glass of orange juice, which was rather surprising. Get there when they open at 7! Spotless, food is hot and fresh. Skip the powdered eggs on the buffet line and request eggs from the omlette line. Raspberries and blueberries were bright and fresh, chicken sausage was a nice surprise, skillet potatoes were tasty, banana bread, lovely. By 7:45 there were (gross coughing) kids pawing the utensils and cranky demanding parents. Gym at 6a, breakfast at 7a is the way to go. Only negative was the paper straws. It's like a street vendor feel in a small restaurant space. It's a smaller place and the 5-6 tables. There's also high top seating around the glass to add a few more chairs. But the spaces filled up quick during lunch and I can see it being a bit crazy at peak times. One treasure I found was a side order of Kimchee ($1.49) to add with your meal and I will tell you I'd go back just for that. My entree was the Bibim Bop for $12; wife got the chicken and shrimp for $15 and my daughter got the poke bowl for $13. We also got some gyoza dumplings (4) for $2.49. Side of white rice and a fountain drink go for $2 each. They also give you the two sauces with the meal just like the full-service hibachi places. The Bibim seems to be a little lacking in the protein. Could have used a little more bulgogi in there I thought instead of being overloaded with other items. My daughter's bowl, the fish, seemed to be clean and tasty albeit a very simplified version. My wife's was the biggest disappointment of the day as the chicken was dry, which isn't surprising since chicken always seems to be hard for hibachi to be tender. Shrimp were good, with tail on. I thought the noodles my wife ordered with it were ok as well. You can't go to this chain, quick-prep place and expect super high-end but for a quick stop and a pretty decent representation of hibachi styles it more than holds its own. It was just under $60 with tip and so I wouldn't call it a steal of a deal either. But I'd say fair value and fast service. Do yourself a favor and try that side of kimchee.
