Father's Day dinner time at LongHorns and of course they were packed. We utilized the mobile wait list and it definitely made a difference in our wait time. I just had the best steak at Longhorns that I have had in a while! I ordered the 6 oz Renegade which is a top sirloin since it's a leaner steak and I don't like a fatty piece of meat. I order my steaks cooked medium with a little Prairie Dust on the side , Ilike to sprinkle a bit on my baked potato and a little extra on my steak. My steak was so tender and flavorful that I could not believe it was the Renegade, it practically melted in my mouth! The salad was fresh and crisp, loaded baked potato was done to perfection. My husband and I typically come to this Longhorn on Thursday night. When we walk in, we are always greeted by an amicable hostess. If there is no bar seating available, we have sat in the dining room a few times. Regardless of how busy they are, we have never waited over 10 minutes to be seated. The entire staff is friendly and professional. The service tends to be a tad slow in the dining area, so we prefer to sit at the bar. Not only can we watch the game in the bar area, but the bartenders give give top notch service and make very good drinks. My go-to drink is a lemon drop martini, and my husband always orders an old-fashioned. If we get an appetizer, our favorite is the wild west shrimp. I love that I can order my dishes altered, and they always get it right. My go-to dishes are the Redrock Grilled Shrimp, or I order the Mixed Greens Salad with Salmon. My husband likes the same dishes, but he also enjoys ordering their Renegade Sirloin. Everything we order has always come out hot and fresh consistently. This Longhorn is by far the best chain restaurant in the area, in regards to both food and service. The food was fine, but the food is also fine at the other steakhouses in town. My issue was with the blonde female manager, who has no concept of customer service. I brought an issue to her attention, and I didn't even get an apology. I received a smirk look and an "okay. Thank you for letting me know" that carried an attitude. A simple " I'm so sorry, I'll look into that" with some genuine care would have sufficed. It was a real turn off. So I emailed Longhorn corporate to let them know, received a response stating that they understood and we're sorry, but that the operating partner would be emailing me. That was a week ago and not a peep from him. Problems do usually start at the top. There's been other issues with service before and some really good experiences but this visit really will make me question where I go next time. read more

Horrible customer service. Spoke with the manager Mr. Martin, what a poor job at handling a customer. I called to place an order, I was left on hold for about 4 minutes then the call hung up. I called again, explained the situation & was treated with low disregard. I asked for the manager to see how I can place my order and he refused to help, stating we need to come in and place an order with such attitude! I was trying to explain our frustration and that we just wanted to place an order for pick up because while trying to order online everything states it's "unavailable." Terrible experience. Getting into the booth with the sunken seat. The flatware was nasty so I requested a fresh set. We ordered water with lemon and told waiter that we were ready to order. I took him a long time to bring our water. I ordered my salad with dressing on the side because I dip my greens and use very little dressing. My salad came soaked in dressing. Then when we finally got our food my Medium Steak was well done. Another waiter said he would get me one in five minutes. 10 minutes later the Manager came out and said I would have my steak in 2 minutes. Another 10 minutes passed and finally my food was delivered. My husband had already finished his meal. Manager said he would adjust our check. He took off 25% He should have comped my meal . Then the waiter my husband's credit card to settle the check. But instead of bringing it right back, he was delivering food to other tables and then he was taking orders for a new table. It has been a very long time since I wrote a review for Longhorns but it must be done. My wife had the filet and the last thing you expect in a filet is "grizzle". This 6 ounce steak ended up with about three ounces of edible beef. I had the same encounter with the sirloin. Server offered to bring different steaks but by this time we had worked around the grizzle and another steak would have been wasted. No empty water glass, frequently checking- in (but not too much) and good communication about food preparation status. Now, to the food! Ordered the 20 ounce bone-in Outlaw ribeye medium with one side baked potato and a default (house) salad and bread. The steak's appearance was EXCELLENT, like in a commercial. Minimal gristle. Maybe a bit on the medium rare side but it was superb! The salad was just perfect with diced cucumbers and tomatoes, grated cheese, crotons, and dressing. The baked potato was good. Definitely will try more of these restaurants after such a great first impression. How do run out of chairs? Took an hour and some change to get our food in which I noticed families that arrived after us and got their food and checked out. We had a wonderful waitress (Courtney) who attempted three times to check on our food from the cook?? One of my family members had to intervene & speak with the manager. Received our food after the manager said something to the cook. 3 out of 5 main orders were cold. Manager gave us 25% off from our ticket and my wife's meal free due to the service. The service is mid, we called in for ten people and the lady over the phone heard two, so when we got there we had to wait an whole hour until they had a table for ten people!
