I want to start by saying not everything about my experience was awful. The waitress was kind and understanding when taking our order and my date and I understood that it was Prom night and there might have been a bit of a wait. The part that upset me was the fact that the restaurant was prioritizing walk-ins above those of us who had a reservation and made it several days in advance. We waited 30 minutes for our table after the aforementioned reservation and every time we went to leave we would finally get service and my date's food came to us after another 20 minutes of waiting and mine 30 minutes later. We went for brunch; never again. The food was lukewarm, the restaurant was half empty and the server had to be called over just to refill beverages ONE time. We could barely get her attention even though there were few other customers there. I visited the Pond for a friend's birthday celebration the other day & I enjoyed myself immensely. There is plenty of parking available & the hostess was very affable when I walked in. We sat outside on the beautiful, well-lit patio & sipped our drinks as we perused the menu. I ordered grilled salmon with mashed potatoes & broccoli. Everything tasted great! I drank a House Margarita & it was reasonably strong-if you're a lightweight you'll love it. One thing I will say is to expect at least a 40 min wait time on the food. This is clearly stated on their website so I was prepared to wait. Drinks & appetizers take considerably less time to come out so make sure you order these first. I chose the Pond to celebrate my birthday. We were a party of eight on a Sunday evening and the crowd was light. Our server greeted us, brought out drinks, took our orders, brought our food and we never saw her again. All of our drink glasses were empty so finally I went to the hostess stand to complain. While discussing the poor service with a hostess, a different server was also there with her. She assured she would find my server. I returned to my table, waited about five minutes, then headed to the kitchen. On the way, I found my server in a corner room, chatting and laughing with the server who was at the hostess stand. They reprimanded me for being in that area and said that would report me to the manager, which I eagerly wanted. The manager was apologetic but the night of celebration was overshadowed by the poor service. read more

Soooo very pleased with our experience at this place!!!!! The hostess was so kind and very efficient. She sat us in about 10 minutes which was pretty fast for a couple who came in at a dinner rush time and no reservation! The atmosphere is just absolutely amazing. The outdoor area almost reminds me of a wedding venue and the inside is very appealing. Our waitress Lauren was wonderful!!!! She was so friendly and gave us great recommendations for our first time here! We got an order of beignets and that was just enough of sweetness and so fluffy and light! My husband got the Bourbon Glazed Salmon with Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes!!!!' Chefs kiss!!!! 10/10! That glaze is magical! He would not stop taking about it! Lol. First and foremost, I noticed the pride and care that went into all of the details: quality serving dishes and heavy silverware, rooms with quirky names as a nod to the previous land occupants, and old photos of the local area. COVID-19- I appreciated the care in enforcing hand washing upon entering the establishment, and employees who wore masks and gloves. The food was good! The salad was fresh and delicious. My hubby and I shared one, and it was plenty for both of us. I had the brisket with pimento cheese melt, and the bread/meat ratio was off. I had way too much bread. The brisket tasted like it had been marinated in a teriyaki sauce which pairs nicely with the pimento cheese. It would've even perfect with more meat and/or a smaller roll. My husband had the redfish sandwich, and he liked it. He said the fish was cooked perfectly. He felt that it should've been served with a sauce, but he didn't know what to ask for. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, but she wasn't able to answer some basic questions like whether or not the salad dressing is homemade. She just needs a bit more familiarization with the menu items. Alan, the manager on duty came and chatted with us, giving us a bit of history and background about the renovations. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he was a joy to talk with. Finally, the cheesecake. Get the cheesecake. In a nutshell, even though I will not order the brisket sandwich again, I will definitely return. The pride and love that has gone into all of the little things warrants 5 stars. My first visit here was a late Saturday afternoon. I selected a seat in the bar area and was sat right away. Wow, what a great view for Warner Robins! The restaurant, bar, and restrooms were clean and decorated nicely. Unfortunately I didn't care for the mojito. It did not taste like a paid bartender made it. The calamari had just the right amount of breading, and I will definitely order again. The salad was good-and the house vinaigrette was different and a bit tasty (although I wouldn't order order again). The shrimp and grits were good, except for a salsa mixture added to the top. I just didn't understand it, and scooped it off. I'd have preferred bacon or andouille sausage. I would order again, but without the salsa - save it for the chips. My favorite food was by far the pecan pie. So yummy! The staff was great. Kelly checked on me constantly to ensure I was enjoying my meal. Timothy and Al were also very cordial and asked questions about my experience. I'll return, as I'm looking forward to tasting the other dishes. read more

The Pond has one of the better steaks in Warner Robins. Their menu is prepared to order and the freshness is certainly a highlight. Dessert is great also. After arriving home with our food (finally ready 1 hour after we placed the order) we discovered that one of my wife's sides had been left out. She said the salmon was very good. Well, Pond- you failed miserably tonight! My party of 4 arrived exactly at 6pm, our confirmed reservation time. Sat waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes, only to be eventually led to a bench-table in a corner with high bench backs. Could not even see the view at Wilkinson Lake. During the online reservation process, I had specifically requested an inside window seat to celebrate my BIL's 70th birthday (visiting from out of town). After the seating dissapointment and unsuccessful attempt to be moved to one of numerous available window tables, we sat there in the corner wondering how much longer before the waitress working at the adjacent table would noticed us and ask if we'd like drinks. Well, after another 35 minutes of no service, we interrupted that same waitress, and my sister explained to her in some raised voice-heated terms that we were highly displeased. We left for a local restaurant where reservations were not accepted, and were seated within 2 minutes of arriving, experianced great service at a window table, and paid a fair price. I've been waiting for the Pond to open and my dining experience was amazing. The owner, Joe Wilburn, has put a lot of work into the interior and it is absolutely gorgeous. The deck with outdoor dining will be completed soon. Outdoor televisions, firepits, and water features all overlooking Wilkinson Lake, I can't wait! Now the food! Excellent. The food was delicious and well seasoned. I'm ready to try other dishes. The dining area and bar were beautifully decorated. They also have a private dining area and a meeting room. I have went here for the first time with my fiancé, and 2 other people. My fiancé already had a bad experience before as he got a bad stomach after eating their shrimps (he was stuck in the toilet for a long time) anyways, we gave this another chance as I never went here. I love their beignets, weird thing is we ordered 2 orders of beignets (filled with chocolate and plain/non-filled) when jt arrive the non-filled was like 8 and the other was like 6 . Not equal. I would still say their beignet is good, the chocolate one reminds me of popeyes beignet, the plain is like a very fluffy soft donut, I recommend getting it For the burgers, I got their pond burger , hmm I am unhappy with the taste as the burger patty isn't spiced or salted at all. The only taste i get is from the bacon and cheese I added on my burger. The sweet potato fries is very good. We came today for Mother's Day. We had reservations at five o'clock, and we placed our order by 5:15 PM. The only two complaints that I have are: the broccoli was cold for both of us that ordered it, and we did not receive our food until 6:10 PM. Nearly an hour is an exceptional wait. It did not appear to be busy like you would expect with that type of delay because there were lots of empty tables around us. BUT, The food was good and the server was friendly. It's a bit expensive but it's very nice inside and the view out to the lake is really cool. I'd come back, but for me this is like a once a year type of expense. It feels a bit more upscale than your local Longhorn or outback, however I'm usually just as happy or better with my food at those places. Give it a try! read more

After hearing the pond regarded as the "best restaurant in Warner Robins", I found it imperative to see for myself. On a Thursday evening, I visited Pond Restaurant with my mother for dinner. We arrived almost an hour to closing time in hopes that not many would be dining. Upon entering the parking lot, we noticed that the parking appeared full. Thankfully, we were able to find parking not too far from the entrance. Initially we searched for handicapped parking but did not immediately see indications of the establishment having them so due to the time constraints we were on settled for the parking spot that was readily available to us. As we entered the establishment, we were greeted by 2 hostesses. They were dressed appropriately in concordance with the atmosphere of the restaurant. We requested outdoor seating to be able to observe the views of the pond. The hostess explained that there would be a 5 minute wait do to them having to sanitize the table. For this circumstance, my mother and I did not mind waiting. While we waited, in the small sitting area in front of the hostess stand, we took in the the decorations of the establishment and assesses the other patrons. This seemed to be a chic family establishment as it was inclusive of TV's offering an array of viewings and we noticed multiple family's had come to dine for the evening, including my mother and me. Approximately 10 minutes later, the hostess returned exclaiming that our table was ready. She led us down a decorated corridor which lead to the outside seating. As she showed us our table, we all noticed dirty dishes that had been placed on what we assumed was a freshly sanitized table. My mother and me offered to wait at the patio furniture until someone came to re-sanitize our table. As we waited once more, we were able to enjoy the sun setting over the marvelous view of the Pond. Though in some areas it was obvious that additional landscaping was needed to remove discarded items that had been thrown inhibiting a full appreciation of the beautiful space, this did not stop us from appreciating the overall scenic area. Shortly after, we were promoted to return to our table as it had been freshly sanitized. (Forgive me as I speed through the remainder of this review. I've miscalculated the time I desire to spending remarking my experience at this restaurant and will now minimize my observations for the sake of completing this review" Our waitress was Sage. Even though we had come close to closing time, Sage remained upbeat and tentative. Her ever present smile was charming and endearing. My mother and I both ordered the salmon prepared differently. I ordered mine grilled with a side salad and Mac& cheese while she ordered hers blackened with edamame and mashed potatoes. Both dishes were well prepared, presented nicely and tasted great. My mother ordered a moscato and ginger ale to drink while I ordered the blackberry margarita and a water. Whomever prepared my margarita did an excellent job as it was properly blended, balanced in flavor and spirited wisely. The music that played softly yet audibly in the background was appropriate and ambient. I decided I wanted to savor the remanence of my meal so I asked Sage for a to go box. She returned with what appeared to be a sustainable or recyclable container. Being that we were the last party to leave, cashing out our ticket was quick. All in All, I recommend this restaurant to anyone that would like to eat reasonably priced and portioned great tasting food in a balanced atmosphere. read more

Went tonight with my family (6 of us) plus 2 friends. My wife, daughter and I ordered the snapper. This was without a doubt the worst meal we've ever eaten. Fish was so over cooked it was rubbery. My son and other daughter ordered the NY Strips and asked for medium rare and received well. I informed the waitress of the issues and we were still charged full price. Oh well lesson learned, we will NEVER eat there again or waste my money. I came back here for brunch which was really good in my opinion. They definitely should have just stuck to the plan of making this a breakfast and brunch place instead of shooting for dinner. The omelette was delicious. The pimiento cheese filling was flavorful and the beef was nice and tender, the grits were pretty good as well. The pancakes were delicious with crispy edges and soft middles. Overall, I was impressed. I will definitely go back for breakfast, I'm still not touching the dinner menu though. I did have one complaint they did have any hash browns or potatoes to go with their breakfast only grits.
