Last week, my husband, mother, and puppy arrived at Pond for dinner around 7:40 PM. Since we had the puppy, we were seated on the porch. Several times, waiters came out to clean up other tables, but we werent asked for our drink orders for 10 minutes after we arrived (around 7:50). We asked about possibly turning on one of the heaters that were on the porch, and one waiter went in to ask and never returned. When the waiter took our drink order, we asked again. The answer didn't appear until our drinks finally came (about another 10 minutes). We had been there now about 20 minutes. With, the drink, our food waiter arrived to take our order and let us know that they had run out of fuel for the heaters but we could move to a fire table at no extra charge. So we gathered our belonging and went to a table with a nice fire going, however the seats were shallow making them not very comfortable. They were also tall, making the metal seat dig into the back of thigh as my leg hung, so I used a low chair. We came to Pond on that night because it was my mother's birthday. She isn't able to get out very often because her husband has dementia, and she, herself, has a mobility issue. This was supposed to be a rare treat. Instead it was one fiasco after another. When we put our food order in, my mother gave two orders: one to eat there and one to take home. Our waiter encouraged that we put those orders in at that time because, she said, the kitchen could run out. With my food, I ordered broccoli double steamed to make it soft and lemon slices. After we gave our orders, we began the long wait. While we waited, the fire on the table shut off. We were plunged into the cold, and when the waiter came back, she made no attempt to turn it back on. It seemed that we had run out of fuel, anyway. Around 8:40, our meal came out. Our waiter apologized for the delay, she made an "off the cuff" comment that she was slammed with a 15 person party inside the restaurant (pro-tip: customers don't like to hear that their needs were bumped in order serve other people). As our waiter was placing our plates in front of us, my mother noticed that the waiter had brought the take-home order (the one she intended to give her home bound husband) not the one she wanted to eat. The waiter made some comments and swiftly took my mothers food plate away. In the meantime, neither my husband nor I knew whether to wait or eat. The idea that we should eat while my mother was hungry was uncomfortable, however we did just that. I ate, barely able to cut my food because I was in such a low seat. And for my broccoli, I got a generous single slice of lemon. The rest of the food was good, however. By the time we had finished eating, my mother's food arrived. Since it was about time for the restaurant to close we decided to just go ahead and leave. We asked for both orders to be packed up and to give the check. When the check came, it was wrong, so the waiter had to take them in to fix them. My mother, the birthday girl, left hungry and cold. We were given cheesecake to assuage our ire, but it turned out to be dry and hard. The crust of the cake almost needed a hammer to break it. In any event, we will not be returning to Pond. Im not sure about the service inside, but be prepared to be placed in limbo if you are sitting on the porch and be sure to get there before 7 in order to correct any mishaps. read more

Has you wash hands prior to seating. Friendly staff. Love the atmosphere! The only downside is food was served cold. It would have been really awesome if it weren't for that it would have been much better. Will go again though read more

READ IF YOU'RE HAVING MORE THAN 10 IN A PARTY! I've been to this place a few times and always had good service. Tonight, I can't say that AT ALL. Was there for a party. Granted there was about 30 individuals, but there were a few things that didn't add up. 1. Food seemed to come out as they were ready from the kitchen (awesome, but a few were cold). How does it come directly from the kitchen and it's cold? Also, the orders weren't correct. Like way off. 2. Multiple individuals did not get to place their order. Almost everyone had their food, cold or not, before a few folks were able to place their order. 3. All checks were split. Family of four, four different checks. You get the point. What was the reason for this? Maybe to gain more of a tip (mandatory 20% with parties over 10). 4. Everyone receive their bills and over half were incorrect. That wasn't even the bad part. When we tried to speak to the waiter/waitress to have it correct, they disappeared. Like "poof" Houdini, gone. The party sat for 30 minutes until a few folks went inside and found the Manager to pay at the hostess station. After about 10 individuals paid inside with the Manager so we could leave, they comped everyone else. So those 10 folks are SOL for cold food, inadequate service, increased tip amount, and disappearing wait staff. Extremely disappointed. Do not recommend this place for a large party. read more

Ambiance is nice.and has potential for a nice evening get away spot. Service was friendly . Sunday is buffet /brunch until 2:30pm, and quality of the food is average with Very little selection on the buffet. Majority of food was meat with no veggies , sides nor bread. Breakfast was fruit and pancakes. Chicken tenders were dry and had no seasoning. Many of the trays were empty when i went through. Traffic flow from buffet to seating is not ideal. The price was $22 for adults for not much of a food selection. In total I spent $30+ for one person. Over priced for low to average food. read more

Today was my 1st visit to the pond. I was beyond impressed. I had the scallops dinner and it was cooked to perfection. The margarita was great And the live music made the evening very relaxing. The wait staff was courteous and the dinner suggestion was spot on. This is the first time my husband and I have eaten in a restaurant since COVID and boy did we pick the right spot. Went with my husband for dinner on a Saturday late evening. We sat at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. The bartender was fast and friendly. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It came out relatively quickly- it was hot but it definitely needed more seasoning, very bland. We both ordered the catfish, it took quite a while to come out. The fish was hot however it was obvious one large catfish filet was divided to appear as two and the mashed potatoes were cold- $18.50 is a bit much for one piece of fish. Definitely did not get value for money. We might go back on a week night. read more

Very nice location and atmosphere but this is about where it ends as this restaurant is simply not ready for "PrimeTime". At present, I think The Pond is a very nice place to grab a drink or even perhaps an appetizer but the kitchen staff needs better/proper staff management/supervision. First, with reservations and limited patronage, it took over 15 minutes to be seated and another 15 minutes before a server took my party's order. Once the order was placed, it took exactly one hour for the food to arrive. Two of four meals arrived in a totally unacceptable state and were sent back. The staff management tried to make it right by comping the meals but the evening was blown as my party was over two hours in at this point and there was no recovering from this subpar experience. All in all, a very marginal D- (and I am being kind here). I truly want to see this establishment thrive as a quality restaurant is needed in Warner Robins; but respectfully, I will not be returning until there are some major changes made to improve the overall dining experience. read more

Had a reservation. Still had to wait for a table. First our app came same time as dinner. Ordered the ribeye, it was not a ribeye, but a cheap round steak they sold as a ribeye. Tough and no flavor. Nice decor, fresh food, variety and hefty portions. My favorite is the kale caeser salad and gouda mac-n-cheese bites. Nice place for a birthday dinner. Very helpful staff and I love the water view. I usually see a family of ducks or other wildlife which is a treat. Only catch is sometimes the food is not as good-tastes rushed or something. The hostess and waitress was extremely nice. I am usually easy to please, but the food was not up to par. The crab cakes were burnt on the outside and little raw on the inside. The Brussels sprouts side items were still on the rough and raw side, not a bad flavor, Decided to try the beignets as a dessert, since my wife grew up in New Orleans, and I lived there for over 14 years. The Beignets were by far not even close to a Louisiana beignet. If I was a lawyer, I might have thought about suing for false advertisement.lol Great staff, which is a big part to a dinning experience, but the food has to be good quality to merit price and need reservations. Next time I'll travel to Macon's finer restaurants. Worth the drive difference and improved food quality or save 90.00 and eat O'charleys Food quality is on par with most chain restaurants. read more

Beautiful Venue. Good food but poor service. We waited 30 minutes for drink order to arrive after ordering. Ordered the Crab Cakes which arrived barely warm and the waitress dropped it on the table and abruptly walked away with out a word. We had no plates or silverware and had to go inside and request them. Ran out of water at the table, as the waitress checked in very infrequently. Second time visiting on 03/25/2023 was just as good, if not better than the first time. This time I got the sweet potato waffle fries and they were delicious. I stuck with bourbon glazed salmon and it did not disappoint. Service was again...on point! Awkward and odd to be told that we have to go to the bathroom to wash our hands before we can be seated. At our table for almost an hour before entrees arrived. Guacamole appetizer was unseasoned and had more tomatoes than avocado. Grits were bland. Blackened salmon was salty. Brisket sandwich was so fatty, I ate almost none of it. So, first off I was really excited about coming here. The building and interior is beautiful. The view off the patio is gorgeous. They were not doing any kind of "covid" seating, which struck me as odd but it was fine. We ordered a beer and a cocktail. Both were great, even though the stout was poured into a Stella glass but that's nitpicking. We ordered the calamari to start and it was excellent. We joked about ordering more for dinner instead of entrees. And probably should have. I ordered the blackened chicken, broccoli and mac n cheese. The plating was a mess, cheese everywhere, broccoli just tossed on the side. My chicken was cheap chicken. I am not sure how to explain that other than it was not chicken that I would buy. The flavor of the chicken was good. It was a breast and boneless skinless thigh. Which had not been trimmed. The broccoli looked and tasted like it had come from a bag of frozen veg. No seasoning on that. My husband got the bourbon glazed salmon with shrimp with a side Caesar salad and mashed potatoes. The salmon was good. The shrimp okay. The "Caesar" salad was a mixed blend of greens topped with store bought croutons and drenched in subpar dressing. No lemon at all. The mashed potatoes were okay. We paid $71 for this meal and I would not pay that again. I had high hopes but I was disappointed in the entrees. read more

Brunch experience was very disappointing. First thing once we get here for our reservation, we are kurtly told that they are "short staffed," and we had to wait about 20 minutes just to get seated. We were told that we were "welcome to wait in the car," which was somewhat off putting. After we began walking to the car, we came back and asked the if it would be just OK if we sat outside on this nice sunny day on the back deck of the restaurant, and the answer was yes. Not sure why she didn't offer that in the first place. Stuff happens, and this all by itself would have been fine. The greeting staff was not very friendly at all. More or less seemed moderately irritated by our mere presence. But the negative experience didn't stop here. Our server, also seemed irritated that we asked for certain things. I simply asked how many eggs come with the omelette, and the answer was 2. So I asked for more eggs to be added to the omelet, but I again met the excuse of the restaurant being short staffed and I couldn't do that because "it would slow down the kitchen." Food came out very fast, but was not what I had ordered. Omelette had incorrect contents, side missing. I asked again for my side of white toast. What came out later was wheat or something else, but not white. At that point, was when I also realized that the omelette wasn't what I ordered. I requested that along with my white toast, the waitress just bring out the bacon as a side, since it wasn't in the omelet. So later, what I thought was a manager brought out the toast and the side of bacon, and he began explaining to me how their white bread was different than others, and he had the white toast in hand. I had to explain to him that this white bread is just fine, but it is not at all what they brought out the first time. The manager also asked me what complaints I had about the bacon, and I told him there were no complaints at all, they just didn't provide the bacon at all, so I just asked for it on the side instead. Clear disconnects between communication and fundamental awareness for the staff. I already finished my main entrée, but had a nice bacon toast sandwich at the end. Food was actually good, but across-the-board, the service and overall demeanor of the staff was, for lack of better words, hollow, unapologetic for making error after error, and basically cold. Tension amongst all of the staff was universal, and really took away from the ambiance. I can certainly appreciate that times are rough during Covid, and even when a place is understaffed, but the overall experience was very poor here due to factors easily controllable by the staff. This was, by far, the poorest and most uncomfortable customer service experience in the restaurant business that I've received in Warner Robins thus far. I'm having trouble believing this was just one bad day due to how so many things went wrong at multiple points in the experience. Clearly get your own experience and form your own opinions, but this was mine. read more

Food and atmosphere was great! Service was unexpectedly awful. Sage, our server, reminded me of the movie Megan with her sweet voice and fake smile. The greeter let our server know we were celebrating a birthday and to bring a complimentary slice of chocolate cake with happy birthday written on the plate. We never received the cake. Unbeknownst to us, that was going to be the last interaction with ANYONE. After waiting 25 minutes and being ignored by the wait staff to just to get water, we left. Walking past the hostess station we told them why we were leaving and the response was a mere "sorry". We even tried to call the manager but were told he was busy and to leave a message. Good luck. Upon walk in the hostess seem confused and unsure of them selves after a bit of confusion we were seated... Quanedreya our server did a great job kept our drinks full and was very pleasant... this outdoor seating is beautiful but please make the deck smoke free and E-Cig free. The smoking was just plan trashy. I ordered the Ora salmon special. The quality of the salmon was excellent however the sides weren't. You could tell that the cook cut corners on the specials and ran out of the couscous that's was supposed to be served with this dish and tried to pass off rice expecting me not to notice. The broccoli had large brown spots in it. Really ticked me off for a dish costing 27$ make it the way it is advertised don't cut corners.... cost never bothers me I will regularly pay 30-40$ for an entree. But this is Warner Robins and 27 for poorly prepared dish is unacceptable. my wife had the chicken sandwich. It was cooked excellent, but the level of salt and spices on the chicken was overwhelming it was extremely over spiced .. read more

This restaurant gets 10 stars from me. I was pleased with the sanitation efforts by the restaurant when you walk in to immediately wash hands. The place is very nicely remodeled. The lighting is great. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Really a joy to speak with. The food was amazing. I ordered the mac and cheese bites and shrimp cocktail. They were delicious. The mac and cheese were made with Gouda cheese. Very rich and creamy. My entree was the salmon and shrimp special and my two sides were the sweet potato waffle fries with a cinnamon sprinkle and a honey glaze and brocolli. When I tell you that entree was delicious scrumptious delectable all of that and then some. I highly recommend you try this establishment. Great add for the area and I will be returning. read more

Nasty food, service sucks! I tried when it first opened & never went back, food was horrendous!

Don't my 28th anniversary there. Totally worth it!. Food ins great and expensive. Impressed with what they have done with this place!

We went here for dinner and drinks tonight. After finally being seated outside (with a reservation) we waited over an hour for food and were never served! We finally gave up and left. This is such a nice location and we really enjoy going there but the last few times the food has been just ok. That is when you actually get some food! Don't think we will go back anytime soon read more
