And, despite opening later than listed (11:10/15 vs 11:00), the food was worth waiting for. Now, my friend had planned on getting the Tamale plate, but they had taken it off the menu, as the person who made them, passed away. :-( So, we both ordered a traditional Cuban sandwich! And, I must say, it's the best Cuban sandwich that I've ever had (10 Stars)!! And, a first where they used chopped beef. I also ordered to go, Carnitas - Cuban style for tonight's dinner. But , they didn't open as posted, are no longer serving Tamales (though, a large order {2-3 dozen} can be placed 2 weeks ahead of the needed time), and the Chips and Salsa are ala cart. Even though we had to wait, a waitress was kind enough to step around the corner to let us know that they were open. And, the owner chatted with us for several minutes. Cuban style Pork Carnitas, with Rice, Cuban Black Beans, Fried Plantains, and Cooked Yucca Dinner: WOW!!! Though, I still had had the Cooked Yucca, everything was excellent! The only way it could have been better, is to have some Cuban bread. While I don't know when I'll be able to get here again, I definitely want to try their other dishes.

The guacamole was fresh and honestly one of the better ones I've had in a while. We also got the chicken nachos which were loaded and easily enough to share. Great value overall with really solid food. The decor honestly is nothing special and could use some work, but once the food came out it completely made up for it. Would definitely come back.

No offense but small town Mexican restaurant that's a chain...it is what it is. Sometimes you luck up...most times you don't. So we ordered the guacamole with pico de gallo and that was pretty good. Salsa was ok...I prefer a chunkier salsa and this was pretty watery. The issue came with our entrees. We ordered fajitas and off rip I was like why are they not sizzling? If fajitas come and I can touch the plate...that's a problem. I didn't really say anything initially because who knows...maybe this is the norm for this restaurant. The problem came when I could hear the fajita orders of all the other tables as they passed by. My steak and chicken were dry...I ate a few bites but some pieces were just unbearable. The onions were the best part of the plate. Few bites of beans and rice but I just couldn't do it. Service was fine. I mentioned to my server the issue as he asked if we needed a box. I didn't, because I wasn't going to eat it. He said sorry and that was that. I asked to speak to a manager because I try not to leave a bad review without addressing it first with a manager. I could tell the server's hesitation in wanting to get the manager so I just called it a wash. So here we are. Won't be back but you know...maybe it was just unfortunate that...yea idk. No excuse really. You live and you learn.

There is no ability to order online, so we called the order in. The online menu was massive, yet for the most part, it was easy to navigate. Parking is plentiful since the restaurant is located on HWy 96 in the Publix shopping center. When I picked up the meal, the staff was friendly. Most importantly, our order was not missing anything. The ambiance was relaxed, with plenty of booths, and they also had tables for large groups. There is a small outdoor seating area on the side of the restaurant. Our order included chips and salsa, which we all enjoyed. The salsa was spicy and truly pleased my tastebuds. My husband ordered the shrimp fajitas, which he enjoyed. His meal included plenty of shrimp and veggies. Our son had the Texas fajitas and also enjoyed his meal. They both had enough left over to eat the next day. I had a mystery meal under the mixed section called New! Shrimp House Special. My meal was basically shrimp fajitas on top of soggy rice. The rice was way too mushy to eat, but the rest of my Entree was good. They probably should have put the rice in another container. We will definitely come back and will dine in next time.

I am thinking this will be an exciting dining experience. There is a saying, DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! Stepping inside of this restaurant, I can see the potential for something great. I know they are new because they only had 4 reviews with a minimum amount of pictures, so I will be as polite as I can. We were greeted and seated. They staff seems to be occupied by novices of a younger generation. Very timid, little etiquette, limited experience, and not very knowledgeable. I can see the etiquette flows from management. I will get back to that . We are placing our order; I kind of feel sorry for our waitress, She just did not know a lot about the menu when asked a question and she had to go get verification. Interacting with her was where I noticed that she was awfully timid. We started with drinks and then ordered! The only margarita she mentioned was the house margarita which was a lime margarita and we ordered the blue paradise. Our Order* They started us off with salsa and chips. Burrito and French fries- This was a deformed burrito, more lopsided rather than being a sphere. And no dressing at all. Beef nacho- Enchiladas supreme- 4 corn tortillas: 1 cheese, 1 bean. 1 ground beef, and one shredded chicken, topped with supreme sauce and shredded cheese, served with lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. The presentation was overloaded for me. View picture. The meal was wet and had too much sauce. The ground beef and cheese enchiladas were a hit, the otters were a miss. The chicken was dry with no flavor and the bean enchilada was flavorless. At the end of our meal our waitress was taking away the empty plates and took away the remainder of my margarita. I mentioned it to her and the only thing she knew how to do was apologize and smile. I did not forget about the manager. At the beginning of our dining experience I summoned the manager to our table, just to gather information for this review. He waved me off and told me that my waitress will be right over but he eventually came over and that is when I found out that they have been in business for 16 months. At the end of our meal the manager came over to see how we enjoyed our meal. At this point, I did not see any reason to express any concerns. Why did I not ask this information from our waitress, lol, reason has been stated. I do wish this restaurant success and growth. Elite Tip- It would not hurt for the manager to walk the floor. After placing our orders, we were later informed that they were out of one of the meats, so they said they would give us more beef to compensate. I would've preferred ordering something else, but I think they had already started on the order before realizing they ran out of one of the meats. In the end, the food was good!
