Do not get the spicy general Tso's chicken. It had no sauce and the only flavor was red pepper. I also got steak with fried rice, the steak was under seasoned and the rice tasted plain. The service was alright at the window but when I came to the speaker they did not greet me. Definitely just go to a regular old Chinese restaurant. read more

The food was just a average at best, but the staff was rude. We came in about 45 mins prior to closing time. As it was about 5-10 before closing a staff member came to our table and told us we had to leave because they were closing and his ride was outside waiting on him. What's even worse is he walked out behind us leaving and left the restaurant uncleaned or picked up... Never Again! I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I think they got me with the crab Rangoon! No crab legs ( disappointing, and I don't eat crawfish, but if U did I would've been very happy , as they had plenty of them. Overall I was satisfied but I'll have to order from the menu for my favorite dish from now on. read more

The food was solid. I had the hibachi chicken with noodles. The noodles have garlic on them I think. My dad had steak and chicken hibachi his steak wasn't tender enough for his liking. The veggies were cooked well with a little bite. Carrots were sweet and tender. Everything was seasoned really well. read more

It's ok. I've been once that it was pretty good which was surprising from the way it looks but then I went recently and it wasn't so great.

Not the best experience here with food. I tried them once before and I received a reduced portion of teriyaki chicken compared to other Japanese restaurants in town. I went back a second time (about a year later) and still encountered the same problem here. I paid around $12 for simply rice and teriyaki chicken. However, my meal looked as if it was worth only $5 from the portion of food I received. Very disappointed. The taste was so-so. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Surprisingly nice on the inside. You can see the grill from a little window.... A guy in the back cutting veggies was NOT wearing gloves. After seeing that I only stayed because the veggies had to be cooked so that would (hopefully) do away with any germs/bacteria. Bland city! Just not that good, honestly. There are MUCH better Japanese restaurants to eat at in WR and surrounding areas. (The new one, where Ryan's used to be, Genji, Shogun, and my personal favorite, Kahn, which is a Mongolian grill) Just look at the pictures that people have posted, you can tell that it's just not seasoned very much, and looks just...ehhh. Might be a good place for people with sensitive stomachs, or people who like lightly seasoned dishes. read more

Worst hibachi I've ever had. The noodle weren't yakisoba noodles, even though she said they were. They were the thick pan noodles and they didn't fry them much so they were really mushy. The steak didn't have any flavor. The fried rice was fried, but it also didn't have any flavor except for the oil they cooked it in. The chicken was the best thing out of it all. This is our favorite, go-to hibachi when we're in the area. It's always good food served fast. It's also a great deal ($1.50+) off if you can order during the lunch hours (Monday-Friday 11a-2p). We have tried the teriyaki, but prefer their hibachi option. read more

Hibachi Express opened several years ago, but today was my first visit. I got the hibachi chicken to go. It comes in a huge tray that consists of chicken, rice, and mixed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, onions and zucchini). All was cooked to perfection. The food rivals any sit down hibachi restaurant in town. Sad to say it's taken me this long, but can't wait to get back and try more of the menu. read more

I was really surprised by this little place. The restaurant is clean and the staff was very friendly and patient while we looked over the menu. The helpings were large and the hibachi steak and chicken was very flavorful. The hibachi entree comes with rice and steamed vegetables which were well cooked and tasty. They also give you a little cup of yum yum sauce, which is always a plus. The only downside is the parking. Because this place is in the same building as a gas station, it didn't seem to have its own parking. Other than that, would recommend. read more

So I tried this restaurant for the first time today and I'm pretty disappointed. I read the reviews before I went and they were pretty good and I had also heard that they were good from friends as well. I ordered the General Tso's chicken with fried rice, carrots, broccoli, and spring rolls. The rice was really good. The carrots were not seasoned but cooked well and I liked them. The broccoli was lightly seasoned and cooked well and were pretty good. My disappointment was with the chicken and I use that word loosely. What I had was a large amount of fried and battered chicken skin and it was disgusting. The flavor of the sauce was delicious but I could not make myself eat any more of it. I kept trying to find pieces of actual chicken and gave up after finding a few and mostly skin. I will not be getting this dish again. I should have tried the hibachi chicken as I had planned. Because I enjoyed the sides I may give the hibachi chicken a try..at least I know I'll be getting actual pieces of chicken. read more

Horrible from the minute I opened the door. I go up to the counter to order, the cashier/host does not acknowledge me until about two minutes; he was busy playing some game on his phone. I placed my order, food came out in a little food tray like what you get in airplanes. I had the shrimp hibachi and it lacked flavor, rice was cold, and the broccoli was raw. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Don't expect the portions you would get a traditional hibachi restaurant. However, the prices are roughly half what you would normally pay. I would avoid the spring rolls...They were hot and crunchy on the outside and seemed undercooked inside. My scallops and steak were excellent.
