Everything from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere was on POINT. I ate here on my birthday in February and brought my mother her for her birthday, and both times surpassed my expectations. The restaurant looks and smells clean, the service from the hostess to the waitress, (Nu) was amazing. The Mai Tai cocktails I had were fresh and by no means watered down. All the food we ate tasted like it was cooked right that second and the ingredients, even in the salad tasted crisp and fresh. The prices are on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for, and this was definitely worth it in quality and amount. Had reservations for 7:45 and was told when we got there that they were running behind. We sat in the car for 30 min and got a text that said our table was ready. We ordered our food at 8:30 and didn't get it until 10:15. Our appetizer took 45 min to come out as well and it was just a bowl of gumbo. Our waitress was super nice and great just bad management. Best view in Warner Robins. Good restaurant for a date night or special occasion. Had the pimento cheese burger and sweet potato fries and it was delicious. I was disappointed they didn't have any gluten free buns like they're menu said but I'll blame that one on COVID shortages maybe. The burger was still good bunless. Went to ask the front desk after 15 minutes if we could be seated since half the restaurant was empty and was told that having a reservation doesn't guarantee getting a table at that time...it's called a reservation because you RESERVE the table for that time. 0 stars before we could even taste the food. read more

This place has a lot of potential, but they failed in a couple of key areas. The restaurant has great architecture and a lot of tables, and the menu has a large variety of foods to choose from. We (4 people in party) arrived at 6:15 and there weren't any people waiting, however for some reason they made a reservation for us then and there for 6:30. We were promptly seated at 6:30 and the server came to us fairly quickly to get our waters and take our orders. After about a half hour of waiting, the server came by and said that our food should be out any minute. She came back a few more times to say the same thing, and finally, after literally AN HOUR, our food came out. I ordered the catfish, and it and the fries were luke-warm and didn't taste very well. One of the people that I was eating with ordered a chicken sandwich, and none of the toppings that she ordered were on the sandwich. After being in the restaurant for over an hour and a half, we just wanted to get out of there, and it took another 10 minutes for our checks to be cashed out. We've been waiting for this place to open and are very pleased they did so even with the COVID circumstances. We've tried it twice now and are very pleased with it. First was the family meal of fried chicken (no bones), green beans (fresh, not from a can), and max&cheese (homemade like Momma's). Yum! Barely mediocre brunch. It was very weird to be told to wash our hands before being seated, after doing so we have to touch doors and tables and menus so the hand washing is useless. Our waitress was VERY awkward, and stood by us waiting for us to pay for the bill. It was so awkward we didn't even look at the bill because we were being pressured to pay by her just standing there. She asked us if we needed more to drink or wanted to go drinks about 5 times in the span of 10 minutes. She came back 2-3 times to continually give us syrup about 30 minutes before we had any food, she ended up giving us 7 syrup containers for 5 people with no food. She only saw us 3 times and awkwardly laughed when apologizing for not actually serving us as all. When being told we didn't like our meals she did not offer any replacements or ask if we'd like it remade (because my cousin didn't like the marshmallow like sauce on the food) she just said "oh" Even when the food was barely touched and she was being told my cousin didn't like it at all and didn't touch it for the remainder of the meal we still had to pay for barely eaten and nasty undercooked and soggy food with no offers of a replacement my cousin might like. I got the waffles (peaches) cousins got the French toast, omelet, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, grits, bacon. (Pretty much a little bit of what was on the menu, which is not a lot) Waffles were thin, soggy, and felt microwaved. My cousins said they tasted like soggy eggos. Omelets were not very good or seasoned. And was just a mess. The peaches were grilled and made anything they touched soggy as hell and disgusting. The marshmallow sauce like stuff they use is decent but it doesn't really taste good when you eat it with soggy eggos and grilled bitter peaches. The bacon was definitely undercooked, a soggy mess. Grits tasted like you were eating an omelette but in grit form and that really messed with the texture of it. It's just gross. The only things good about it is the plating. They have amazing presentation, perfect for pretty breakfast food pictures. And they also had really cute syrup containers. But it was still nasty. read more

This was my first dine-in experience with this location and will not be coming back. I wish I could give this place a full 5 stars. The food overall is great, the scenery is beautiful, and most of the staff have been accommodating and nice. Cheesecake is amazing! However, our first visit one of the women who was a hostess seemed abrupt with ourselves and others- mainly for people not knowing about the reservation policy. Our most recent visit, however, we had an unpleasant encounter with a man who we presume to be the owner. He spoke in a passive aggressive manner to a member of our party who was waiting between the bar and kitchen area in order to tell our server that he would be paying for our table's meals (as a surprise) and the man stated in a rude tone that he was "in the kitchen area" (although in fact, not and not obstructing the path or in the doorway to the kitchen) and essentially was bothered that he was there. After he explained that he was trying to catch our server, the man says "I don't think you understand me, you're in the kitchen area." This is just plain rude and undignified behavior, to speak to a guest that way. But let me say that the behavior of this guy doesn't tarnish the whole staff- one women who was a manager was so kind and helpful, I can't rave enough about her. I truly appreciated her wonderful demeanor and talent to speak to customers. Finally, I work as someone who deals with a customer - service oriented environment where I'm constantly answering questions and (although not explicitly in the job requirements) I choose to be kind to others to make their experience as great as I can. Me acting as if people are stupid for being in a certain place or asking something is just plain bad manners. I refuse to act that way, even if my day is bad. Okay, rant over, lol. Went to the Pond on Saturday night. we had the catfish bites and the Mac & Cheese bites as appetizers. We were with another couple who had the salmon and the chicken Parmesan which they said was delicious. We had the ribeye steak and magi mahi for our entrees. They were excellent. The young lady who waited on us did a great job. She was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone. UPDATE: I have updated my review from one star to three. I called the manager, Tim, who was extremely apologetic and helpful. He resolved the issue of the double charge and profusely expressed regret for our experience. Thank you, Tim, for bringing some light to our experience. I hope to try the Pond again one day. I called and made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night. When I arrived at 7:30, they stated my reservation was for 7:45 even though I'm extremely positive whomever I spoke with stated 7:30. It took until nearly 8:15 when my party of three was seated; even though, the host stated it would only be about fifteen to twenty minutes when we first arrived. After being seated, the server took so long to take our drink order that we already knew what we wanted to eat and gave her our order all at once. Approximately 45 minutes later, our food finally came out. My wife's waffle fries and my french fries were cold; but, we didn't say anything. I got fried catfish which was rather delicious. My wife got the grilled salmon which was very under, raw, in the center. Our other guest had the shrimp and grits; she said they were really good. There was no compensation for the raw fish and we weren't willing to wait another 45 minutes for a cooked piece of fish. When we left the restaurant after 9:20, we agreed we probably would not return. The issue afterwards, however, is that the restaurant debited our card twice. We are currently waiting until Monday morning to see if this issue will automatically correct itself when the first "business day" arrives. Went to the Pond for lunch today with my sons for my birthday. We were seated outside (found it strange that we weren't asked if we wanted outside, but ok.). Our waitress, Yasmine came and took our order pretty quickly. I ordered blackened shrimp, salad, and grits. My son ordered huevo burger (medium, but it came out well done) and fries. My other son ordered catfish, grits, and salad. His salad came out after about 20 min. Mine did not. Another 15 or 20, another server brought our food. I mentioned I had never got my salad, she said she'd tell our waitress. After a good 20 min or more (we were completely finished with our meals and had empty drinks), Yasmine shows up to ask how everything was. I explain I never got my salad to which she replied, "I'll go check on that." Huh?????? Umm, we're done eating, but whatever. I had made reservations a week and a half before Mother's Day weekend. I received a text message confirming my reservation on Saturday morning. I get to the restaurant and they have overbooked. They are having a birthday party on the patio which I reserved and was told it would not be a problem. We arrived with our party and they try to first tell me that my reservation was for May 1. No way, I have a confirmation right here on my phone. They were so rude and tried to act like our reservation didn't matter. No one from the establishment has tried to contact me. If you are planning an important event, please use another restaurant. I promise you that you will thank me later. There were also 3 other couples that were turned away because they had reservations for the patio. The manager basically told us that we could find some where else to go if we did not want to wait. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner Thursday evening and a fabulous brunch today. Very nice building with a outside area on Leisure Lake. Much attention to detail in all aspects, decor, silverware, tables, outdoor and indoor seating. Short wine list with great choices. Varied menu with more we want to try. Service was very good and the manager delivered both bottles of wine we ordered for dinner. The manager recognized us in our return trip and came over to welcome us back. For dinner we enjoyed a nice Pinot Noir with fried oysters, surf and turf with filet mignon and shrimp, cheese grits, New York strip, potatoes. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful sunset over Leisure Lake. For brunch today, rain forced us inside and we arrived to early for the Warner Robins alcohol regulations so no mimosa or Bloody Mary--next time we will go later. We all had a different breakfast from pancakes to two different styles of eggs Benedict and an omelet. Bacon and cheese grits, also. We look forward to many more meals at Pond Cafe. read more

Wow! We did not feel like we were in Warner Robins, GA!!! My husband and I are totally impressed! We sat outside next to the pond, the ambiance of the whole restaurant area was fantastic! The food was EXCELLENT, everything so fresh and nice serving sizes. We had the, seriously, melt-in-your-mouth salmon (it was a special) and the chicken etouffée. I am telling you, worth the wait and the money! The manager, Timothy, was exceptional in describing the food choices and flavors. My husband and I had a date night here for dinner. I made reservations a couple of days ahead, our table was ready as soon as we arrived. The atmosphere was unlike any other in this area. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Our food was amazing, as well as the drinks. The weather was rainy, so we didn't get to enjoy going outside by the lake, maybe next time. Nice establishment, and amazing scenery. The vibe was very pleasant and the bar looked cozy. The downside was the wait; we waited over an hour even though we had a reservation and got there on time. The food was also hit and miss. We order the Filet Mignon and the New York strip with calamari as an appetizer. The Filet Mignon was okay but the New York strip was over seasoned and over cooked, also the mushroom sauce on the steak was super overkill and a bit flavorless. Overall severely overpriced for what it was. The Long Horn steak house down the road was much more reasonably priced, with similar to better quality. Over all the experience was interesting, but not sure if we would try it again. Our server Sage was absolutely amazing though! Super friendly and attentive, and we were informed that they completely understaffed for the evening. Would definitely say try it for your self with caution. read more
