My husband & I tried this restaurant for the first time for a birthday dinner, hoping for a special evening. We unfortunately left disappointed. For cocktails, my husband ordered the Mango Sunshine & I ordered the Cucumber Mojito. Both were refreshing & tasted good overall, but did seem quite weak. For dinner, my husband ordered the braised short rib from the Specials menu & I ordered the lamb chops, one of my absolute favorite foods. I ordered the lamb chops medium rare & they were quite overdone, with the last one I tried to eat being well done. The brussels sprouts on the other hand were quite underdone, and were solid to the point that I couldn't even stick my fork through them. I asked for asparagus as a replacement, which ended up being underdone as well. My husband felt his mashed potatoes were too salty & that his broccoli was cooked into mush, but had no issues with the short rib. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly, & the complimentary biscuits were absolutely delicious. Overall, for the high prices they charge at this establishment, it is absolutely not worth it. Exquisite. I'm from Indiana. I've not heard of this town, nor any restaurants here. I arrived at the Pond. It has a great layout and a lake view. The staff is inviting. It also has a decent Bourbon collection. I ordered the Salmon meal, not expecting too much because it's not Atlanta, New York, or LA. I got the seasonal vegetables (I hate seasonal vegetables) to be healthy. Let me tell you - the vegetables were delicious. They were lightly marinated, had some smoked grill taste and were perfectly cooked. I could have had that as the entree. I often get seasonal vegetables - and hate them every time. It's for health only. Well here they are delicious and healthy!!! Salmon and mashed (non loaded) potatoes were great. Shout out to staff, chef, and managers. Wednesday night dinner on friends recommendation. It was very good and exceeds the 3.5 rating. I started with the grapefruit rose, it is good for those that like a sweet rose it was a tad sweet for me. I had a glass of pinot noir after and that was very smooth. I had the lamb chops with a side of cheese grits and broccoli. The pork chops were great, I asked for medium and they were cooked that way. The chops were seasoned nicely and came with a side of mint jelly that gave that savory sweet mix. The cheese grits had a good flavor, the only critique was they could have been a bit thicker and creamier. No complaints on the broccoli. I'm in town for the week and The Pond was a dinner choice for me and my closest 20 friends. Ha. Despite the large group, the staff was super gracious and took amazing care of us all. I tried the beignets as an appetizer, and they were warm & delicious. I chose the Chicken Parmesan and my co-worker tried the Grown Adult Chicken Fingers. The Chicken Parmesan was surprisingly good. The chicken was seasoned to be mild but the marinara sauce had a kick. Yum! My co-worker loved the hot honey glaze on the chicken tenders and couldn't stop with the rice pilaf. Pond Restaurant is a lovely upscale spot with a beautifully designed dining room nestled by a waterway. I went in the evening and missed the view from the dining room. Instead, I sat at the bar to avoid a pretty long wait, and the service was excellent--attentive and friendly. While the ambiance and hospitality were top-notch, the food was a bit bland. I had their Quinoa power bowl with Lime vinaigrette and some beignets. The presentation was nice, but the flavors of the salad were bland. My bartender got busy and I didn't have the opportunity to flag him down for some salt. It didn't quite match the upscale feel. However the appetizer beignets were fantastic. Overall, a great place for atmosphere and service, but the food could use a little more flavor. I may go back to try something else. read more

I've tried Pond several times since my initial experience and felt they deserved an updated review. My husband and I have only dined at the bar thus far. This restaurant is very popular amongst the locals and visitors. On any given night, there could be a private party in any of the many areas that the restaurant rents out. On their website, there is a link for online ordering, yet I'm not sure if it is functional since online ordering is never available. Warner Robins AFB is only a few miles away, so if there is a conference or an event, sometimes the restaurant will be reservation only. The staff is always friendly and they work as a team to give the best service to their patrons. My drink of choice is always the Kettle One lemon drop martini, and my husband has had the smoked Old Fashioned and their margaritas. I always enjoy the food. My favorite is the Red Snapper with shrimp and brussel sprouts as a side. If you are in the area and want an upscale ambiance, definitely add Pond to your list. read more

We were seated quickly in a nice booth, and Noah our waiter was AWESOME!!! He was very professional, friendly, courteous, efficient, and attentive. The food EXCEEDED all of our expectations in the BEST way! The macaroni bites were the most pleasant surprise - I normally order that wherever I see it on a restaurants menu, but I have NEVER had macaroni bites where it tasted like they actually took love and care to make decent macaroni and cheese for it! You can actually taste the smoked Gouda, and these are hands down the best macaroni and cheese bites that I have EVER had (we ended up getting 4 to go orders )! The loaded potato skins and grown folks chicken tenders were also very yummy, and my lady raved about her fried catfish, greens, and cornbread. For dessert, we had the lemon blueberry cheesecake cake, and it was altogether wonderfully moist, not too sweet, and bursting with fresh fruit flavor. They also had the restaurant beautifully decorated for Christmas. No better place for a first date. We had a wonderful experience, and will DEFINITELY be back! read more

We chose The Pond to celebrate our 10th anniversary (which was clearly noted in our reservation) with our kids, based on all the amazing reviews--especially about the staff like Kelly, TJ, and Katlyn. Unfortunately, our experience did not match what others raved about. Our server, Noah, was quiet, sultry, and sullen throughout the evening. It felt like he wanted nothing to do with being at work. I made several attempts to engage with him, but was shrugged off with awkward chuckles and minimal responses. Even when I asked for a recommendation between two dishes, the only input he gave was "you get more" with one of them--not exactly the kind of thoughtful service I was hoping for at this price point. To make matters worse, our table (picture attached) was dirty when we were seated. There was chocolate smeared on one side, as if it hadn't been cleaned from the night before. For what was supposed to be a milestone celebration, this was a huge disappointment. The food itself was decent but not extraordinary--certainly not what I'd expect for a $150 evening out. And while we could hear Kelly and Katlyn nearby absolutely lighting up the room for their guests, our own experience felt more like an upscale fast food stop than fine dining. We were really excited to finally try The Pond after searching for a true fine dining experience in Warner Robins, but unfortunately this wasn't it. They were almost tender enough to cut with a butter knife, because they do not provide a steak knife (I'm sure you can get one if you ask), and I made do. You get 4 nice sized lollipop chops for $51 (with 2 signature sides). The only issue was the temperature. I asked for them to be cooked medium rare & only one came out that way. The other 3 were medium well. I didn't want to send them back because I was hungry & had already started in on them but I did mention it to our server, Kristen J. For $51, they should all have been cooked to order! I have no issue paying top dollar for great food but I think they were overpriced, even though they had a good taste to them. This was my familys first time trying this restaurant. We came across a recommendation via TikTok. The hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Our waitress, Abigail was helpful, pleasant, and kept our ice teas flowing. I enjoyed the view of the pond which was so placid. The ambiance inside the dining area was dark due to the dark wood and design. It was not well lit inside. Before we ordered, we were disturbed by a few knats and we continued to keep our hands in motion to fan them away. Some of what we ordered included the fried shrimp which turned out to be be bland, the broccoli was only seasoned with garlic and the mac and cheese was cold and tasted strange. My order included sides only broccoli, mac and cheese and grits martini. The grits were okay, I could see where they were trying to go with them. My broccoli was bland, but there was a surprising pop of cracked pepper unfortunately, that was not enough of a pop to save them. The mac and cheese was cool, also congealed in appearance. I tried a small amount and it tasted how it looked. The highlights for my family were the staff, the pond itself, and the ice tea. Unfortunately, this is not enough for us to return. Please do not take this rating personal, this restaurant appears to have a lot of return customers. I personally do not care for dark spaces as I need to see my surroundings at all times. The knats were bothersome and the food was served at cool temperatures and blandly seasoned. The food could have benefited from some citrus, acid, or some fresh herbs. Just not for us. read more

I made dinner reservations for my party of 3. We all ordered from the "special menu". My mom and I ordered the 13 oz aged pork chops. My brother ordered ox tails. The waitress asked my mom how she wanted her chops prepared, but she didn't ask me. Strangely enough, my mom was served a 6 oz thin cut, but well done as expected. My brother and I noticed the significant difference, but we are not ones to send food back for preparation or complain. Of course we expected there to be a price difference for their error. I received my dinner a little later than theirs, probably due to it being a 13 oz cut of meat. The manager checked on our table as I was cutting into my medium-well pork chop. I DO NOT eat pork less than well done. I showed the manager that it had a slightly pink center and asked him to take my entire meal back. I was disappointed that I could not eat dinner, but we were enjoying our time together so I ate my appetizer and drank plenty of tea to fill me up. Again, I do NOT like my food to be taken back into the kitchen. I wasn't expecting it to return to the table. My waitress came by to explain that I did not specify the temp of the meat, therefore they always cook it medium well. The lady across from us sent her 13 oz pork chops back to the kitchen because it was not properly cooked. I tried to eat my dry unseasoned meat because I was hungry, but I could not do it. I packed my entire meal, including the 2.5 ounces of overcooked and under seasoned diced seasonal vegetables and grits. I was disappointed that I had to return to Midtown Atlanta just as hungry as I came and I did not have time to stop anywhere else for dinner. $165 + tip There was NO price adjustment for the 6 oz pork chop that was supposed to be 13 oz. Some friends were coming into town to get married so we wanted to make a reservation for Valentine's Day and have a nice dinner at a local restaurant. The Valentine's Day "special" was a five course meal that was 200$ per couple since we were a group of five we opted for the Valentine's Day alacarte "special menu". I tired to make the reservations online but the website would not allow me. So we had to call leave a message and be called back. (foreshadowing) The restaurant did eventually call us back and allowed us to make the reservation for 4 pm, an early dinner celebration after the wedding ceremony. We arrived at the restaurant at 4PM and still had to wait for our table. The restaurant was nearly empty there was one or two other tables besides us. They sat us at a U shaped booth that was very dimly lit. I understand ambiance and everything but I also don't want to eat in the dark. If it was not for the afternoon sun coming through the window I would have had to use my phone flash light to see the menu. The table was painted with a gloss black finish but was dented and marked and marred like someone had been using it as a craft table for the last 4 years then slapped a coat of paint on it and put it in this restaurant. (Remember the valentine's day special was 100$ per person for this "experience." ) We ordered appetizers the Mac and cheese bites that were good, edamame that was ok and the BBQ bacon potato skins that were fine. They brought the mac and cheese bites and the potato skins but took another 20 mins to bring the edamame a-little strange but hey we all have our hiccups. We ordered entrees and here folks is where things went south real fast. The Alfredo Chicken pasta was tasteless and the chicken was a strange texture like it has been boiled. The fried pork chop was nothing like it was described on the menu it come in a red sauce no the portobello mushroom cream sauce promised and was more like a veal parmesan but with a bone on pork chop and the Mac and cheese premium side was dry like it had been sitting in a tray on a table for two days. The person who go the Sea-bass had severe tummy troubles the entire night after and some of the next day... what a wedding night am I right? The filet mignon was a charcoal Briquette on the outside but somehow medium on the inside. And the rib eye came out extremely well done when ordered medium so it was sent back.... When the new stake came it had a sauce that the first one didn't come with smeared all down one side of the stake and was still overcooked and was the saddest rib eye cut. I had ever seen... this is supposedly a 44$ cut of beef. But wait there's more! The manager/owner then came over AFTER INSPECTING THE MEAT WITH THE FLASHLIGHT ON HIS PHONE to argue that the meat was temped with a thermometer and was the proper temp, and if we didn't want the sauce we should have asked for it on the side. Then tried to make us PAY for a stake the was never eaten someone walked out of that restaurant without have been served a meal and was expected to pay for a meal that was taken back to the kitchen. We paid what we thought was fair, left that poor server who had to deal with all of that plus her rude boss a nice tip and left and we will never be back. Let me first say that I do not live here in Warner Robins but frequent here because my boyfriend lives and works here during the week. He wanted to take me out for dinner but we didn't want to drive all the way to Macon like we usually do. So we stumbled upon Pond restaurant. Let me just say, this place was a winner. The ambiance was great, our bartender, Tabitha was top notch on our cocktails and recommended some great options for dinner. I asked her if any of the nights had anything going on and she said that on Wednesday early evenings and every other Sunday, they have Jazz, which I love. They have a beautiful patio set up outside overlooking a lake. I typically am not a catfish person and have only had it at Pappadeaux. I highly recommend getting the catfish bites either as an appetizer or as your meal. It was so lightly batters and came out super hot with a jalapeño aïoli sauce. I ordered the blacked salmon with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes (gave have to my boyfriend, lol), and he ordered the scallops with the pilaf rice and side salad. I enjoyed a dirty martini and Moscow mule and he enjoyed an old fashion. Overall, I was very pleasantly impressed with the food quality and service. This is a follow-up to my last review. I came here for a steak for lunch after going for all of Lent without meat. It was well worth it. I started with a Manhattan, ordered a six-ounce filet mignon with a side salad and rice pilaf (and a Terminus porter on the side), and finished off with a piece of the Strawberry Heaven cake. So let's review it. In the first place, the service was once again outstanding. Every time I set a finished plate aside, it was as if it was teleported away, so quickly and efficiently was it removed. Likewise, Tabitha was quite attentive, always immediately coming to the table when I looked in her direction. Moreover, I asked for the porter to come with the entrée and then for the coffee to come out with the dessert. The timing for both drinks was perfect. The quality of the food itself was also excellent. The steak came with a demi-glace that was unobtrusive enough that it both provided flavor and still allowed me to taste the natural flavor of the beef. The rice pilaf that came with the steak was good, as was the side salad with raspberry vinaigrett. Were I to raise any concerns, it would be that I was seated a bit too close to the air conditioner vent, but that is an exceedingly minor nitpick. Second visit to pond, food was just as good, and service was still outstanding. Do yourself a favor and eat here. read more

We made reservations and were seated immediately, and we ordered 5 minutes in. It took over an hour to get our food and 45 minutes to receive the biscuits. The food was pretty good. However, some of our sides were missing when brought out. When we finally did get them, the broccoli was extremely undercooked. It was so crunchy and felt like it was only warmed slightly. Maybe it was because we went on a busy Friday night. I am not sure. I would give them another chance, but tonight was not the night. They have a big opportunity here. read more

After it was all over, I have to say I will visit this one again. The red snapper and shrimp were amazing. The asparagus was very tender and lots of flavor. The red velvet cheese cake, well let's just say it was almost perfection. I say that only because it lacks the pecans. The service was very timely and the waitress was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered: Draft Beer Wine (Pinot Noir) Cheese bites appetizer Entree's were: Daily Special - Red Snapper special with (4) shrimp for $25.00 Strawberry Salad Meal . ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wine - Because it was sunset you could see the wine glass had been wiped with a towel because the lint was left behind. The server was sweet but said she had no idea how to pronounce the name of the wine. Appetizer - We ordered the Gouda Mac and cheese bites. Oversized frozen tator tots with processed cheese deep fried. Salad - Had to return it! It was half made! They ran out of pecans (and we sufficed with granola). It's supposed to have fresh feta, and when the 2nd salad came out, the feta was caked and had no flavor! You would have expect uncaked feta that is freshly crumbled per order! We appreciated the 'Manager' personally trying to remake our salad but they lacked the ingredients for it so why serve it? ‍ Red Snapper - Fishy (not fresh) and was not seasoned well. And that was a "Special!" Don't ask us if we want dessert when our meal was made w/no effort. The hostess said she was going to verify if the kitchen was closed, she walked into the kitchen then started walking around for around 5 minutes at which point she informed me that the kitchen closed at 8:30. If this is a normal means in which this business operates and not simply communicated out of convenience it would be helpful for that to be communicated anywhere to avoid confusion. So let me start off by saying The Pond was recommended to us maybe a year or 2 ago and based on the reviews I was hesitant (they were mixed), however when we pulled into the lot I was intrigued by the decor and the work the owners put into the exterior!!! The interior is just as stunning... Once we entered and greeted (no reservation) we were seated outside and my mind was blown!!! I went to college near Warner Robbins (and had a part-time job there) and had no idea they had a lake community... The views were amazing and I would highly recommend making a reservation as it gets warmer!!! The matter-of-fact waiter was knowledgeable and seasoned... He lit the heating lamp which help as the evening progressed! I would totally recommend the the outdoor area for a private event! Now the drinks: Kamikaze was 5 star!!! The Long Beach Island were 5 star. Food: Bone-in pork chop was perfect, delicious, and juicy! The red snapper was 4 star and I would recommend that they leave the skin on (but it's a personal preference). The sides were 4.5 stars and the pleaser was the loaded mash and the brussel sprouts! The appetizers 5 star the crab and scallops with the lemon butter caper sauce was mouth watering: and the catfish nuggets were fried to perfection! Unfortunately, my friends and I did not have a great experience here. My friend reserved a table for a small baby shower months in advance. Our reservation was for 1pm on a Sunday. At about 1:15, a manager (I'm assuming, he never introduced himself) approached us and asked if we had been given menus yet. We had not, and shortly after a waitress came to the table with menus for brunch. She told us that brunch ended at 1:30 and asked if we would also like dinner menus. We all agreed that due to the timing of brunch being minutes away from being over, we would all just order off the dinner menus. In the meantime, I start opening gifts and the manager approached us again, stating it was last call for brunch. We explained we would be ordering off the dinner menu. He informs us that dinner doesn't start until 2:30 so that our only option is brunch at this time. It was a little frustrating that no one explained this to us on arrival. As we get up to go to the brunch buffet line, he also tells us that he is sorry to "inconvenience us again" but that he needs us to move tables because they needed the one we were seated at for a dinner preparation. Since this was a baby shower get together, my friends had arrived early and decorated the table with table cloths, a cupcake tower, and other small decorations. So it actually was a little inconvenient to have to move everything, including gifts and drinks, to another table. Finally, we get to go in the brunch buffet line and almost everything was completely picked over. Many of the dishes had nothing left at all. Very disappointing for $25 a person. We never once complained, but the whole time we felt hostility from the staff. It was a very awkward experience and all of us agreed it wasn't worth visiting/eating there again. read more
