I don't know how to describe the inside of it, it's like they're port holes everywhere like the place used to be a seafood restaurant, but then there are oddly painted walls and they played alternative music. Honestly, I'm not sure I would've put all these random things together, but the sushi was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I would come here again. I should also mention that I am celiac and called before I went in and they seemed fairly knowledgeable about what was gluten-free and what was not. They also had gluten-free soy sauce for me. So I give the place kudos for respecting that.

Well, this was a big bowl of poke, and that was good, because it wasn't cheap - the prices written on the dry erase board were several dollars more expensive than the ones on the overhead menu. It was also a surprisingly rich poke bowl in culinary terms as there was a fair amount of oil and very sweet sauce. It was tasty, but not as light as I expected. Service was as fast as the somewhat fast-food style ambience would suggest, but I appreciated the booths in case I'd wanted to spend a bit more time eating. Waited about 15 mins to be seated and it seemed there was 2 servers and 1 chef. Server was all over and not super attentive but got the job done enough. Chef was friendly. The food was average the salad didn't have the classic ginger dressing which was weird and for the classic fried rice everything was uncharged. At the end we ended up having to grab our own boxes and had to ask 4 separate times for to go sauces.

I…read morehave Yelp to thank for this life update, while in town casually strolling to see what grocery stores Macon had, it popped up in my search. When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. There were so many unique, better for you options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I grabbed a bag of herb-seasoned popcorn on a whim and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 10 out of 10. The store itself is quaint, but don't let the size fool you I easily spent an hour exploring, especially the seasonal items. Between the fresh flowers, quality products, and overall inviting vibe, this place is officially back in my rotation. It may be "close ish," but it's absolutely worth the trip.

The ambiance and decor shows an elegant and sophisticated feel. It's hard to find good sushi so when I seen their line up I knew I was going to pass on the pasta and steaks and go right for the sushi. lol The Chef's Selection (assorted sashimi/nigiri) was a bit of a mystery as it didn't explain anything other than it was the chef's selection. I'm always up for an adventure so I went with it. All I can say is wow what a dish. 4 kinds of fish. Hawaiian Butter fish, Yellow Fin, Salmon and Tuna. And so much of it. Four big pieces of each. I had eaten here a couple of times before, but it had been over 15 years, and this was my wife's first visit. We started with the crispy shrimp rolls and pork shumai, and both appetizers were fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to begin our meal. For our entrées, my wife ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice and mixed vegetables, while I had the lemon chicken with the double noodle salad. Everything was cooked fresh, tasted amazing, and came out incredibly fast. The customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. Overall, this was an outstanding dining experience. Fresh food, fast service, good portion size, and excellent customer service. We'll definitely be back. 10/10! I highly recommend Tokyo Alley!

Thankfully, it's just a short stroll down the alley and you're greeted by a quaint exterior that already sets the tone. We were in the area on a Saturday night, and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was packed. Inside, the ambiance is intimate and cozy, perfect for date night or a low-key evening out. Despite its small size, they've managed to make great use of the space and accommodate a solid crowd without it feeling overwhelming. We didn't make reservations, and although the wait wasn't bad at all, we decided to order to go instead. The woman at the front was friendly, professional, and kept things moving smoothly while a constant stream of customers walked in as others were checking out. The menu is refreshingly simple. We started with the crispy shrimp roll appetizer, which was a hit. The sauce it came with tasted house made and paired beautifully. For our entrées, we both went with the stir fried veggies with shrimp in garlic sauce. I got mine with noodles and fried rice, while my husband went all in with double rice. The portions were generous, and the veggies were fresh and cooked just right. The garlic sauce, it didn't quite hit the flavor note I was hoping for. And the fried rice? A bit on the bland side. However, the cold noodles that came with my dish was surprisingly tasty (think angel hair pasta tossed in a creamy sauce that somehow just works). Unexpected star of the show. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the portions were solid, and the customer service was great. While everything didn't completely wow me, there's definitely enough potential here to bring me back. Next time, we'll come prepared, make reservations, dine in, and explore more of the menu.
