Nasty food, service sucks! I tried when it first opened & never went back, food was horrendous!

Food and atmosphere was great! Service was unexpectedly awful. Sage, our server, reminded me of the movie Megan with her sweet voice and fake smile. The greeter let our server know we were celebrating a birthday and to bring a complimentary slice of chocolate cake with happy birthday written on the plate. We never received the cake. Even after I inquired a second time with the greeter we received our bill with no cake. Earlier we agreed to come back in Spring. Guess it's a no now! read more

One star is gracious. So.....we made reservations. Arriving a few minutes prior to our reserved time, we were seated after only a very short wait. Unbeknownst to us, that was going to be the last interaction with ANYONE. After waiting 25 minutes and being ignored by the wait staff to just to get water, we left. Walking past the hostess station we told them why we were leaving and the response was a mere "sorry". We even tried to call the manager but were told he was busy and to leave a message. Good luck. You've been warned. read more

Giving it 4.5 stars for the food and drinks alone. We went for lunch. The food was absolutely amazing. Some reviews said the food was subpar, I disagree. As a party of 3 we each ordered different things and they were all really good. We started with the calamari. I'd say it was decent. Wasn't the best but also wasn't bad. Just you're typical fried calamari. I had the salmon and it was perfectly grilled and crusted. Wasn't too fishy and wasn't over seasoned. I got the sweet potato fries and the quinoa sides. Both very good. The sweet potato fries were waffle cut with fresh brown sugar and so good. I also had the Bloody Mary- now I've had a lot of of bloody Mary's all over the place and that bartender definitely knew what she was doing! One of the best BM I've ever had. I tried the other food our party ordered as well. One got the burger, which many people told us to try. It was really good. It came open face so you can add the extras and sauces you wanted. The meat was a good quality meat and the bun was toasted just enough. They got the sweet potato fries too. The other person got the pork chop with some type of garlic mash. That's was super tender and very flavorful. You could cut it with your fork almost. Now, for the service. I'd give it 2.5- 3 stars. This was our second attempt to come here. The first time we tried to come just two of us after church. There wasn't a huge line or anything so we walk to the host stand and she tells us they can't serve us without a reservation yet NO WHERE on their website does it say that nor are there signs anywhere on site saying that. Also, I've been to some pretty top notch restaurants that usually recommend or require reservations and even most of those are able to squeeze in a small party or two. You may have to wait a bit but usually they accommodate you. This place wouldn't accommodate us. I thought that was just odd and not a good first impression. And they were a little rude about it. I was super nice and said thank you anyway, we really had no idea and left but I honestly didn't want to ever go back. The next weekend my mother said she really wanted to try it so I made reservations and decided to give it another try. We were able to get seated with our reservation this time but the hostess was again kinda rude and said she would seat us and then disappeared for like ten minutes (so weird). Once seated we didn't get out server to greet us or attend to us for over 15 minutes. We finally flagged someone and said we needed drinks and to order. After that the service was great and our waitress was really sweet and kind. I think maybe they are just short staffed. Would I go back? Hmm maybe. The food and drink are enough to take me back but the service might make me think twice, especially for the cost. read more

The Pond is a destination place for special date nights, wedding rehearsal dinners, weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, etc. Their outdoor patio is awesome. Overlooks a beautiful lake with fire pits, huge umbrellas and is very romantic at sunset. The food is amazing as are the hand made deserts, hand cut steaks and seafood. Great place to gather with friends and family!!! read more

Pond - Strawberry cheesecake parfait! - New American Near Me - Warner Robins, Georgia

My experience at pond was pretty good. The staff was friendly, they exceeded COVID-19 restrictions, and the food was pretty tasty. My only complaint is that we went there on a Saturday for brunch only to find out it's only served on Sunday. I know it's a newer restaurant, but I wish there was some information available saying that ahead of time. read more

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food was good. Clean bathrooms. I liked that they have you wash your hands before you're seated as precaution to the current situation. I will definitely return with friends/family. read more

WOW !! I travel to the Macon / Warner Robins area from North Atlanta at least 1 week out of the month. Discovered this Gem today and I am officially a regular. Well prepared and quality ingredients. I'll be back soon !!!! read more

Everything from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere was on POINT. I ate here on my birthday in February and brought my mother her for her birthday, and both times surpassed my expectations. The restaurant looks and smells clean, the service from the hostess to the waitress, (Nu) was amazing. The Mai Tai cocktails I had were fresh and by no means watered down. All the food we ate tasted like it was cooked right that second and the ingredients, even in the salad tasted crisp and fresh. The prices are on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for, and this was definitely worth it in quality and amount. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this restaurant and I will most definitely be visiting again. read more

Had reservations for 7:45 and was told when we got there that they were running behind. We sat in the car for 30 min and got a text that said our table was ready. We ordered our food at 8:30 and didn't get it until 10:15. Our appetizer took 45 min to come out as well and it was just a bowl of gumbo. Our waitress was super nice and great just bad management. It shouldn't take 3 hours to eat dinner with reservations. Didn't get a discount but got a free chocolate cake. Yay! read more

Best view in Warner Robins. Good restaurant for a date night or special occasion. Had the pimento cheese burger and sweet potato fries and it was delicious. I was disappointed they didn't have any gluten free buns like they're menu said but I'll blame that one on COVID shortages maybe. The burger was still good bunless. Probably should specify if you have a gluten allergy though because my burger came out on a regular bun. Overall a decent experience though and I would come back. read more

This place has a lot of potential, but they failed in a couple of key areas. The restaurant has great architecture and a lot of tables, and the menu has a large variety of foods to choose from. We (4 people in party) arrived at 6:15 and there weren't any people waiting, however for some reason they made a reservation for us then and there for 6:30. We were promptly seated at 6:30 and the server came to us fairly quickly to get our waters and take our orders. After about a half hour of waiting, the server came by and said that our food should be out any minute. She came back a few more times to say the same thing, and finally, after literally AN HOUR, our food came out. I ordered the catfish, and it and the fries were luke-warm and didn't taste very well. One of the people that I was eating with ordered a chicken sandwich, and none of the toppings that she ordered were on the sandwich. After being in the restaurant for over an hour and a half, we just wanted to get out of there, and it took another 10 minutes for our checks to be cashed out. The server didn't even apologize for the food taking so long to come out, nor did she offer any kind of compensation. read more

We've been waiting for this place to open and are very pleased they did so even with the COVID circumstances. We've tried it twice now and are very pleased with it. First was the family meal of fried chicken (no bones), green beans (fresh, not from a can), and max&cheese (homemade like Momma's). Yum! Second time we tried a hamburger and portobello goat cheese sandwich. Burger was good, but the portobello sandwich was fabulous; tons of flavor! read more

Made a reservation for 6:00, got there at 6, and then proceeded to wait for 15 minutes for a table to be placed at. Went to ask the front desk after 15 minutes if we could be seated since half the restaurant was empty and was told that having a reservation doesn't guarantee getting a table at that time...it's called a reservation because you RESERVE the table for that time. 0 stars before we could even taste the food. read more

Made a reservation, showed up early only to be told it would be a few minutes. Waited 25 minutes then told they still had multiple parties ahead of us. Manager was very rude and made no attempt to help, do not waste your time or money read more

Barely mediocre brunch. It was very weird to be told to wash our hands before being seated, after doing so we have to touch doors and tables and menus so the hand washing is useless. Our waitress was VERY awkward, and stood by us waiting for us to pay for the bill. It was so awkward we didn't even look at the bill because we were being pressured to pay by her just standing there. She asked us if we needed more to drink or wanted to go drinks about 5 times in the span of 10 minutes. She came back 2-3 times to continually give us syrup about 30 minutes before we had any food, she ended up giving us 7 syrup containers for 5 people with no food. She only saw us 3 times and awkwardly laughed when apologizing for not actually serving us as all. When being told we didn't like our meals she did not offer any replacements or ask if we'd like it remade (because my cousin didn't like the marshmallow like sauce on the food) she just said "oh" Even when the food was barely touched and she was being told my cousin didn't like it at all and didn't touch it for the remainder of the meal we still had to pay for barely eaten and nasty undercooked and soggy food with no offers of a replacement my cousin might like. I got the waffles (peaches) cousins got the French toast, omelet, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, grits, bacon. (Pretty much a little bit of what was on the menu, which is not a lot) Waffles were thin, soggy, and felt microwaved. My cousins said they tasted like soggy eggos. Omelets were not very good or seasoned. And was just a mess. The peaches were grilled and made anything they touched soggy as hell and disgusting. The marshmallow sauce like stuff they use is decent but it doesn't really taste good when you eat it with soggy eggos and grilled bitter peaches. The bacon was definitely undercooked, a soggy mess. Grits tasted like you were eating an omelette but in grit form and that really messed with the texture of it. It's just gross. The only things good about it is the plating. They have amazing presentation, perfect for pretty breakfast food pictures. And they also had really cute syrup containers. But it was still nasty. read more

Had a 730pm reservation for a nice evening with a date. Waited until 755 and asked how much longer until being seated and hostess stated she had no idea. We left. I wish I could give this place a full 5 stars. The food overall is great, the scenery is beautiful, and most of the staff have been accommodating and nice. Cheesecake is amazing! However, our first visit one of the women who was a hostess seemed abrupt with ourselves and others- mainly for people not knowing about the reservation policy. Our most recent visit, however, we had an unpleasant encounter with a man who we presume to be the owner. He spoke in a passive aggressive manner to a member of our party who was waiting between the bar and kitchen area in order to tell our server that he would be paying for our table's meals (as a surprise) and the man stated in a rude tone that he was "in the kitchen area" (although in fact, not and not obstructing the path or in the doorway to the kitchen) and essentially was bothered that he was there. After he explained that he was trying to catch our server, the man says "I don't think you understand me, you're in the kitchen area." This is just plain rude and undignified behavior, to speak to a guest that way. But let me say that the behavior of this guy doesn't tarnish the whole staff- one women who was a manager was so kind and helpful, I can't rave enough about her. I truly appreciated her wonderful demeanor and talent to speak to customers. Finally, I work as someone who deals with a customer - service oriented environment where I'm constantly answering questions and (although not explicitly in the job requirements) I choose to be kind to others to make their experience as great as I can. Me acting as if people are stupid for being in a certain place or asking something is just plain bad manners. I refuse to act that way, even if my day is bad. Okay, rant over, lol. Moral of the story- just be nice! read more

Went to the Pond on Saturday night. we had the catfish bites and the Mac & Cheese bites as appetizers. UPDATE: I have updated my review from one star to three. I called the manager, Tim, who was extremely apologetic and helpful. He resolved the issue of the double charge and profusely expressed regret for our experience. Thank you, Tim, for bringing some light to our experience. I hope to try the Pond again one day. I called and made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night. When I arrived at 7:30, they stated my reservation was for 7:45 even though I'm extremely positive whomever I spoke with stated 7:30. It took until nearly 8:15 when my party of three was seated; even though, the host stated it would only be about fifteen to twenty minutes when we first arrived. After being seated, the server took so long to take our drink order that we already knew what we wanted to eat and gave her our order all at once. Approximately 45 minutes later, our food finally came out. My wife's waffle fries and my french fries were cold; but, we didn't say anything. I got fried catfish which was rather delicious. My wife got the grilled salmon which was very under, raw, in the center. Our other guest had the shrimp and grits; she said they were really good. There was no compensation for the raw fish and we weren't willing to wait another 45 minutes for a cooked piece of fish. When we left the restaurant after 9:20, we agreed we probably would not return. The issue afterwards, however, is that the restaurant debited our card twice. We are currently waiting until Monday morning to see if this issue will automatically correct itself when the first "business day" arrives. I would not suggest this restaurant to anyone in the future and we will not be returning - A local of Perry and Warner Robins, GA read more

Went to the Pond for lunch today with my sons for my birthday. We were seated outside (found it strange that we weren't asked if we wanted outside, but ok.). Our waitress, Yasmine came and took our order pretty quickly. I ordered blackened shrimp, salad, and grits. My son ordered huevo burger (medium, but it came out well done) and fries. My other son ordered catfish, grits, and salad. His salad came out after about 20 min. Mine did not. Another 15 or 20, another server brought our food. I mentioned I had never got my salad, she said she'd tell our waitress. After a good 20 min or more (we were completely finished with our meals and had empty drinks), Yasmine shows up to ask how everything was. I explain I never got my salad to which she replied, "I'll go check on that." Huh?????? Umm, we're done eating, but whatever. Also when we get the bill, was charged $1 for provolone that we didn't ask for. Overall, the service was pretty awful and we all decided we'd pass on coming back solely for that reason. read more

In love with the vibes and views at this spot. Definitely recommend the macaroni and cheese side and gin martinis. We will be back!

I had made reservations a week and a half before Mother's Day weekend. I received a text message confirming my reservation on Saturday morning. I get to the restaurant and they have overbooked. They are having a birthday party on the patio which I reserved and was told it would not be a problem. We arrived with our party and they try to first tell me that my reservation was for May 1. No way, I have a confirmation right here on my phone. They were so rude and tried to act like our reservation didn't matter. No one from the establishment has tried to contact me. If you are planning an important event, please use another restaurant. I promise you that you will thank me later. There were also 3 other couples that were turned away because they had reservations for the patio. The manager basically told us that we could find some where else to go if we did not want to wait. The part that really made me mad was that I had a confirmation and they tried to deny it. If you overbooked, just say that. DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT. read more

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner Thursday evening and a fabulous brunch today. Very nice building with a outside area on Leisure Lake. Much attention to detail in all aspects, decor, silverware, tables, outdoor and indoor seating. Short wine list with great choices. Varied menu with more we want to try. Service was very good and the manager delivered both bottles of wine we ordered for dinner. The manager recognized us in our return trip and came over to welcome us back. For dinner we enjoyed a nice Pinot Noir with fried oysters, surf and turf with filet mignon and shrimp, cheese grits, New York strip, potatoes. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful sunset over Leisure Lake. For brunch today, rain forced us inside and we arrived to early for the Warner Robins alcohol regulations so no mimosa or Bloody Mary--next time we will go later. We all had a different breakfast from pancakes to two different styles of eggs Benedict and an omelet. Bacon and cheese grits, also. We look forward to many more meals at Pond Cafe. read more

Wow! We did not feel like we were in Warner Robins, GA!!! My husband and I are totally impressed! We sat outside next to the pond, the ambiance of the whole restaurant area was fantastic! The food was EXCELLENT, everything so fresh and nice serving sizes. We had the, seriously, melt-in-your-mouth salmon (it was a special) and the chicken etouffée. I am telling you, worth the wait and the money! The manager, Timothy, was exceptional in describing the food choices and flavors. My husband and I had a date night here for dinner. I made reservations a couple of days ahead, our table was ready as soon as we arrived. The atmosphere was unlike any other in this area. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Our food was amazing, as well as the drinks. The weather was rainy, so we didn't get to enjoy going outside by the lake, maybe next time.
