If you've even been following me, I am not a fan of 1 star reviews unless it is deserved. So the one star goes to the lady that kept checking on us. Bless you April, because there was nothing you could do. Let's see, the buffet... (we were talked into it... because everything on the menu was in the bar)... the salad lettuce looked so good, offered few salad toppings/veggies. When I sat down to eat the salad, it was as if I picked it from the garden myself. A mouthful of dirty lettuce. The coleslaw looks pretty too, but was bland. So many things were dried out! I thought the enchiladas was a dried up sweet potato casserole. All the meats were dried, the Mac n cheese was so dry it looked like uncooked noodles. The things that were decent: green beans and banana pudding. Worth going to get another plate, catfish and ribs. Margarine instead of butter. The honey packets are bricks And for a catfish place, there is no vinegar Or Tabasco... is this even the south? Maybe these good reviews are on the weekend, but this Wednesday church dinner night was a BUST. Peace out!

Her menu knowledge was exceptional, and she confidently answered every question we had with professionalism and genuine enthusiasm. She recommended the Lobster Cargo with sourdough bread to start, followed by the Kirby's Chopped Salad, the sea bass, the Pepper Filet, the au gratin potatoes, and the fried asparagus. Every single recommendation was incredible. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the flavor profiles were absolutely outstanding. What truly made the evening unforgettable was Katelyn's service. She has such a warm, bubbly personality and kept a smile on her face the entire evening. She was attentive without ever being overbearing, and our drinks never went empty. To top it all off, she surprised us with the most amazing brûléed cheesecake to celebrate our engagement, complete with a beautifully handwritten message on the plate. It was such a thoughtful touch that made an already incredible evening even more special. Katelyn truly made our celebration unforgettable, and she is, hands down, the best server we've ever had. We will absolutely be back to see Miss Katelyn again. If you're dining at Kirby's, do yourself a favor and request her--you won't be disappointed. Five stars all around!
