The food was ok. I had their pork spicy tokubetsu with udon and had good flavor. Being my first time there, the cashier didn't offer my options of protein or noddles. There was no customer service. The tables were also no cleaned from previous diners with food scraps on the floor. Some napkin dispensers were out of napkins. You are also ask to clean up after yourself when done. The bowl came out fast so must be instant ramen/udon noddles. This place has so much potential but needs to fix cleaning/customer service. read more

I truly wanted this to be an authentic Japanese eatery, as the sign says. Instead it was a sad bowl of overly "sweet" tofu in a Ramen bowl. Noodles don't seem handmade either. We stopped by for lunch. There are plenty of parking spaces outside, inner deco is traditional Japanese. The service was quick and courteous. We ordered JAPANESE KARE MAZEMEN chicken with ramen and Tammi Pork Chashu with rice, etc. They were all very delicious, the pork Chashu was literally melted in mouse, I liked it, but chicken was on the dry side, while ramen was tasty. I went in with small expectations since Macon isn't a hot spot for Asian food offerings...but given that, this place was a nice surprise. Service was very nice, food came out quickly and everything had solid flavors, the spicy broth was actually spicy. Only thing I would say I wasn't a fan of were the eggs. Always hard to decide on dinner when traveling for work. Stumbled upon Tenmii & was so impressed by the reviews that I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. It's a small fast casual eatery with some booth seating and small tables. It was obvious that there were several regulars dining there based their banter with the staff. My server was very knowledge and attentive, checking in on me several times. My chicken kare was a very generous portion and very flavorful. Absolutely not. Yall Maconites must be desperate if you consider this place good Japanese. 1. Enough rice to take out a panda Yeah I get it. The base is rice but there was so much rice and it was bland and must be rice that was supposed to go into dog food. 2. The 4 slices of cucumber ain't it. There were so veggies i was embarrassed for then. 4 slices of cucumber and 6 slivers of what i believe to be daikon but maybe it was onion? Who knows. Im so serious too. 3. Southern mayo in a "Japanese slaw" is not a fusion a normal person would request. So the two tablespoons of slaw was drowned in this tasteless mayo. Oh no - it was NOT "yummy sauce" or whatever tragic southern-japanese fusion you trick yourself into liking. It was greasy gross white slime with no flavor 4. Risk the tofu but dont risk it on low quality meat. When you have no idea about the quality of meat/seafood, esp with Asian cuisine (hello - how do you think 'bathroom shrimp' term was created), the safest protein bet is tofu. Idc if youre not plant based - its just less risky with bacteria to order tofu. With all the other sub quality food, better try the tofu to be safe bc i would trust it here given the quality of the rice and veggies. I stopped here on my way to SD and needed help understanding the ordering process. I didn't know you ordered at the front, so I stood there waiting for my table when the lady told me I ordered upfront. The menu was confusing, and I finally asked her to tell me her favorite dish. While we were visiting Macon for the Cherry Blossom festival, we wanted to eat something before going back to Atlanta. My husband wanted sushi but we were not familiar with the area. Thanks to Yelp, we found this place. They didn't have any sushi but they had several options. The young lady behind the counter asked us if this was our first. Chashu pork got my attention! My husband has it with rice and I had it with udon. As an appetizer, we had Sakura ebi, which was crispy and yummy. The place is clean and cute. I've eaten here roughly 15 times over the last few years. The food isn't necessarily "authentic" but it's always delicious. I generally order the food for delivery. I #1 recommendation would be the pork chashu. I'm generally not a huge fan of pork, but the way they prepare it makes it extremely tender. It has a strong savory and sweet taste. The sando is REALLY good as well, although the chicken is a bit difficult to tear so it can be messy. The fries with furikake seasoning are also really good. Sakura Ebi is a great appetizer. If you want something that's more mild, the chicken donburi is a good choice. They don't currently offer sushi but it would be great if they do in the future. read more

This place was FANTASTIC! I walked in and was greeted by one of the nicest people ever. He went through the menu with me and explained the idea behind the restaurant. It felt like I was in a little restaurant in Japan. It is order at the counter and they bring it out to the table. The service was quick and pleasant. The chasu pork bowl was amazing with their gingeraki sauce! The only negative I had, was one piece of my pork belly was entirely fat. I know pork belly is really fatty, but that piece had no other contents other than fat. The soba noodles where fantastic as well. This is a relatively new place in North Macon, but it's a great addition to the neighborhood! We have been here a couple of times and always leave full and satisfied. This is a small, quaint Japanese eatery. The owners and the servers have been helpful in talking about the menu and asking if we had any questions. If you haven't had Japanese food before, it's important for someone to explain the menu items. They have chopsticks available as well as regular cutlery. I like using the chopsticks to immerse myself in other cultures. The waitress was so nice and didn't laugh at me trying to use the chopsticks. Everything that we have eaten has been phenomenal! Don't be afraid to try the tofu! It's delicious even for us carnivores. We will definitely be back. read more

Been there a few times. I get tofu dishes, and it's always tasty. The fried tofu is great, but it gets very soggy very quickly both dining in an even worse on takeout. Next time I'll ask them to put the sauces on the side and see how it goes. I also wish they put a few more of the pickled veggies in the bowls. An clean, modern feel with ample lunch fare seating, exposed ceiling and nice lighting. A nice lady, perhaps the manager, rang us up and checked on us as well as sanitize dining area. When I asked for a spicy sauce, she brought a small sample of the Bomb Bomb. It had a great delicate flavor but NOT delicate heat, it is not for the faint, and we loved it! The items we did order were executed very well; fresh and not leaving us weighed down. The soba noodle "salad" could use a little extra love, like garnish, sauce, and/or even seaweed. It seems like it's an endless pit of perfectly cooked noodles, and then all of sudden they are gone! The breading and tenderness of the Chicken Kare, cook on rice, and the flavor of the sauce was outstanding. I will try out again, maybe with a little extra garnish on top? :) read more
