Chicken and Rice bowl.
Yolanda S.

I ordered the chicken and rice bowl and the tempura vegetables to go. My total was $16 and some change. The cashier at the front was friendly. The tempura was delicious. The tempura sauce was slightly sweet and went well with the tempura. The tempura was crisp and I could tell the vegetables were fresh. They also gave 10 large pieces for $5.95 which is the best I've ever seen anywhere for the amount of tempura they gjve you. The chicken and rice bowl was a large quantity. Much larger than any plate you would get for similar anywhere else. I paid $8.95 for the plate. I could tell the rice and chicken were fresh prepared. However... the chicken and rice bowl had very little seasoning. It was freshly made but not very flavorful. So I suggest you bring your own seasoning. Unfortunately, after eating it my stomach started to bubble and I had a terrible case of the.. bubble gut. I was making frequent restroom trips. This is such a normal occurrence with me when I eat Asian food that I actually googled diarrhea and Asian food and per google diarrhea is a common occurrence when eating Asian food. Although not well understood why this happens the medical community notes the link between IBS and eating Chinese/Asian food. It's thought that some people may have a sensitivity to the MSG. Also certain common ingredients in the (chili peppers, etc.) Can cause it. I believe it's the msg.. I eat all of the other ingredients frequently and I never have terrible bouts of 'the runs'. I was running to the restroom all that next morning. Repeatedly. So I won't ever order the chicken and rice again. However I will order the tempura. Overall.. the service was wonderful and the food was mid. The portion sizes were large. But seasoning was off with the fried rice and chicken.

The food was done on time. It was ready when I went to pick it up. The place looked clean inside. The tempura was doey and not fried well. The egg roll was burnt. The steak and chicken teriyaki looked delicious but lacked flavor. I will not be going back here and I do not recommend.

This is by far the best hibachi and sushi in our area. The food comes out fast and hot. The customer service is excellent as well.

The service is always quick and friendly and it tastes just like food you'd get at a sit down hibachi restaurant without the price.

Waited about 15 mins to be seated and it seemed there was 2 servers and 1 chef. The menu they give you is outdated and doesn't reflect their website menu, they do have everything on their website but weird they don't show it. Server was all over and not super attentive but got the job done enough. Chef was friendly. The food was average the salad didn't have the classic ginger dressing which was weird and for the classic fried rice everything was uncharged. At the end we ended up having to grab our own boxes and had to ask 4 separate times for to go sauces.

It was one of the 3 days of graduation so it was an understandable wait. My party was of 3 so we did hibachi with 2 more parties and enjoyed it. Server was amazing and the chef was entertaining and I was so thankful he didn't do any tricks with the food. -Hibachi 10/10 everything was seasoned perfectly; the thin noodles were chef's kiss, just wish I got more. -Albany Special Roll 8/10 good just needed another sauce to me; wish the cream cheese was spread instead of one spot -Spider Roll 7/10 fresh & sauces were good - soup & salad 9/10 best soup i ever had Things to Know: -only open for dinner -gratuity included & depends on party number Will definitely return, but would pass on sushi

I've been living in Middle Georgia for three years and somehow just discovered The Fresh Market. I…read morehave Yelp to thank for this life update, while in town casually strolling to see what grocery stores Macon had, it popped up in my search. When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. There were so many unique, better for you options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I grabbed a bag of herb-seasoned popcorn on a whim and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 10 out of 10. The store itself is quaint, but don't let the size fool you I easily spent an hour exploring, especially the seasonal items. Between the fresh flowers, quality products, and overall inviting vibe, this place is officially back in my rotation. It may be "close ish," but it's absolutely worth the trip.

This particular Fresh Market is located in a nice sized shopping plaza, so parking was not an…read moreissue. The service is professional and friendly and it has a nice enough ambiance to it. I picked up some chocolate as a little treat to myself while here. All in all, this was a positive experience.

The ambiance and decor shows an elegant and sophisticated feel. It's hard to find good sushi so when I seen their line up I knew I was going to pass on the pasta and steaks and go right for the sushi. lol The Chef's Selection (assorted sashimi/nigiri) was a bit of a mystery as it didn't explain anything other than it was the chef's selection. I'm always up for an adventure so I went with it. All I can say is wow what a dish. 4 kinds of fish. Hawaiian Butter fish, Yellow Fin, Salmon and Tuna. And so much of it. Four big pieces of each. Luckily there were other Sushi fans at the table so none went to waste. That coupled with good service and awesome cocktails made for a delightful experience. It's on my list for Must Macon stops.

Tucked away in a alley off 2nd Street in downtown Macon. Tokyo Alley feels like one of those "if…read moreyou know, you know" kind of spots. Thankfully, it's just a short stroll down the alley and you're greeted by a quaint exterior that already sets the tone. We were in the area on a Saturday night, and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was packed. Inside, the ambiance is intimate and cozy, perfect for date night or a low-key evening out. Despite its small size, they've managed to make great use of the space and accommodate a solid crowd without it feeling overwhelming. We didn't make reservations, and although the wait wasn't bad at all, we decided to order to go instead. The woman at the front was friendly, professional, and kept things moving smoothly while a constant stream of customers walked in as others were checking out. The menu is refreshingly simple. We started with the crispy shrimp roll appetizer, which was a hit. The sauce it came with tasted house made and paired beautifully. For our entrées, we both went with the stir fried veggies with shrimp in garlic sauce. I got mine with noodles and fried rice, while my husband went all in with double rice. The portions were generous, and the veggies were fresh and cooked just right. The garlic sauce, it didn't quite hit the flavor note I was hoping for. And the fried rice? A bit on the bland side. However, the cold noodles that came with my dish was surprisingly tasty (think angel hair pasta tossed in a creamy sauce that somehow just works). Unexpected star of the show. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the portions were solid, and the customer service was great. While everything didn't completely wow me, there's definitely enough potential here to bring me back. Next time, we'll come prepared, make reservations, dine in, and explore more of the menu.

100% would recommend. Great food, great service. Super cool vibe. Loved it. I'd come back…read moreagain and again.
