I love their chicken teriyaki and stir fried veggies! Great taste at a great price! We will definitely go there when we go to Macon Mall!

Waited about 15 mins to be seated and it seemed there was 2 servers and 1 chef. The menu they give you is outdated and doesn't reflect their website menu, they do have everything on their website but weird they don't show it. Server was all over and not super attentive but got the job done enough. Chef was friendly. The food was average the salad didn't have the classic ginger dressing which was weird and for the classic fried rice everything was uncharged. At the end we ended up having to grab our own boxes and had to ask 4 separate times for to go sauces.

It was one of the 3 days of graduation so it was an understandable wait. My party was of 3 so we did hibachi with 2 more parties and enjoyed it. Server was amazing and the chef was entertaining and I was so thankful he didn't do any tricks with the food. -Hibachi 10/10 everything was seasoned perfectly; the thin noodles were chef's kiss, just wish I got more. -Albany Special Roll 8/10 good just needed another sauce to me; wish the cream cheese was spread instead of one spot -Spider Roll 7/10 fresh & sauces were good - soup & salad 9/10 best soup i ever had Things to Know: -only open for dinner -gratuity included & depends on party number Will definitely return, but would pass on sushi

Tucked away in a alley off 2nd Street in downtown Macon. Tokyo Alley feels like one of those "if…read moreyou know, you know" kind of spots. Thankfully, it's just a short stroll down the alley and you're greeted by a quaint exterior that already sets the tone. We were in the area on a Saturday night, and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was packed. Inside, the ambiance is intimate and cozy, perfect for date night or a low-key evening out. Despite its small size, they've managed to make great use of the space and accommodate a solid crowd without it feeling overwhelming. We didn't make reservations, and although the wait wasn't bad at all, we decided to order to go instead. The woman at the front was friendly, professional, and kept things moving smoothly while a constant stream of customers walked in as others were checking out. The menu is refreshingly simple. We started with the crispy shrimp roll appetizer, which was a hit. The sauce it came with tasted house made and paired beautifully. For our entrées, we both went with the stir fried veggies with shrimp in garlic sauce. I got mine with noodles and fried rice, while my husband went all in with double rice. The portions were generous, and the veggies were fresh and cooked just right. The garlic sauce, it didn't quite hit the flavor note I was hoping for. And the fried rice? A bit on the bland side. However, the cold noodles that came with my dish was surprisingly tasty (think angel hair pasta tossed in a creamy sauce that somehow just works). Unexpected star of the show. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the portions were solid, and the customer service was great. While everything didn't completely wow me, there's definitely enough potential here to bring me back. Next time, we'll come prepared, make reservations, dine in, and explore more of the menu.

100% would recommend. Great food, great service. Super cool vibe. Loved it. I'd come back…read moreagain and again.

Solid menu and…read moredecent prices and honestly what made it a 3 versus the 4 was I found the staff to be lack luster. The waiters were a little gruff with how we split (there was another party in the room who we were not dining with but got sat with us) and then I found when serving the cooks were a little gruff as well. I split a hibachi dish with my mom and we got steamed rice and the chef put fried rice on mine and then got mad at me when I didn't say anything? Idk felt unnecessary Either way food was good!! The hibachi was a little salty but sushi was great for the price and we also got the egg rolls for an appetizer. Overall not a bad spot just wish the staff had been nicer

First time visiting. Last time visiting. I'll start with the "good"…read more The service was very good! Our server, Ade, was nice and attentive. 5 stars for her! The atmosphere was decent. The regular seating area chairs are kind of low, so if you're someone who has issues standing up from a seated position, here's a warning for you. Now for the bad... the food. I give 4 stars for the steak, scallops & miso soup, they were all tasty. However, the shrimp & calamari were severely overcooked. They were like eating rubber. The sushi I ordered, American Dream Roll, was not good at all. It was more like an American Nightmare. Even the wasabi looked old. The inside of the roll was okay, but it was not what I thought it was going to be. And the sriracha sauce on top just made it yuck! The hibachi veggies tasted like they were old and reheated. Nothing had a crunch to them, not the broccoli or the onions. If you want hibachi, it's probably best to sit at the hibachi table. Maybe then your food will taste fresher and not overcooked.

It felt understated, almost too quiet. Then we spotted the staircase, and those steps just kept going. Once we reached the top, all doubt disappeared. What awaited us was an elegant, thoughtfully curated cigar lounge that immediately impressed. I don't smoke cigars and typically avoid smoking establishments altogether because the smell lingers in my hair and clothes. To my surprise, Churchill's is extremely well ventilated. When we left, I didn't smell like I'd been in a cigar lounge at all, a huge win in my book. My husband is a bourbon lover and has been searching for a spot worthy of inviting "the fellas" when they're in town. I won't say his friends are pretentious, but they are gentlemen, and this is absolutely a place for men with class and prestige. Churchill's boasts a vast selection of premium liquor, easily the largest and most impressive bourbon and whiskey collection I've personally seen. The photos online truly don't do this place justice. The ambiance has a moody, blues-club vibe, upscale, sexy, and refined. I almost forgot I was in Macon. Smooth jazz instrumentals played in the background, setting the tone perfectly. Every detail was intentional, even down to the restroom, which was immaculate and elegant. Customer service was stellar. Genesis, our bartender, was jovial, attentive, and incredibly skilled. Despite the bar being filled to capacity, she made every guest feel like they had her undivided attention. One of the owners also made a point to greet each guest personally, welcoming us with warmth and genuine hospitality, a touch that never goes unnoticed. Since we had just come from dinner, we stuck to drinks. I ordered my favorite cocktail, a strawberry lemon drop martini, and it was made perfectly. My husband enjoyed an Old Fashioned that was equally well executed. No matter how premium your liquor selection is, it means nothing without quality ingredients and knowledgeable bartenders -- Churchill's has both. I can't wait to return so we can try the food. A few things to note: there is a 20% gratuity automatically added to each bill, which was well deserved in our experience. They are card-only, no cash accepted. And lastly, make sure you're sober enough to make it back down those stairs when you leave. Churchill's on Cherry is a gem for Macon. Classy, refined, and done right. This is how it's supposed to be.
