The manager was so friendly and came out to our table to ask about our food if it was ok and to our satisfaction. She spoke Spanish and carried on a very sweet conversation with my elderly mom. This particular Pei Wei, is a new build, to replace the one that used to be in Highland Village. It is very up-to-date and modern in appearance. Clean, well maintain and has excellent outside lighting. Additionally, there is outside seating. This is my first time at this location, as I moved to Grapevine from Flower Mound about four years ago. The service was excellent! My General Tao spicy chicken came out exactly the way I custom order it. Though I did not get any of these this time, their edamame, egg rolls, and wontons are always excellent! As is literally everything else on the menu, and you can custom make any of it! Parking was a little frustrating, as for some reason, the shopping center gave the Imaging place a whole bunch of upfront spots, more than I believe they really need, making a little difficult to park at the Pei Wei... but not really that difficult! On the final note, Pei Wei is my favorite place! However, I think with the last price increase, they are overpriced. Having the app helps, when they run specials, which isn't nearly as often as it was in the past! I would be eating here two or three times a week if it wasn't for the price ! I had not eaten at a Pei Wei in a while. I ended up ordering the Kung Pao Chicken. There were many options so it took me some time to decide. I was very pleased with my order. The chicken was lightly breaded and the sauce had an excellent savory flavor. The vegetables and peanuts broke up the taste. The brown rice was perfectly prepared. I will come back again soon to try another one of the dishes. The person at the counter was friendly and our food was delivered to our table. We did not have to wait long. read more

Traveling and got take out Mongolian Steak w/fried rice. Service was fine, could not pay with cash, "no change she said", but doubt that was the case when I handed her a $20 bill based by the look on her face when she realized she had to make change. As this location is smaller than the former Highland Village location, they may be focusing on takeout. The restaurant appeared to have about a dozen tables. I noticed a lot of folks come inside to get their takeout. Other than myself, there were only a couple other folks dining inside. I wanted something spicy, so I got the Spicy General Tso's Chicken with brown rice. At three peppers, it was one of their spiciest. While there was no wait to place my order at the counter, it took about 20 minutes to come out. The food was appropriately spicy as I was still able to taste it. Unfortunately, the sesame sauce had started to congeal at one end of the bowl. I wanted to throw away the soiled napkins on my way out. Decided to try Pei Wei for the first time today and was highly disappointed. Food quality & prices are completely uncorrelated. Paid $50 for 2 entrees, 4 wontons & 2 drinks. The fire cracker shrimp tasted like sea water. The fried rice I was upcharged by nearly $4 tasted how I would expect if someone were to step in it. The only thing positive I can say about the experience was the severs. They were very friendly & helpful with making my decision on my order. The previous location was a place you could actually sit down and enjoy eating. The staff was a bit more interested in customer service. This new location is no different than a Panda Express. The customer service is poor and the atmosphere feels like a Wendy's. The food is still OK on the rare occasion they fill the order accurately. read more
