I called in at 9:23 PM on a Friday night to place a to-go order. The woman who answered told me they couldn't take my order because they "close at 9:30 and the kitchen was closed." I knew that was incorrect because this establishment is open later than that. I arrived in person at 9:34 PM and the parking lot was full. When I walked in, I was immediately asked how many were in my party. I explained I wanted to order to go and was directed to the bar, where another employee took my order with no issue and even apologized, confirming they do not close at 9:30. While waiting, I observed multiple employees sitting around doing nothing, which made it very clear that the refusal to take my phone order had nothing to do with closing time and everything to do with laziness and them sitting around doing a bunch of nothing! After receiving my food, I asked to speak with a manager. When I explained what happened, the manager dismissively said, "We stop taking phone orders at 9:30," even though my call was before 9:30. When I pointed that out, she simply said "sorry about that" and walked away--no concern, no accountability, no attempt to resolve the issue. I spent almost $30 of my hard-earned money here and was treated as if my business didn't matter at all. This was extremely unprofessional service from both staff and management. I considered returning my food, but instead I've decided to never return and to warn others. I will be letting my friends, family, co workers on the base, and social media know about my experience! After weeks of wanting to come here a 30 min drive being put on a list to be seated being told an hour check back in the hostess says 10 mins, return in 10 she says 30 more minutes due to seating and that parties were staying longer than expected she catch an attitude the manager comes over explains that she was wrong for giving misleading information and some policy on why we couldn't be seated sooner to waiting 2 hours to be seated literally. Finally ordered the food comes out. I'm not sure about anyone else but I know seafood. And crab is not supposed to stick to the inside of the shell unless it's over cooked, shrimp coming off with the shell too the sauce had literally no flavor unless you scraped the bottom of the bag HORRIBLE (To each their own) however, the food, the service, not to mention some of the waitresses acquaintances sitting at the bar being serviced before us. Yes, we experienced some real life horrible service here. I'm really in disbelief that we were treated like that. It was more people walking out with uneaten food than eating it seems like. Don't waste your money or time. Now after all this waiting now it's time to pay we have to wait an additional 30 mins for them to get the tickets together. If you like wasting money and time this place is for you if not keep it moving so you don't have to experience what we did. Ok, so I don't eat seafood that often but I do think of it as a treat providing it is done right. This is a fairly new restaurant here in Warner Robins so the restaurant was clean and very decorative if you like the cheesy beach scene. Lots of netting hung about and steering wheels and such. We had the six lemon pepper wings as an appetizer and they were a good size with plenty of meat. They were nice and crispy but needed more lemon pepper because you could barely taste any. For the main meal we had peel and eat shrimp that were served in a bag that you pour out in your provided plate. They had a lot of seasoned butter but somehow had not much flavor and too greasy. I had the fried catfish and broccoli as a side( WOW)that fish was amazing! The breading was light and crispy and the fish meaty and juicy. The broccoli was boiled in shrimp water and served in a plastic bag. NOT GOOD! The waitress exchange it for cold slaw( broccoli). Because I am watching what I eat ( no white food such as breads or pasta and yes I realize the fish was breaded lightly) I didn't order more. The broccoli is frozen but compliments the salty flavor. We had the steamed oysters they were very good. Our server was Tik. She was excellent. Chad was also helpful and the manager came by twice to check on us. I liked that we had the corner booth and it had plexiglass between. This is not inexpensive and yes, it is super casual. I'm typically a crab purists that loves the tastes of steamed without sauces but their House special sauce is one I want to ask if I can buy extra to use for other foods at home. I have been here a few times and have mixed feelings about this restaurant but my last experience left a very sour taste in my mind. We both ordered the shrimp po boy sandwich and it was good. Generous portion. Slow service. And inattentive waitress. What angered me, and everyone in our group was that we checked our bills. Yami is a big MISS OR hit... lately it's been a miss for me. Last order I got was a crab boil and the crab smelled horrible when I picked it up and open the bag. Seafood should never have that strong of a ammonia smell that lets me know the crab wasn't fresh and probably sat out in a uncontrolled temperature. I didn't eat the crab because food poisoning isn't something to test and play around with. Yami do better. This is a warning for all who think about eating there.
