I visited Cashman's Pub on Wing & Whiskey Wednesday and had a mixed experience overall. Let's start with the positives: the food was excellent. The Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls were just as amazing as I remembered, and the wings were cooked well. The food is definitely the highlight and the main reason I'll be returning to try more menu items. However, there were several areas that could use improvement. I ordered a tequila and pineapple juice drink, but it tasted watered down and lacked balance. It fell flat and wasn't very enjoyable. The blue cheese also wasn't appetizing and didn't pair well with my lemon pepper wings. I ended up using ranch instead, and I believe I was still charged for the blue cheese. The service was pleasant but inconsistent. My server was friendly and polite, which is why I still left a decent tip, but she didn't check on me as often as expected. I also found it unusual that I had to send my tip through Cash App because their payment system doesn't allow tips to be added directly to the receipt. That process felt inconvenient and outdated. The atmosphere has a lot of potential. The building itself is beautiful, and I love the overall ambiance. However, the seating could use some attention. I wore shorts, and the booth cushions were worn enough that they scratched my legs. The restaurant could also benefit from having a host or hostess. When you walk in, you're left to find your own seat, and there doesn't seem to be much guidance for guests. It appeared that there was only one server covering the dining area when I visited around 4:30-5:00 PM. While it wasn't particularly busy, having additional wait staff and a dedicated host would likely improve the customer experience significantly. The staff seemed nice and professional overall, but the restaurant would benefit from additional training, staffing, and a more organized front-of-house operation. Overall, I'd rate my experience 3.5 out of 5 stars. The food is absolutely on point and keeps me coming back, but improvements in service, seating, and guest hospitality would make a big difference. Cashman's Pub has tremendous potential, and with a few adjustments, it could easily become one of the area's top dining spots. read more

This is my second experience here. First time my sister brought me a to go order which was so freaking good so when she asked where should we eat I suggested here. Big Mistake!! We walked in and nearly every table was dirty so we opted to sit at the bar area which was not fully clean either but was a minor issue comparing to the other tables. I asked sis if she wanted to walk somewhere else to eat because we were in paid parking for 2 hours. It took 40 mins before our order was taken both drinks and food. The tea was terrible. I switched to water. We were observing how 2 people while came after us got their food before we did. We could tell they were regulars but that should not matter. When our food arrived, my sister stated I thought you ordered grilled chicken salad. I said I did but I will not send it back because it may take too long. I glanced the salad and continued eating my soup. The party next to me had some issues and sent their salad back which came out wrong again so after looking at mine I said this salad should have been hers and the one she initially had was mine. So they said they did not mind to switch because I hadn't touched mine and I was ok with that as well. I told the girl to just bring my eggs to go on the salad to make it correct. We and the party next to us boxed up our food and took it home. We all agreed it was simply too filthy to eat in there. Half of sis food was cold anyways. There were issues all around. A customer picking up food ended up cursing out one of the 2 servers they had. I have no clue exactly why this place was functioning as such but this definitely was a management issue. I was surprised the two servers did not walk out themselves. They were doing the best they could with the exception of unnecessary chatter at times with regular customers. This is by far one of my favorite places to dine. The customer service and the food are excellent. I recommend this restaurant to all that are near and dear to Macon. The food and drinks don't disappoint. Every time I step foot into this restaurant I am treated with the upmost respect. The food is made fresh to order. Cashman's Pub was the only place I had food at today. I came here for dinner and got food poisoning. I ordered a glass of Ginger Ale and a Po Boy with Grilled Shrimp and Tots on the side. The Po Boy wasn't an actual Po Boy, but it tasted good thanks to the remoulade. Little did I know that I would spend the rest of the night vomiting my dinner and feeling sick. Also, one of the bartenders - who handled cash, touched the register, and also made drinks - touched slices of lime without gloves and put them directly into beverages. I thought I'd be fine from germs since I didn't order an alcoholic drink, but I was clearly wrong. read more

I've been here a few times. This past time was for burger week. 10/10 recommend the burger! (Which probably doesn't exist anymore unfortunately.) But I've had their food in the past and it's all been good! The sides are large enough to share which is nice. They also have an expansive selection of bourbon. (Other spirits might be more limited.) The restaurant can get loud. But the vibe is cozy. Have never had bad service. Trivia nights are also fun! (Again can get a bit loud and hard to hear at times.) It's a staple place. Stopped in for dinner it was pretty empty, but it was Monday! It's open seating. I ordered some wings and a strawberry and a regular lemon drop. Everything was good. l my wings were nicely sauced and crispy. My drinks were on the sweet side by a decent lemon drop. The server was attentive, and they had some nice music. 2nd time we've been here and not impressed. Came in sat down and 10 min went by and servers walking by not even making eye contact. Finally we went to the bar and asked bartender if we had a server and he said no just come up to the bar when we needed anything. Food was good but just terrible service again. Price, serving, service - all good! The ambiance may look like it's for adults-only, you get that feel as you enter because it's a pub. But hey, there were a couple of families with little kids who dined in too! The nacho toppings were so generous, like the most generous compared with all I've tried for more than a decade. LOL. They were really good too! Def not your "regular nachos". The fish in fish and chips could be replaced with another kind of fish if they ever ran out of the usual, they'll tell you what kind. "Well, they can't all be winners." This comment captured our experience. It's not bad, but it wasn't a great spot for dinner either. Seems like a nice spot for a beer with a friend. We had a late, weeknight dinner and the music was at evening bar volume. It was loud and hard for the kids to hear us talk. Our server was very kind and was sweet with the kids. The kids meals were the highlight at $5 including a side and a drink. Without these, I would have gone 2 stars. The steak frites and the parmesan crusted salmon were both underwhelming. They felt like they'd sat under a salamander heater for too long. The top of each was crusted. Both dishes also had a white cream sauce that was bland. One of us very much didn't enjoy it. On the plus side, the mixed veggies side was a big step up from the usual with a nice mix of grilled/roasted vegetables. The service is terrible, and this isn't our first subpar incident here but will definitely be the last. The waitress wasn't attentive at all. My friend found plastic in her dish and after repeated attempts to wave over the waitress to no avail the bartender ended up coming to our table to see what was going on. From our observation the same bartender attempted to tell our waitress we were signaling her however she wouldn't look our direction. The bartender took the remainder of my friend's food and walked off. When he later walked back by my friend asked if there was a manager available as the plastic in her dish hadn't been addressed besides an I'm sorry that happened to you. The bartender said there wasn't one on duty but that they would comp her meal. They are seriously understaffed..1 waitress and 1 bartender and apparently no manager on duty. The waitress when she finally came to the table we asked for our checks it took another 20 minutes for the waitress to to bring tickets and another 20 minutes after that to return our cards. Our tickets were wrong but since it took so long we decided to settle it amongst ourselves since it was taking so long. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. read more

This Pub has a lot of potential but it is disorganized, slow service and very very loud. Definitely need additional wait / kitchen staff to get the orders out in a reasonable amount of time. the food and drink we did get was good but we left after appetizer course because extremely slow service. Some action should be taken to improve the acoustics; the noise level was so high we could not hear the conversation at our table. Too many hard surfaces. read more

I have been before on a Saturday in the afternoon. First time dining in late on a Saturday night. Started with one server who abandoned us. The other server was better however please always ask if there is a charge when you want extra anything. My husband asked for extra cheese for his Fish and grits dish. When we got the bill it was $1.00 charge for a take out cup full. Servers should tell you up front when you ask....they never do but she said I'm sorry but it's policy to charge for extras!
