This is hands down my husband and I's favorite steakhouse in middle GA! We've celebrated our birthdays, Valentine's Day, anniversaries, & more at BC. Please be prepared to eat your heart out, receive excellent customer service (btw- we've never had an issue with our order), & enjoy the quaint ambiance. As you can tell, I'm obsessed with this place & you will to! Please get yourself a steak & enjoy :)

I stumbled across this place when I ran into a drunk guy named TC who "highly" recommeded Circa. So, being that TC grew up here and "knew everyone" I took him up on the reference and snagged myself a seat at the bar (post workout and starving) The bar areanis small but nice! Full bar and a TV to keep you entertained. The specialty drinks are quite delicious (incase you were wondering) As I was sitting there I spied a giant delicious looking sushi roll.... So I ordered it (to eat for lunch the next day) and then I ordered the filet with broccoli. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection (I asked for rare) and the broccoli was a beautiful, fresh, crisp head that was very flavorful. Back to the sushi.... It didn't make it to lunch the following day. I made the mistake of trying a piece when I got back to my hotel...and then I ate it all So yeah, I'll definitely be coming back here.

My sister's birthday celebration was here last night. We had a ton of good food and fun. Our server Ashley was magnificent. All of the dishes we had were really good from the sushi, lobster dip, shrimp and crab dip, lamb chops, shrimp pasta, crab cakes, and salmon just to name a few. The adult beverages were great as well. Thank you Circa for helping make this event memorable.

My wife and I decided to celebrate our Anniversary dinner here at Brasserie Circa. First time eating here and it was definitely not a disappointment. I had one of the specials for the night (Chilean Sea Bass with Risotto), my wife had the Penne Siciliana, and for dessert we shared the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfect. Pan seared crusted outside with a warm flakey but juicy in side, paired with the scallion and red pepper risotto was just a mouth watering dish that no one should pass up on if given the chance. Do pass up on the side sauce with parm and cappers. That gave it the perfect bite to the whole dish. The Penne Siciliana was one of the best pasta we've had. The perfect al dente penne with the savory sauce flavored with fresh delicious mushrooms, roasted red peppers and perfectly cooked blackened chicken made us keep going in for another bite. As good as the pasta dish is, you could not forget to dab the sauce up with the delicious Ciabatta toast point that was perfectly seasoned and toasted to leave a delightful crunch on the outside but a soft warm inside that just soaks up the sauce. The Crème Brûlée Cheesecake was the best way to end the meal. The fresh fruits and whip cream cradling a creamy cheesecake with a delicious crust and topped with mouth watering caramel sauce. This meal was worth it all. It may have been our first time here but it definitely won't be our last.

Good food but good Lord, if you aren't a bougie af north Maconite then you'll be treated like you aren't wanted here. Hostess: "we don't have any tables right now" Seriously? Okay. Well, how long until you DO have a table then, honey? Isn't that how it works at restaurants. After slamming books around for a minute she then magically finds a table but again tries to discourage us by saying "but it's right in the middle of everything". We'll take it. This treatment continued through the night. I mean, we took baths and all so I guess we didn't look dirty but maybe we smelled like poor people??? I don't know. Anyway, give it a shot. It's comical, at least.

Pretty underwhelming. Crab cakes were ok. Sushi was decent. Wish they had more non-tempura options. Ginger was actually really delicious. Dressing on the Brasserie salad had no bite and was way too sweet. Lobster ravioli were not so good. Bread was the white spongy kind. I wish they served some sort of more interesting whole grain. Greens in the side salad were pretty witty and veggies were not in season. Carrots or radishes would have been a better choice.

I love going to circa only for the food. I just wish the service there was better. They need to train their server to do basic server jobs.

Not much going on behind the menu. The staff is young and mediocre. I'll pass in the future.

Waited about 15 mins to be seated and it seemed there was 2 servers and 1 chef. The menu they give you is outdated and doesn't reflect their website menu, they do have everything on their website but weird they don't show it. Server was all over and not super attentive but got the job done enough. Chef was friendly. The food was average the salad didn't have the classic ginger dressing which was weird and for the classic fried rice everything was uncharged. At the end we ended up having to grab our own boxes and had to ask 4 separate times for to go sauces.

I…read morehave Yelp to thank for this life update, while in town casually strolling to see what grocery stores Macon had, it popped up in my search. When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. There were so many unique, better for you options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I grabbed a bag of herb-seasoned popcorn on a whim and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 10 out of 10. The store itself is quaint, but don't let the size fool you I easily spent an hour exploring, especially the seasonal items. Between the fresh flowers, quality products, and overall inviting vibe, this place is officially back in my rotation. It may be "close ish," but it's absolutely worth the trip.

Tucked away in a alley off 2nd Street in downtown Macon. Tokyo Alley feels like one of those "if…read moreyou know, you know" kind of spots. Thankfully, it's just a short stroll down the alley and you're greeted by a quaint exterior that already sets the tone. We were in the area on a Saturday night, and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was packed. Inside, the ambiance is intimate and cozy, perfect for date night or a low-key evening out. Despite its small size, they've managed to make great use of the space and accommodate a solid crowd without it feeling overwhelming. We didn't make reservations, and although the wait wasn't bad at all, we decided to order to go instead. The woman at the front was friendly, professional, and kept things moving smoothly while a constant stream of customers walked in as others were checking out. The menu is refreshingly simple. We started with the crispy shrimp roll appetizer, which was a hit. The sauce it came with tasted house made and paired beautifully. For our entrées, we both went with the stir fried veggies with shrimp in garlic sauce. I got mine with noodles and fried rice, while my husband went all in with double rice. The portions were generous, and the veggies were fresh and cooked just right. The garlic sauce, it didn't quite hit the flavor note I was hoping for. And the fried rice? A bit on the bland side. However, the cold noodles that came with my dish was surprisingly tasty (think angel hair pasta tossed in a creamy sauce that somehow just works). Unexpected star of the show. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the portions were solid, and the customer service was great. While everything didn't completely wow me, there's definitely enough potential here to bring me back. Next time, we'll come prepared, make reservations, dine in, and explore more of the menu.
